I Feel Helpless Here

For context, I (30F) moved in with a friend (50M) when my lease was up in order to pay cheaper rent but then I lost my job a couple of months ago and am now unemployed.

There’s some concerning behavior I don’t think I noticed when I first moved in because I was still working and wasn’t around enough to witness:

- yelling/screaming late at night or at random points during the day seemingly without cause
- slurred speech and heavy stuttering (this person doesn’t have a speech impediment as far as I’m aware) sometimes when conversing
-most concerningly, an episode in which this person grabbed cutlery and told me someone was telling them to hurt my pet, and another episode in which this person said they were being told to expose themselves to me

Oddly enough, he seems stable most of the time and is able to hold a job and maintain friendships from what I’ve seen.

It’s gotten to a point however, where if I hear certain triggers I lock myself and my pet in my room or take my pet outside for a bit to see if he calms down. I don’t understand what’s happening to him and don’t have any other place to move to, so while I’m concerned for him I’m also concerned for my safety and that of my pet.

TLDR: my roommate is extremely unwell and I’m scared, but I don’t have any funds or resources to leave

Any recommendations?

Best DC adjacent (MD) location??

I'm debating either the Takoma Park, MD, or the Downtown Silver Spring, MD, location- they're both exactly 3 miles from my place. Does anyone have a preference for one over the other?

Workouts with No Equipment

Hey yall, I’m in between jobs and thus can’t afford any gyms at the moment. I don’t have any equipment except for 2 lb dumbbells and wrist weights. Are there any teams that I can do with little to no equipment or should I stick to flex workouts?

A Vent and Maybe Goodbye?

Like a lot of girlies in the area, I got DOGE'd last year and still haven't found gainful employment since. I got a job in the service industry, but I'm not a cultural fit for my current restaurant, and it barely helps me stay afloat.

I've been debating whether to cut my losses and move back home to NYC (if anything, just for a reset so I can try to rebuild my credit), but I've lived in the DMV for 10 years, and leaving feels like giving up. But every day, I get so exhausted by the lack of flexibility in a service industry job, my lack of progress on the job-hunting front (every open position is like 20-30k less than what I was making pre-DOGE), and not being able to afford anything besides rent.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Otherwise, thanks for letting me rant 😞

Stuck in Bed Sick, Need Recommendations

I love Ouran High School Host Club, Buddy Daddies, Spy Family, and School Babysitters.

Anything feel good/cozy/funny to help these next 24 hours go by less dreadfully? Would prefer to be able to watch on Hulu or Crunchyroll

Thanks in advance!

can someone ELI5 why only the iPod classic can have up to 1TB of storage when modded?

I want to get a nano and a shuffle to complete my collection but they both have crappy memory in comparison to the classics I see. Any idea why?
