Ecobee owners, do you use the ecobee app or Apple home to set your automations?
I currently use the ecobee app and have only two other Ecobee sensors for room temps.
However, I have a bunch of Aqara temp sensors and instead of buying more EB sensors, I would like to use the Aqara and use Apple Home to set my automation’s instead of buying more EB’s.
What are the pros & cons?
I took my 2013 Explorer Sport (112k) to my usual local shop for power steering issues, and they suggested I get a deeper diagnosis from the dealer. So, I brought it in.
After a few hours, the dealer found the following “problems”:
- Front Pads and Rotors (OEM) - Replace
- Inspect and Test for Oil Leaks with Black Light
- Shocks or Struts, Rear - Replace Both
- Rack and Pinion - Replace
- Link, Stabilizer Bar (Front) - Replace
- Lower Control Arm and Bushing - Replace
- Alignment - 4 Wheel
Total: $7,093.19

After thinking about what to do next, I walked around the lot. I chatted with a salesman, and he knew I wasn’t interested, but I was a little curious. He showed me some new cars, but I also looked at some used ones, and this one really caught my eye. An hour later, I was driving home!

I do miss the 2013
I know OS27 is all the hype right now, but I’m extremely thrilled that it seems 26.5x seemed to fix my external drives from unmounting when my Mac would sleep or hibernate - at least on my end.
Has anyone noticed or still effected?
I have a 2013 Explorer Sport (3.5L-6, Ecoboost) with 111k miles. Battery 1yr old, tested and good condition. Starting this week, there seems to be an issue with power steering only on 1/4 turns both directions.
I brought to my local shop and no codes, etc came up on their end and suggested I take to dealer to have a deeper look than what they’re able to.
Before I schedule an appt, any idea what could be the issue? Suggestions?
We finally purchased our first robo vac (Roborock Qrevo S Pro) a few weeks ago and still dialing in on the settings but overall very happy.
However, if you see in the attached photo where the dividing line is between our living room and dining room from the mopping perimeter.
We do add a small amount of solution and there is no other mopping “marks” with any other rooms. Our floor is LVP.
Thought about just joining the two rooms but we like having them separate for individual room cleaning, etc.
I might try without mopping solution but any other ideas why it’s happening? Thanks
We put up Govee permanent outdoor lights at the front of our house, and we had a ton of extras. My wife had a funny idea to put them on our deck instead.
So, after thinking it over, I sketched out where the lights would go. I grabbed some mounting clips from Amazon, but when I put them on the outside, there was a lot of extra cable hanging over. I ended up using half-round cable channels and mounting them to the outside of the railing to keep the extra out of sight.
We’re really happy with how it turned out. What do you all think?
