I’m soon building a 6th order bandpass series box for two DDAudio 608f’s and i’m wondering how good cone damping / excursion control 6th order enclosures have? Is it safe to feed the subs with a few hundred more watts than rms?

I’m looking to build a new box for two DDAudio 608f and wondering how a 4th order box would perform since i have no experience with them or even with sealed boxes.

I really like that low 30hz boomy bass that you feel in your chest and makes your windows shake but do 4th orders do that?

I’m trying to get some perspective since ive never heard that kinda bass from 4th order/sealed box.

I currently have a DDAudio 608f paired with a SounDigital 1200.1 and it sounds decent. However, i’m now planning on buying one more 608f, buying a 3000.1 amp and building a good ported box but first i wanna make sure what other people think.

I like the lows around 30hz but also the higher kicks around 50hz that my current box has been heavily lacking. So the goal for the new setup is for it to be an SQL build so i thought that the box could be around 50L (~1.76CuFt) and tuned to around 34hz.

DDAudio themselves recommends 0.75 - 1.25 CuFt per sub so this would be in the middle since making it too big will just make them have less motor control and make the higher frequencies sound worse.

I’m fully aware that if i just want the loudest bass, i could easily buy a 12” and build a big box but i want more than just that. I want the in my sedan and a ”calculated” system. And of course i don’t wanna spend too much money.

So now i want to hear your opinions and experience if you have a similar system. Can two 8’s have the loudness that moves air out the windows and make you feel it in your chest?

I todays inspection i noticed rust holes that went through the rear subframe so now i have to buy a new one. Has anyone done this repair before, if so;
- Do all NG’s have the exact same rear subframe or is it different with year model?
- Would one from an opel fit?
- Where should i look for them?
- Are those cheaper aftermarket ones legit? They have the same part number and look identical

I have to get my car to pass inspection soon in July and i think my current summer tires wont pass. I have ordered new wheels which are a different size, but they arrive in august so i dont want to buy new tires that i will use just for this inspection. I have non-studded friction tires that i used in the winter and they are in good shape so will those pass?

They are atleast legal to use but then maybe the inspectors dont like it.. Has anyone done this?

Would you guys get 225/35/19 or 225/40/19 tires for 19x8.5 wheels? I want the 225 width but i'm not sure what profile looks better.

My 2003 Saab 9-3 1.8t has been getting the P0420 code for almost a year now. It runs completely fine but i want to get rid of the code and pass emission.

Should i try buying a can of cat-cleaner first or do they work at all?

I'm looking to get some wheels for my daily driver Saab and i've came across Alibaba wheels. What are your opinions? If you've done it yourself please let me know your experience with them.

Saab uses 5x110 which is very uncommon and with Alibaba manufacturers, it's often possible to have custom PCD.

There's always those annoying purists just saying "don't buy fakes, just spend thousands on the real deal" but i want some realistic answers from regular car enthusiasts.
