TV Trivia: Can you guess the TV show title from this clue?

TV Trivia: Can you guess the TV show title from this clue?

Clue: After its first season drew disappointing ratings, the show was nearly cancelled. The network responded by ordering a special seven-episode summer season, airing new episodes while rival networks were showing reruns — a strategy that helped save the series.

Clue 2: The show's cast was considerably older than the characters they played, with one main cast member being 29 years old while playing a 16-year-old.

Final Clue: Drew Barrymore was reportedly offered a major role after one of the show's leading actresses left, but turned it down — with the part ultimately going to a former ‘Saved by the Bell’ star.

[Answer]: BEVERLY HILLS 90210

TV Trivia: Can you guess the TV show title from this clue?

Clue 1: The show's executive producer originally recorded the pilot's narration as a temporary placeholder until an actor could be cast, but test audiences and network executives loved his delivery so much that he ended up narrating the entire series.

Clue 2: A 1990s hip-hop group sued the studio over the show's title, claiming it infringed on their trademark.

Final Clue: The show's creators used handheld cameras, zooms, onscreen text, and archival footage to give the series the feel of a documentary about a dysfunctional family.

[Answer]: ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT

Shout out to the many who guessed correctly!

[Self-Promotion] Industry Insider: A competitive daily movie trivia game

I built a daily movie/TV trivia game where you can play individually each day or compete in leagues with friends and family. Or even public leagues with others.

I would love any and all feedback as I am constantly trying to improve the game. I am currently adding an in-app bonus game in the vein of '6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon.' It is a mini game where you link performers to other performers via movie titles.

Movie Trivia: Can you guess the movie title?

Clue 1: It marked the theatrical debut of a second generation actor whose father was already a Hollywood name — along with three other newcomers, and a performer who would go on to become the only cast member to win a Best Acting Oscar over three decades later.

I talked to a tradesperson about his field service app and realized there was room for something simpler and more affordable. So I built it.

A while back I had a conversation with someone who works at a plumbing company about the software they use to manage jobs, clients, and invoices. The tools exist, but they are either expensive, complex, or both. There seemed to be a gap for solo operators and small crews who just need something clean and mobile-first that doesn't cost $100+/month.

So I decided to build it myself. Now MyFieldPad is live on the App Store.

It handles job scheduling, client management, quotes, invoices with PDF generation, photo documentation, and sign in with Google. $29/month with a 30-day free trial. No contracts, cancel anytime. Survived multiple App Store rejections before finally getting approved!

Still early days but it's live and real. Happy to hear any feedback!

Movie trivia: Can you guess the film from this clue?

Clue 1: Two rising directors were vacationing together in Hawaii when one expressed interest in making a James Bond film. The other had a better idea — an adventure movie instead, and the idea took off.

Movie trivia: Can you guess the film from this single clue?

Clue 1: The concept was born after the writer read an Anne Rice novel and became obsessed with one question: what would immortality actually feel like if you couldn’t escape it?

Clue 2: Tom Hanks passed. Michael Keaton passed. The director ultimately turned to his most trusted comedic collaborator — an actor he'd worked with five times before and whose dry wit was perfectly suited for the role.
