Got four 43X 15 rounders from mag shack, all worked flawlessly. Not a hoe showing my legs but it’s honest work.

I feel bad for y’all that are having issues with your OEM 15 round mags, put a couple hundred rounds through mine (in total) and not a single issue, worked as expected.

Hope everyone had a good fourth and happy 250 America! 🇺🇸 💥

I know times are tough, but DAYUM. $150 mark up when it can easily be ordered online for the MSRP is wild. Hard to support LGS when the big box stores have almost everything cheaper.

I would prefer to support local gun shops over the big box stores when I can, hence why I was there, but wtf lol might as well buy a trijicon.

I’ve knowingly paid more for a firearm just to support local shops, not by much, but damn this is insane work lol caught me off guard. Had to do a double take

Although I know weapon mounted lights are virtually useless in the sense of needing illumination in a DGU, I do like the added weight combined with the radian ramjet on the G43X.

The little bit of extra weight on the front of the gun helps reduce recoil just that much more.

Not a significant difference, but enough to notice a difference in felt recoil. 1,300 rounds through the ramjet encounting with no failures whatsoever.

And yes, I have a nice callus where I would get slide bite all the time before I started adding backstraps to all my Glocks lol. Glock is a part of me now. 🥲

And yes, WML are virtually useless for everyday carry. Can’t argue with the facts lol but I still use them sometimes 😂

2 questions for those that own a Stealth Arms Platypus

Has anyone added this to their CCW permit after doing DROS as single shot exemption, and if you have, what county?

And does anyone make IWB holsters for this thing?

I guess that’s technically 3 questions, but I ain’t good at math

Thanks!

Alright….first time concealing a full size 17 round grip after years of compacts and slimlines. Tenicor is the way

Converted my Echelon 4.0C to the 4.0FC. Not as bad as I thought it would be to conceal a full size grip. I do also wear XL shirts so that helps.

But I will say, I’ll probably stick with compacts and slimlines most the time 😂 especially since I’m in CA and I don’t get the benefit of using a 17 round mag. At least according to the state. 😏

With a Tenicor Zero belt and the Certum Lux 4. Great holster, love the tactile click you get with this holster. I know we glaze Tenicor a lot but damn they make some damn good holsters!

Remember kids, George Washington once said, “Free men don’t ask permission, and stay strapped or get clapped boi.”

18 times. Are we in danger of forever being stuck with 10 rounds in our mags?

Are we gonna have to “destroy” our freedom week mags?

At this point, I don’t even know what to think. Fingers crossed the Supreme Court picks up Duncan v Bonta but it’s gettin scary fam.

Anyway, EDC for the day. What could hold 13+1, is only 10+1 for another day 🥲

On another note, the Shield X is legit. Love this gun almost as much as I love driving in my wife’s car with the pink steering wheel 😎 don’t be a gray man

SoCal carry. Personally I think it’s a simple EDC, but maybe not to some.

Well list is:

Springfield Echelon 4.0C w/Holosun 407C-X3 and lizard skins baseball bat grip tape, loaded with Federal HST 124gr standard pressure.

Tier 1 Concealed Xiphos Elite holster w/Mastermind Tactics pillow for appendix carry.

Apple Watch Ultra 3.

Nitecore EDC27 handheld light

Emerson Mini CQC-15

Neomag Clip for spare mag, which sometimes I opt out of carrying if I don’t want my pockets as full lol.

Wallet w/CA CCW permit (which you must have on your person or you’re treated the same as someone unlawfully carrying 🙄)

Not pictured is iPhone 17 pro max and keys.

I feel like this is a simple EDC, but I know some people will say this is too much for the pockets. I’m honestly use to carrying all this in my pockets, been doing it for years. Feels weird when I’m missing something tbh. I even stopped carrying a couple things like OC spray and a tourniquet. Have an IFAK in the car but it stays there.

I don’t carry around shoulder bags or anything tho so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Loving the new 407C X3. Forward facing light sensor works much better for auto brightness

Use to have the 407C X2 and the auto brightness was all over the place. This new forward facing is great. Love it!

Today’s Blammer. As George Washington once said, stay strapped or get clapped

Echelon 4.0C with a Tier 1 Concealed holster, Tenicor Zero belt. Lovin this set up.

Tier 1 having a sale this weekend btw for those looking for a new holster, 15% off.

Echelon 4.0c. Small grip too skinny, medium grip doesn’t have enough beaver tail. Solution: slap some baseball bat grip to thicken up the small grip, feels great!

Using baseball bat grip tape has become my favorite way to thicken up any grip that needs it while also providing additional actual grip.

Feels so good in the hands 🤤

Did I make it in time for the party

I hereby submit my glock to be judged by the panel of superior glock owner Redditors.

But anyway, love this EDC. I love it so good

G43X w/Ramjet combo is loud. Pair it with Underwood Xtreme Defenders 68gr+P? Pfff who needs to hear anyway

But damn do I love this thing! These Underwood XD rounds shoot so flat. Follow up shots are a breeze. But man are they loud with the ramjet. Noticeably louder even with earpro on lol. And louder than traditional hollow point +P rounds.

They’re also noticeably lighter as well. Probably won’t matter to most people 🤷🏻‍♂️ as the great Paul Harrell would say, “not enough difference to make a difference”.

Stay strapped y’all 🤙🏼

M&P Shield X has taken over as my main EDC, great carry gun for a great price. Can’t complain

Loving it! Over 500 rounds downrange and it’s been great.

Shield Plus was great but I couldn’t help myself with the Shield X and I have no regrets lol.

Something about the Shield grip angle and the way they point, just pairs great with their hi-vis iron sights. No dots for these ones. Shield Plus gonna see more time in the safe.

One small thing, grip does feel just a tad too skinny. Hence the bat grip lol honestly it’s fine without the grip tape but just feels a little better

Hot take (maybe), but I hear and read the phrase “Carry the biggest gun you can comfortably conceal” a lot…I disagree

The only thing these super special operator navy seal team 6 tacticool guntubers really should be saying, is carry the gun you’ll train and shoot with. Sometimes yea, that ends up being a G34, which is great. Other times, it ain’t. I can comfortably conceal my G19 with a 17 round mag and a spare in a sidecar holster…but my Shield X is just that much more comfortable to carry lol maybe it’s a hot take, I don’t even know, but oh well 🤷🏻‍♂️

While I know there is a benefit to having all these guntuber videos out there and there’s definitely a benefit to hearing different training methods, don’t get lost in it all. Guntubers (not all) be making it seem like we all gotta be the next John Wick to survive in the wild.

But I digress. Anyway, Shield X essentially took over as my edc, use to be the Shield Plus. But the M&P Shield lineup is probably the softest shooting of the slimline guns I’ve felt. Also, great hi-vis iron sights. Took my dot off, gonna keep this one with irons. 550 rounds through it so far without any failures.

Only thing I slightly didn’t like was the grip being a little too skinny. Added some baseball bat grip just to fill it out a tad, sort of like a palm swell, and it feels great. Makes a bigger difference than you think it would.

Anyway, get out there and carry! 🤙🏼

We’re so back lol I’ve always loved this gun.

I mean, it helps when you’re in a mag ban state (CA) and can only carry 10 rounds anyway. At least, that’s what the state thinks 😉

u/cobblernobbler — 2 months ago

575 rounds through the gun with dot installed without issue so far. Got the osight on their release sale and it’s honestly a great dot for the price.
