I saw an article a little while back that Danny DeVito wants to adapt the 1899 Frank Norris novel McTeague so I decided to read it. Now I’m thinking we need none other than Sam T to star as McTeague the dimwit dentist himself. 50% of the book is just describing how large of a man he is. All the descriptors used to describe his large hands, feet, and gigantic bones felt very Chubby B coded. Has anyone else read this book?

I’m 38, male, and have lived here a couple months. I lived here before a few years ago but have since quit drinking and using cannabis so most the people I knew then usually just go to bars which I’m not very interested in anymore.

I love movies and am hoping to find someone to go to the theater with more often. I am without a car until my house out of state sells and my wife moves here as well with the car. So I’d be down to buy the movie tickets or some lunch for a ride to and from the theater. The one friend I hang out with pretty much describes every movie as “terrible” regardless of what it is so it would be nice to have someone to have an actual discussion with.

I’m honestly down to see pretty much anything, always open to seeing what someone else wants to see. I love horror but will watch anything. Male or female friends are fine by me.

I’ve been on the Patreon ever since I started listening so I’ve never paid any attention to the free feed (I have stairs). I would like to share the Runza episode with friends in Nebraska but don’t see it in the free feed. Does anyone know when it will be released? Thanks.
