The Blacktron operative thinks there's too many white pieces on the rail car system - it was really messing with his vibe when he takes public transportation... (he doesn't want to be mistaken for a Blacktron II explorer... or a Blacktron 1.5 explorer, ...or *gasp* even worse, a Futuron astronaut! So, the base mechanic brought it into the shop. A couple of pieces swapped out for a nice neutral dark blue, and everybody's happy! The Futuron astronaut ran off with the old white pieces, she's sure she can use them somewhere!

The railcar system was designed in neutral colors so it could blend well with any Space sub-theme. This update makes it even more neutral, letting the individual astronauts' themes really take center stage! Check out the full build of my Lego Idea here!

What do you all do with the extra parts from Lego sets? For any given set, I usually try to put them all together to see if I can make a single thing with all the pieces (rarely works, lol). Ultimately I dump them all into a spare parts container. If there’s enough pieces in there eventually, I’ll try to make something out of them, like this guy. The computer tile on his chest is a cheat but I’m pretty sure everything else was spare parts! 😊

On a newly discovered world, a Futuron scientist is collecting samples of interesting new compounds while an M:Tron miner is digging for new raw materials! Amongst the flora, a juvenile alien watches them work... These intrepid explorers and their vehicles are part of my space-themed Lego Idea... check it out here 😎

The rover in my Lego Idea had to settle for some old-school gray 1x2 inverted roof tiles on the rear fins, because I didn't have any dark blue ones in my collection when I originally built it. One PAB order later, and the base mechanic has fixed it up with a shiny new dark blue pieces! The M:Tron explorer thinks it looks pretty sweet! I put this video together to show the play functions of my Space Police Squad Car MOC. It features twin cockpits, twin hovercraft, two jail cells, and a crane for mounting and dismounting them!

Check out this video demonstrating the momentum-powered pilot transfer from high speed rail to rover on my Space Frontier Outpost Lego Idea! A crane then lifts the pilot's storage container from the rail system to the rover. It's my homage to Classic Space! Super psyched with how this turned out. Against all odds, I was able to submit a Lego Ideas submission featuring our beloved M:Tron and its discontinued neon green pieces! I really wrestled with submitting a version of MTron with either the newer trans green, or clear, or no accent trans color, but I just couldn't do it lol. Well, it made it to the Published stage! This build features not just MTron but also Space Police, Blacktron, Futuron, and Classic Space, plus four vehicles and a roller coaster transport system. A Blacktron spy has infiltrated a Lego Ideas submission! A sub-theme neutral outpost has invited astronauts from around the galaxy to explore a new world. M:Tron and Futuron are already involved. I worked on submitting a MOC to the Lego Ideas platform and initially got rejected for poor image quality (I was using just an iPhone and some lights indoors). The rejection pushed me to use a proper SLR camera, and take the photos outdoors with natural light for minimal shadows and a makeshift white box for a neutral background. (It looks like indoor photography, but it really is outside!) I was pretty psyched about the results, and when I resubmitted my idea, it got accepted to the platform! What if all the Classic Space sub-themes could get along for the sake of exploration and discovery? That was my concept for this Lego Ideas submission. Imagine a Classic Space astronaut that started a colony and invited explorers from across the galaxy... Futuron, Blacktron, Space Police, and M:Tron astronauts showed up! For all you Lego Spaceship enjoyers - check out this feature of my MOC I just submitted to Lego Ideas! It's a universal ship that can carry sub-theme specific pilot pods and containers. When you remove the container, the ship can convert into a supersonic space dart! This example shows a Space Police guy! Hi all, after months of development, I'm sooo excited to share my Lego Ideas submission, Space Frontier Outpost! It's a love letter to Lego Space from 1980-1992. It's packed with play features and has elements of Classic Space, Futuron, Blacktron, Space Police, and M:Tron! The astronauts have themed universal pilot pods and storage containers that interact with four neutral-colored vehicles that take on the theme of the pilot. The rail system ejects the pilot onto a ground vehicle and a lever then deploys the vehicle. there's a working crane too! I submitted a Lego Idea, and it has a play function that was critical for me to show in a video. I added a link to a YouTube video in the description of my Idea, and it got rejected with the following info provided:

"Your submission includes links to external websites. We can only accept links to videos, but they need to be uploaded directly to the LEGO® Ideas website.

It’s easy to upload a video to LEGO Ideas. To find out more, click here."

Spoiler alert, the link they provide actually doesn't help at all, with no info on adding video.

Furthermore, in the description editor, there is a video icon that looks like you can click it to add/embed a video, but when you click it, nothing happens.

Has anyone had success adding video to their Idea, and if so, how do you do it? Help! 😬
