Fan clutch tool kit for 2000 4.3?
I need the pully holder and wrench for my Sonoma. Ideally under $30, very tight budget right now. What size do I need? Struggling to find the correct tools
80s vs 90s stereo
1983 Soundesign 5959 vs. 1993 Panasonic SG-HM22
Recording 8 track clock to cassette
8 track clock with line out into my Yorx R5285 with line in. It makes surprisingly nice recordings when played back on a fullsize stereo
'78 GE sunset tunes
Some softer songs on the ol Loudmouth II
8 track / Weatherband / TV Radio
Would have originally picked up TV broadcasts as well. Next time I go to the UP, I'll bring it with to see if it'll pick up any analog signals from Ontario
My Yorx stack (1978-1982)
Someday I'd like to retrofit the center unit to record 8 tracks because it has an excellent sounding aux. All 3 of them work and came from heavy smokers lol
Panasonic Toaster (1970)
New acquisition, love the pop up auto eject / loader. It currently doesn't record, but I have a hunch the switch just needs some encouragement. This thing weighs about 97 lbs and gets VERY loud lol. Not sure of the wattage but it makes great use of it.
Black - the Jesus & Mary Chain
Just a stripped back cover with vocals and bass
What are your favorite 8 tracks to play in the car?
This REO album, Best of Glen Campbell and some home mixtapes are my current favs.
The 8 track was a breeze to repair but every cassette deck I've worked on has the screws in maddeningly inconvenient places.
It doesn't help that Soundesign gives you like a millimeter or wiggle room to move the wires but it's a labor of love nonetheless. 😅
I can definitely see why technicians won't touch these all in one units lol
