just randomly noticed that this ooak creation reminded me an awful lot of pop starz jade… which is odd considering mga’s recent history of stealing from small artists and that pop starz jade was released five months after the tiktok was uploaded. wonder if the artist knows there’s a parallel to one of his creations manufactured by mga lol
never realized the wonders that a good head sculpt could do to a doll! not necessarily the best designed JR doll out there, but the twins sculpt really does elevate a look! so glad they scrapped the usage of OG head sculpt for this line lol

i had ordered two bratziez almost two months ago with ease, with an extimated delivery date from the first week of april through may 7th. must’ve taken the sign to cancel my order altogether the moment i realized that no updates were being made throughout the passing of that deadline, but y’know.. would’ve also been nice of them to stop taking orders the moment they realized they were completely short of stock!!! on the bright side of things, i actually ended up pulling the single bratziez that i wanted from a box that was bought off a rival retailer! so guess i didn’t really need amazon’s crappy boxes in the end 🤭.
Jk. but with the way those new dolls were executed… them delivering this type of quality again doesn’t seem too far-fetched. do we think they’re finally gonna surprise us with some good food? or are we just gonna be starving again…
mine’s gotta be the one from the mid 2010’s. not only were the dolls’ quality dropping dramatically but my fav form of barbie media was coming to an end (barbie life in the dreamhouse) 😔. guess it’s also pretty interesting to be reliving a barbie rebrand in real time again!!!!
a 20$ mga budget doll a few years back used to serve us full body articulation, inset eyes, sprayed faces, long kiwi nylon hair, well executed outfits & highly detailed accessories!!! and now… well, guess we could say they’re putting out cute concepts… 🥴 it’s genuinely so dishearting seeing the quality dip in real time 😔

the L.O.L. surprise rebrand is officially in motion as a music festival tot & what appears to be a yasmin tot have sneaked out of the L.O.L. factory! what are our first impressions of L.O.L.’s first big rebrand?! personally, i definitely feel like it was about time for mga to refresh the brand… as much as i have a soft spot for the OG tots, they just simply started to get boring & repetitive with each passing release!!! i mean, the OG head molds only do so much with their soulless doll eye…if i’m being quite honest, i’ve been hoping for this moment to happen ever since the introduction of the surprise swap tots! it was truly so refreshing to see various cutie patootie facial expressions on an L.O.L. doll since we had been conditioned to the traditional L.O.L. doll look, and i’m so glad that we’re sort of seeing that concept being brought back! hopefully this new look does well with its intended audience so it allows the brand to get even more experimental with its product!
