Vegan community dinner
Organized weekly at my local rainbow church. Exposing ppl to vegan food, normalizing it
All from scratch prep
Including pickled onions, I love picking things these days. Trying a new relationship out w someone who is trying to go vegan for me. Still kinda want to be around others who are on a level like me, but that means traveling to a neighboring city's activism group. I need to do it lol
[FNB4M] [26] [NC] Activist 4 Activist
Can you make me laugh? Can we get dirty outside together? Are you looking for something real? I care about my community. I am genderqueer and regular queer and I like to climb things and print zines. If you can't match my energy, DO NOT HMU. I date to marry and want to give birth. I carry chalk on me at all times. I like to hold hands. I am not interested in long-distance romance.
Good luck out there. Thanks for being vegan.
I refuse to let them die!
Decided to try Shoe Goo and sewing to fix my sole separation!
Any jobs in plant-based kitchens?
Looking to transplant to NYC as an activist from NC and was wondering if anyone could help me touchdown.
Wondering about NYC
There's bounddddd to be some of us in NYC. It's a giant place and I want to know what it's like to live there as a car dweller? Is it possible? Is it more practical to live on the street in a massive city w more resources & indoor spaces? Would you recommend moving into a bigger city with a van, or stay in the smaller cities?
I'm looking to make better connections with people closer to my age and do more cool stuff in groups with more people, and I feel like NYC might be the place to go for climate and animal activism.
I put thrifted fountain pen ink in my eco tank printer and no body got hurt
Reading Liberate, by Peter Young: a vegan former fugitive who released thousands of animals from factory farms.
Educationgooning and inspirationedging. Copy of this book was gifted to me by an activist friend and reading it was encouraged by a second one. Alf says that it's best to act alone than to not act at all. Wrecking the poser in my own mind.
advice about cutting!!
Hey so for reference I am 5'4", female, and have been ~150 pounds for a few years. I want to get leannnn so I'm going on a deficit. All the calorie counters suggest that I need over 2k calories to maintain my weight (I'm a cyclist and a dancer and work up a sweat pretty much at least once a day, often several times). 2k just seems like a lot tho. I feel like I have a lot of fat and I want to see how low I can cut it BUT I don't want to lose any of my muscle if possible.
So I figure I am eating a lot of greens and focusing on proteins, not gonna cut out fats and carbs entirely just gonna shoot for 900-1.2k cals a day.
Advice? I can provide more info if it helps. I want this to last and be sustainable, and I find that pretty often when I see progress I feel good, then usually gain fat again. I don't mind being heavier if it is MUSCLE, which I know I do have a lot of. So I want to see it and cut down my body fat as low as it can go. How do??
Thanks for helping me with what is likely a n00b question 💙💙💙💙
