Like, I have Fratt as my user flair and they're already toxic af, Fiskmatt is some steps up, but hey ten years ago I was on the hydra trash party community on tumblr so it's nothing new that this type of stuff draws me haha. Also, since in spider gwen's universe Matt is a villain they could also be a delight as a villain couple

So, I saw that many people hated the inclusion of Starlord because they consider him a wasted slot that should have been filled by some X-character or a Spider-Man adjacent character. I understand that from many people's point of view, Marvel is "shoehorning" him and the rest of the GOTG into their properties, and I don't think it's wrong for those people to want the "real Marvel" back, but the thing is, I like the "fake Marvel" too.

In the comics, the Guardians were disassembled over two years ago and there's no indication they'll be returning anytime soon. In animations, the only one still appearing is Rocket, because yk cute mascot. In other games, the situation isn't very encouraging either, Mystic Mayhem was shut down before any Guardian besides Angela was introduced. In Rivals, the only Guardian added after launch was Angela, and although the base roster had a good number of Guardians, it's quite likely that this was already set before Marvel moved on from the GOTG brand. Heavens, even Starlord is probably only in Tokon because the game has been in development for a long time and it would be a waste to simply thrown him off.

Starlord is one of my favorite Marvel characters, and finally seeing him adapted into a popular game where his elemental guns actually fire elements instead of just bullets or lasers (shame on you, Rivals) I couldn't be happier. Like, we already have four X-Characters and two Spider-Man Adjacent Characters and we'll probably get one of each in Doom's team, not to mention the DLCs that will certainly add more to both groups. Only one single Guardian isn't bloat, if it wasn't for him, the GOTG representation in Tokon would be restricted to just lobby pets, since, as I said before, Marvel doesn't seem interested in the GOTG brand so a DLC focused on them isn't really guaranted.

I know the Guardians were only promoted because Marvel didn't own the rights to some of its most famous characters, but they deserved to have their place secured within the franchise even after that. Maybe I'm being pessimistic and the future actually holds great things for them.

So there's a lot of discussion about she not being used in X-men stories bc she's to powerful and X-comics being about underdogs trying to survive and yada yada. well, I won't be discussing this since a lot of people already tacked the problem directly, and my aproach will be more lateral.

They had the same issue with Storm and the solution was "lend" her to heroes office so she could join the avengers for some time, so her powers could be more well used against the cosmic level threats the avengers face. I gotta say, Imo Jean would've been a better addition to the team than Ororo, since her power set, specially her telepathy skills could add more to the team, but in the end Ororo did great on being an avenger.

Maybe the GOTG? well, the team was disassembled two years ago, and unfortunaley marvel doens't seen to have any plans for them in or outside the comics, but hey, Jean can be exactly what they need.

Now, here comes my actual idea: a whole new formation of the Starjammers. It's been like 10 years(?) since the Starjammers appeared, and they are basically the space team of the X-office, Jean was having some space adventures. For the line up I imagine it being a totally new team(like the 2008 gotg) so it would be a good oportunity to showcase underutilized X-characters alongside her and the leader.

at some point she'd be back to earth with the X-men obviously.

So, I'm happy that we're finally getting more unmasked skins, I'm buying all his skins bc i don't want to get through a skin drought. But something that bothers me a little is that he's blond in all skins except GOTG vol3(which is the only skin I truly like), I don't mind It in comics accurate skins like Spartax king and Master of Sun, but I wish in his originals they gave him brown hair and also gave him a beard more often. I made these edits, but it looks like my only hope of getting a non-blond skin for him is if they add more MCU skins.
