I recently frest installed arch (mannual), only ly display manager, bluez, hyprland running taking 1.21gb ram
While I saw other peoples setup idle on 1gb on a full setup, using quickshell
I haven't even setup waybar or anything and taking 1.21gb
Specs
Ram: 16gb ddr5
Cpu: intel 12400f
GPU: nvidia 4060 ti 8gb
Edit: I do know it's fine, linux cache the memory,
I wanted to know why those people with heavy setups, using quickshell or a full DE shows their system is taking only 900mb or 1gb of ram
I updated my cachyos yesterday after a month as well as aur packages, i restarted and it worked fine
Now today when i turned on my pc, got the bootloader error
Then i restarted and finally logged in,
Then my system got freezed then i restarted again
And this time my hyprland wallpaper changed and everything become so slow, even my terminal taking 5 seconds to load and everything become slow
So i just went back to the snapshot before the update with lts kernal
And now system is working fine
I was in rain but this phone has ip67,
So I didn't bother to protect it,
Everything else is working fine
Only the display turned like this
What could have cause this?
I was in rain but Samsung A55 has ip67 so didn't bother to protect it,
Phone is working fine only display is tuned blue
Is it cuz of water?
Currently on cachyos
I want to switch to a distro that is stable (non rolling release), lightweight like debain, nvidia support, huge native repo collection, good for gaming and overall performance
Hardware information
GPU: nvidia 4060 ti 8gb
CPU: intel 12400f
Edit: a distro which provides barebone iso or atleast very very minimal
One and half months ago i switched to cachyos and i was a beginner at that point, so i just pressed next next next on cachyos installer with kde as it's default
I wanted a clean bloat free OS but my system is sooo bloated, lots of packages are installed that i don't need
There's two terminal in my system and i never installed them konsole and alacrity
And many more like I don't use shelly, I use terminal to install packages
So should I fresh install cachyos (would I get option to only install some required packages not everything)
Or should I just switch to arch with cachyos kernal
Edit: I don't use kde now, am on hyprland
Alright so am working on my project that needs an escrow system and international payments, so i found tazapay escrow the best for my use case for now, i will be using local tranfers only so the fee structure is like 0.8% to 2% i gues and they exchange at mid market rate i gues
I came back to antigravity after a month and am still getting the same server down due to traffic on all models
Am on cachyos with hyprland, I tried to use screen sharing and when I click on the window or full screen nothing happens,
I tried vesktop too that doesn't work either
I do have installed xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland package and other pipewire, wire plumber for audio streaming
