I know that I still have some stuff to work on but I wanted to push out one more release before I pause. I'll continue working on this emulator but at the moment I have to focus on a work. Please continue to send feedback here and on itch.io .
I always wanted to play these games straight from my phone, and now, I can.
I've been building a Game & Watch emulator for Android and it's finally solid enough to share.
It runs the original chip code from the real handhelds (MAME's Sharp SM5xx cores), so the games play exactly like the units did — not a redraw. Single-screen classics and the hinged dual-screen "Multi Screen" models both work.
Pics are a few of them running: Donkey Kong and Bomb Sweeper (dual-screen), Black Jack, Fire Attack, and the one I'm weirdly proud of — Konami's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
What it does:
36 titles — the full Game & Watch lineup (Silver, Gold, Wide / New Wide, Multi Screen) plus TMNT
Touch controls laid out per game, or plug in a gamepad
Portrait or landscape, resizable screen, save states
No ads, no tracking, fully offline
Why it's free to share: it ships with zero ROMs or artwork. You bring your own legally-obtained files (from hardware you own / a MAME set) — tap "+ Add Games", point it at a folder, and it recognizes them by content. So it's just the emulator, nothing copyrighted.
Sideloaded APK (not on Play). Not affiliated with Nintendo or Konami. Cores are MAME / BSD-3-Clause; the rest I wrote myself.

Would genuinely love feedback — control layouts, which games to polish next, whatever. Cheers 👇
This includes some fixed bugs from previous releases. Also it includes all vertical multi-screen games. Don't forget to add your own backgrounds and roms. They are not included. I will be writing a how-to later this week. Also feedback is very much apreciated.
LCD.emu has been updated to play 1 more game. It's a multiscreen game. Things to note: before you complain, make sure you mess with the settings so that it works well for your device. Also name the background rom's_name1.png (top screen) and rom's_name2.png (bottom screen). Place them along with the rom in the same folder. Link in the comments.
I made a free Android emulator for the original 1980 LCD handhelds
Little side project — an emulator for those first silver-cased single-game LCD handhelds (Ball, Fire, Vermin, etc.). It runs the real microcontroller code, so they play exactly like the originals, with touch controls or a gamepad.
It ships with no ROMs — you add your own files. Totally free, no ads, no accounts.
Would love feedback from people who remember these. Link in a comment.

I've been trying to nail this down perfectly. Any suggestions?
Should I keep them like this or change it out? Suggestions
Enjoying game and watch games on my android.
