I building Shopify apps - here are the 8 we’ve shipped and the exact problem each one solves

I build Shopify apps, and instead of one giant all-in-one suite I’ve shipped 8 focused apps, each one aimed at a specific headache we kept watching stores run into: conversion tracking going dark, COD parcels bouncing back, cash frozen in dead stock, GDPR admin, and money left on the table at checkout.

I won’t pretend this isn’t self-promotion, it is. But I tried to make it actually useful: below is an honest 2–3 line breakdown of what each app does and who it’s for, so you can skip the 7 that don’t apply to you and look at the 1 that might. Most have a free plan or a free trial, so you can test before paying a cent.

**Grow revenue / average order value**

**Bundle & Upsell Suite** \- [https://apps.shopify.com/bundle-upsell-suite\](https://apps.shopify.com/bundle-upsell-suite)
Product bundles, volume discounts, BOGO, cross-sells, add-ons (gift wrap, etc.) and cart upsells with a free-shipping progress bar. Discounts apply automatically at checkout and the widgets match your theme. Best for raising average order value without spending more on ads.

**Encore Post-Purchase Upsell** \- [https://apps.shopify.com/encore-upsell-post-purchase\](https://apps.shopify.com/encore-upsell-post-purchase)
One-click offers on the thank-you / order-status page, charged to the card the customer just used, no second checkout, no re-entering payment details. Includes countdown timers, A/B testing, downsells and post-purchase surveys. A low-risk way to add revenue after the sale is already locked in.

**Advanced Product Options** \- [https://apps.shopify.com/advanced-product-options-3\](https://apps.shopify.com/advanced-product-options-3)
Adds custom product options beyond Shopify’s variant limits: swatches, dropdowns, checkboxes, text fields, file uploads, conditional logic and per-option pricing. Perfect for personalized or made-to-order products (engraving, configurators, add-ons). Reusable option sets apply across many products at once.

**Kept Subscriptions** \- [https://apps.shopify.com/kept-subscriptions\](https://apps.shopify.com/kept-subscriptions)
Launch “subscribe & save” with a customizable widget, a self-service customer portal (skip / pause / swap / cancel), build-a-box and win-back campaigns. Built-in dunning automatically retries failed payments to cut involuntary churn. Good for turning one-time buyers into predictable recurring revenue.

**Protect margins & operations**

**COD Fraud Guard** \- [https://apps.shopify.com/cod-fraud-guard\](https://apps.shopify.com/cod-fraud-guard)
Scores every cash-on-delivery buyer using real delivered / returned / cancelled order data from a cross-store risk network, then hides or restricts COD at checkout for risky customers. Also validates phone numbers and addresses. Cuts refused and unclaimed parcels, a huge deal in COD-heavy markets.

**TrackWise Dead Stock Alert** \- [https://apps.shopify.com/dead-stock-alert\](https://apps.shopify.com/dead-stock-alert)
Flags slow, aging and dead inventory and shows you exactly how much cash is locked up in it. One-click clearance campaigns create the discounts for you, with margin-protected markdown suggestions and “do-not-reorder” flags. Great for freeing up working capital and cleaning up your catalog.

**Tracking & compliance**

**Pixel – Server-Side Tracking** \- [https://apps.shopify.com/track-wise-sst\](https://apps.shopify.com/track-wise-sst)
Sends conversion events to Meta, TikTok, Google and Pinterest through their server-side Conversions APIs instead of relying only on the browser pixel. Recovers conversions lost to ad blockers and iOS privacy changes and pushes event match quality above 90, so your ad platforms optimize on cleaner data. Roughly 5-minute, no-code setup.

**EU Shield GDPR Compliance** \- [https://apps.shopify.com/eu-shield-gdpr\](https://apps.shopify.com/eu-shield-gdpr)
Handles cookie consent (Google Consent Mode v2), GDPR/GPSR data requests and auto-generated legal pages (privacy policy, terms, cookie policy) in one app, with audit-ready, exportable consent logs. Good for any store selling into the EU that wants to stay compliant without hiring a lawyer.

That’s the whole lineup. Happy to answer any questions in the comments, and I’m genuinely open to feedback — if there’s a feature you wish existed or something that annoys you, tell me and it’ll probably end up on the roadmap. Thanks for reading.

Just launched our fifth app and this is our best app until now for all shopify users who use COD

I've been building Shopify apps for a while, this is my fifth, and honestly the first where I felt like I was fixing something people genuinely lose sleep (and margin) over.

If you sell cash-on-delivery, you know the story: a customer places a COD order, the parcel ships, and… they never pick it up. You eat the round-trip shipping, your stock is locked for a week, and there was no way to know beforehand that this person refuses half the parcels they order. In markets where COD is 60-70% of orders (Europe), this quietly destroys profitability.

So I built COD Fraud Guard. The idea is simple: score every COD customer from their real delivery history - delivered vs returned vs cancelled - and let the merchant act on it before shipping.

A few things I'm proud of:

It scores across stores. If a customer burned another shop using the app, you see it on their first order with you.
Rules run natively via Shopify Functions - hide/rename/reorder COD at checkout for risky buyers, no theme edits, zero checkout slowdown.
Tracking is automatic, pulled from Shopify fulfillment statuses - no courier API keys to wire up.
The dashboard leads with one number: money saved this month, every unit traceable to a specific order.
It's launching on the App Store now. I'm not here to hard-sell - I'd genuinely value feedback from other COD sellers and app devs: what signals do you actually trust to flag a risky order? What am I missing?

(Also happy to nerd out about building on Shopify Functions or surviving the protected-customer-data review, that part was a whole journey.)

Shipped my 4th Shopify app: bundles, volume discounts and cart upsells in one

I run a small Shopify store (phone skins, Romania) and this is the 4th app I’ve shipped to the App Store. This one came straight out of my own stack: I was paying one app for bundles, a second for cart upsells, and a third for gift wrapping. Three subscriptions, three widgets that looked like they came from three different websites.

So I built Bundle & Upsell Suite.

What it does:
• Fixed bundles, Mix & Match, BOGO, and quantity breaks (buy 2 save 10%, buy 3 save 15%)
• “Pair With” recommendations on the product page
• One-click cart upsells with a free shipping progress bar
• Add-ons like gift wrapping, with an optional message field
• Discounts apply automatically at checkout through Shopify

Functions - no discount codes, no theme scripts
• Widgets inherit your theme styling, can be styled per section with live preview, and get placed on product pages automatically
• Dashboard with attributed orders and revenue per offer, so you can kill the offers that don’t earn

$9.99/mo up to 1,000 attributed orders, $19.99/mo unlimited, 7-day trial. Admin is English-only right now.

It went live yesterday with zero reviews, which is the worst possible moment to ask anyone to trust it - so I’m here for feedback more than installs. If you run a store and something is missing or broken, tell me and I’ll ship the fix faster than the apps with 4,000 reviews will.
Link in the comments, or happy to DM it if the sub prefers.

I built a GDPR compliance app after realizing most EU Shopify stores are quietly non-compliant, just launched it

Just launched EU Shield - a Shopify app that handles EU compliance in one place: cookie consent with real script blocking (Consent Mode v2), an EU Withdraw button so customers can file their 14-day withdrawal requests right from your storefront (tracked in a dashboard, no email chaos), GDPR data request workflow, auto-generated legal pages, and GPSR safety info. Free plan available, paid from $9.99/mo. Built it because most EU stores I audited were running banners that don’t block anything and handling withdrawals by email. Feedback very welcome: https://apps.shopify.com/eu-shield-gdpr

Why is a server side tracking so important?

Been running ecom stores for a few years and kept noticing the same frustrating thing: my Shopify/GA4 numbers never matched what the ad platforms reported, and the gap kept getting wider. Turns out a big chunk of it was just tracking quietly breaking in the background.

If you’re still on pure client-side tracking (the usual pixel-in-the-browser setup), here’s what’s actually happening to your data:

•	Ad blockers nuke a good portion of your events before they ever fire. Depending on your audience, that can be 10–30%+ of traffic just… gone.
•	Safari’s ITP caps your cookies at 7 days (sometimes 24h), so returning visitors look like brand new ones and your attribution falls apart.
•	Every tracking script you load slows the page down, which hurts both UX and conversions.

Server-side tracking basically moves the data collection off the user’s browser and onto a server you control. That server cleans things up and forwards the events to GA4 / Meta / Google Ads etc.

What actually changed for me after switching:

•	Recovered a noticeable chunk of “lost” conversions the platforms finally had enough signal to optimize properly, and my CPA dropped.
•	Cookies last way longer when they’re set server-side, so attribution stopped being a mess.
•	Page got lighter and faster.
•	I have actual control over what data leaves my server, which made the GDPR side a lot less stressful.

It’s not magic though being honest about the downsides:

•	It’s more work to set up than slapping a pixel on your site. There’s a learning curve.
•	You’ll usually need some kind of server container (GTM server-side, or a hosted solution) which can cost money.
•	You can still misconfigure it and send garbage data, so test everything.

With third-party cookies on the way out, this stopped feeling optional to me. Happy to answer questions if anyone’s mid-setup.

TrackWise – a server-side tracking app that recovers lost Shopify conversions from ad blockers and iOS restrictions

What’s the app?
TrackWise is a privacy-first, server-side tracking platform built specifically for Shopify stores. It moves your conversion tracking from the browser to a server-side infrastructure, sending accurate data directly to your ad platforms via their native APIs.

Where can I find it?
🌐 https://track-wise.co

What problem are you solving?
Browser-based pixels are increasingly unreliable. Ad blockers, iOS privacy changes, and third-party cookie restrictions can silently wipe out a large portion of your conversion data — meaning your ad algorithms are optimizing on incomplete signals, your ROAS looks worse than it is, and you’re overpaying for results you can’t measure.

How does the app work?
TrackWise intercepts order and event data directly from Shopify and forwards it server-to-server to Meta (via CAPI), TikTok Events API, Google Ads, Pinterest, and more — bypassing the browser entirely. It uses a first-party domain and pixel to maximize match quality. Setup takes under 5 minutes with zero coding required, and you get a live event stream and logs to monitor everything in real time.

Who’s your target merchant?
Any Shopify store running paid ads on Meta, TikTok, Google, or Pinterest — especially stores that have noticed a drop in reported conversions since the iOS 14+ updates and are serious about data accuracy.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

•	Event Match Quality (EMQ) consistently above 90
•	First-party domain & pixel included (not just a relay)
•	Dead-simple 1-click Shopify integration — no GTM, no developers needed
•	Live event logs so you can actually see what’s firing and debug in real time
•	Covers all major ad platforms in one place

How much does it cost?

•	Starter – $29/month (up to 75,000 events/month)
•	Growth – $49/month (up to 500,000 events/month)
•	Pro – $99/month (up to 5,000,000 events/month)
•	All plans include a 7-day free trial

What are we looking for?
Merchants willing to test it and share feedback, media buyers who’ve struggled with tracking accuracy post-iOS, and potential affiliates or strategic partners. I’m the developer — happy to answer any questions or help with setup directly in the comments!
