[TOMT] [movie] A tv show or movie where the building is flooding
[TOMT] [movie]
Okay I have not much information & don’t expect anyone to get it, but worth a try.
I think it was a movie, on free to air tv in Australia (the random midday movies) early 2000’s.
All I remember is it was a building of some sort (I think) it could have been a boat but I’m pretty sure it was a building. It was flooding & they were trying to escape.
No it’s not Poseidon.
Am I too damaged ??
I already know the answer, I am beyond damaged. I just need to know if anyone else has experienced this? Did you ever heal, or am I forever broken.
Okay so, backstory- daddy issues. Parents separated when I was 2. My dad was still in my life sort of.. popping in and out, sometimes trying to fix it with my mother, always rented a house pretty close to us. Lots of trauma, he was a drug addict. He had no money so obviously worked his way around getting his fix in dangerous ways. I remember specifically one night a man rocked up at my house (just me & my mum) I was maybe around 7 ish years old. Anyways, kicked our door down to teach my dad a lesson, I don’t know exactly what happened as my mum tried to shield me from it all as much as she could. But now being an adult I’ve been filled in that the man was a bikie & my dad owed a huge debt because he was at a club members house when cops came and arrested him. My dad saw where he had put his stash and went back later and took it. This was the most memorable of ALOT of different situations, but my mother stood her ground and was very good at diffusing situations & shielding me from a lot of it. She did however tell me once that they broke up because he chose drugs over us.
That comment has always stuck with me.
Dad got a girlfriend when I was maybe like 11ish, she was a cunt of a woman and I didn’t have much to do with him until I had my first kid. Now we have a distant but okay relationship. love my dad, he was never ready to be a parent, but now I’m older I forgive his mistakes. Especially now that I am going through addiction, I understand he didn’t choose drugs over me.. he was sick. He has always loved me, but I realised this too late. I had already gotten myself into the life I’m in before I understood.
Okay so, main point.
I’ve been in a relationship since I was 13. I’m now 28. 15 years. I’ve known for awhile now & so has he, that we are absolutely debilitatingly co dependent on eachother, but it is so toxic and emotionally draining.
Over the years I have completely lost any sense of boundaries I once had. The walls I had for my own protection have been shattered & he knows it.
I get cheated on atleast once a month. It’s (from what I’m aware) not gone past online cheating, but that doesn’t actually matter. It’s still cheating.
We had a threesome 5 years ago, & since then he just does whatever he wants and knows I’ll forgive it.
He molests me in my sleep. We both have addiction problems. There is so much, I won’t get into it all but you can all probably put 2 and 2 together.
There is so much disrespect. It’s like we hate eachother, disrespect eachother, argue, come to our breaking point & then when we are there, it’s a huge explosion of emotions that make us both crave and love eachother.
It’s so fucked.
& now, I have found myself getting sexually aroused by it. It’s making me feel mental. I’m just trying to understand what’s going on.
I have made the assumption that my brain is trying to take some form of power back? Idunno.
I just want to know I’m not alone.
Please don’t say, “you need to leave”
I know this already. I won’t. It’s too far gone. But just some stories from others, or insight is what I’m after.
Taylor fuck off
Taylor was the one who made fun of the rest of the women by trying to reduce their success to nothing by stating she’s the sole reason they are known.
Yes, Taylor helped them, she was the one everyone came to see.
But they have all put in the work to be who they are now, & her writing her egotistical bio was a passive aggressive slap in the face.
Whitney is a lot more successful than Taylor now, it’s a fact. So to try and diminish Whitney’s accomplishments along with the others, because she’s on a psychotic mental break, is absolutely a reason for them clap back and humble the woman who is CLEARLY narcissistic and needs to be put in her place & literally fuck off from the internet and go fix herself.
“It’s her job” says the cult
Fuck off,
some peoples jobs are being drug dealers. Should they just keep going instead of choosing a different life for their children?
This argument is so stupid. Actually listen to yourselves.
She should the phone down & get a different job that doesn’t fuck her children and herself up forever.
Taylor’s mother backtracking
Taylors mothers really on instagram spewing bullshit.
season 2 episode 2.
The mother invited Dakota to the family BBQ without Taylor's permission, Taylor said her parents want her to try everything before they give the relationship up. Liann tells Taylor to give Dakota grace and if she loves him, then the relationship is worth trying because she doesnt believe in failed relationships. The step father states that Taylor is pretty much a hoe/ what does she expect Dakota to treat her like cause she slept with him after meeting him 3 times. The brother in law is saying she needs to sacrifice stuff for Dakota. Ever is crying while Dakota and Taylor fight, the sister picks Ever up and removes the child from the situation. Aspin is the ONLY one telling Taylor she needs to leave Dakota and stay separated because of Ever and the tension that poor kid has to go through.
Now Liann is saying, previously to this BBQ, she witnessed abuse from Dakota to Taylor. HOW, if knew her child was being abused, could she sit there encouraging Taylor to stay with him! STOP MAKING EXCUSES! It's fucking bullshit! Taylor has always been the abuser. It’s so fucking obvious. It sickens me that people are still on her side
Huge missed opportunity
Season 4 was a filler season let’s be honest about that. It could have been 2 episodes.
There was a huge missed opportunity to use storywalking as a way to explore some of the characters backstories. We could’ve finally seen Miranda and Christopher before everything fell apart, watched their relationship unravel in real time, understood Victor’s childhood through more than fragmented memories, or even gone all the way back to the original townspeople without revealing the plot. Imagine if we got to see Boyd and his wife and the struggles in depth. Or Donna’s arrival and loss of her sister. Or Vicktor alone and how he survived.
Storywalking had the potential to turn the entire history of FROM into something we could experience alongside the characters. Instead, it felt like the show only scratched the surface of what could’ve been one of its most powerful storytelling tools.
If they want this show to be about the characters, they should have tried to make us more connected to them, because as of now, I couldn’t care less about most of them.
Rv pictures
These are the pictures on the RV in this current episode.
Pictured are -
Mom , Dad & Julie
Kristy and Marielle
Tom
I think possibly Randall ?
Donna
Father Katrhi
Sara & Nathan
Jade
Henry & Viktor
Boyd , Ellis & Fatima
There is also Kenny & his mom, I couldn’t get a picture of it as it was too fast out of frame.
Missing is noticeably Ethan, who isn’t with his parents and Julie at the RV.
He’s also drawn some people who have died like his dad, Tom, father katrhi, tian Chang & Nathan.
But he didn’t draw Abby (he didn’t ever meet Abby so that might be why) or Kenny’s dad.
Nor is there Elgin, Tilly, Acosta, Sophia or any other smaller role characters.
But it did stand out to me that Ethan is not drawn with his family. & only certain people are pictured.
Why would Tom and Nathan be drawn but not Elgin or Acosta ? Just seems a little strange
The townspeople are the true immortals. They are the monsters, they are the villains
Wild theory
What if the townspeople ARE the monsters, just they don’t realise ?
So the sacrifice was actually that the form of immortality comes with being reincarnated continuously, while their first forms were cursed into monsters & that’s why they kill/ torture the reincarnations, to try to get them to “ankooey”
Maybe the parents who sacrificed their kids were actually Tabitha and Jade / Boyd and Abby & Kenny’s parents (maybe some others I haven’t thought about)
But the fact in each pairing, the parents have had memories or dreams about being there.
-Tabithas obviously main storyline is that she’s been there.
-Abby said she had dreams about it.
-Kenny’s dad would have feelings when people felt off.
Maybe they are the ones keeping everyone in a loop, as they are the ones who chose immortality.
The other towns folk, didn’t want it. So they were cursed to forever live as monsters and watch their reincarnated “split” versions of themselves come back again and again.
This is why Fatima is so connected with Smiley. She is Smiley, but she doesn’t remember. And now in the next episode you see lines blur as she looks to be turning into her natural form.
The cycle is a loop because the exact ones who are “trying to get home”
Are the ones who continue the cycle and are actually keeping them there.
