Nichols & Stone Rocking Chair

I picked this up for $25 at Salvation Army yesterday. I am curious if anyone here knows anything about it as Google searches have only turned up dining chairs in this style (no rockers). From what I could find out, it is possibly from the 1915-1930 era.

Univox or Partscaster?

I saw this for sale in my region and haven’t been able to find another Univox like it online. It looks like it could be a partscaster because it looks too 80’s to be a Univox. However, the color scheme looks like it is really intentional as if it came that way from the factory. Anyone know what model this is if it is a Univox?

Cute Little Bird

I found this at a thrift store and don’t know a whole lot about it. I researched the artist Brian Nash and found that he had some notoriety before his passing in 2020 but I haven’t been able to find another painting this size (6” x 6”) shown anywhere online. I was wondering if anyone knew any more about this work and why smaller paintings by Nash are so scarce.

Book Club First Edition Hardcover Novel Trilogy

Someone had donated their collection of Sci-Fi novels to my local Goodwill. Nothing else really caught my eye but these.

I was able to remove the stubborn Goodwill stickers too!

A vintage radio that never was

I picked up these two pieces at a thrift store today. They appear to two parts of the same presentation board for the design of an antique radio cabinet. They are hand painted and lettered and the artists name and address is included on the back of one of the pieces. Based on the research I have done, the art supply company on the back was renamed to “F. Weber Co.” from “F. Weber & Co.” in 1919 so they would have to be made sometime after that year. Other than that, I couldn’t find an image of an antique radio that looked anything like this anywhere online so it is likely that it never made it into production. I’ve never seen anything like this in person or for sale in the wild so I am interested in anything that anyone might know about them.

This is “technically” a painting

I found this at my local thrift store today.

I found this at my local thrift store today. All I know is that it is a Panamanian (or maybe Colombian?) Mola and I am posting here to see if anyone knows anything about the subject matter and symbols used in the work.

I didn’t include a picture of the back because it is framed textile art and all it would show is the back of the frame.

Sealed Star Trek tapes for a quarter each at a local thrift store!

Nothing brings me back in time like holding a fully sealed tape in my hands.
