Today I was thinking about Weird Al, and how even though he isn’t the only (or even the first) musician to make a career out of song parodies, he is without a doubt the most successful song parodist in the English-speaking world.
It’s not even just that he’s significantly more famous than others in the genre; if you were to survey a large group of strangers, I don’t think it’d be unrealistic to assume that he’s probably the only parodist most of them could name.
Has there been any other examples of this in music? Where someone from a niche genre becomes a household name, while their peers remain largely unknown to the general public?
Has anyone else seen this dude on IG pretending to be Al’s designer? lol
Hey, not sure if this is weird or not… I have these designs that I created earlier this year with the intention of making stickers, but it never happened.
I have too much going on at the moment to make and distribute them, but don’t want it to be something that just lives on my computer without being seen by anyone.
I thought maybe I’d put them on here, if anyone has interest in using the design? As long as people aren’t selling them, I’m more than okay with the design being used and spread around… I also have a few other color combos that I haven’t posted here.

I had a baby at the end of last year, and during those first few months I saved a few different book ideas in my notes app (especially during the high contrast days, where book options seemed pretty limited). There’s one idea I had that I think has potential to sell decently well, and I think now that I’m having more time to focus on fun projects I want to try it out.
Has anyone on here sold board books? If so, have you done pretty well? And where did you get the books ordered through, assuming you didn’t make them yourself?
I’ve dabbled in DIY bookbinding in the past, but there’s no world where I’m able to dedicate the time and space in my house to something like that at the moment.

Got invited to join 'Zach Lahn for Governor - Supporters Group' on facebook... not a huge fan of the guy, but I like to keep an open mind when it comes to this stuff and see how people view things beyond just what I see on my algorithm.
I left three comments: one about Zach being involved in political campaigns in the past, and two about the school he co-founded in Kansas. I've been curious about Zach's current involvement in this school, since it seems like he only ever mentions his family when discussing his reasons for visiting Kansas so frequently.
All of my comments were pretty respectful, I think... however, only the comment about his involvement in political campaigns stayed up, and my comments about school were 'declined' almost instantly... seems kinda sketchy, idk lol
