Help identifying bar/restaurant in West Allis in the 80's - 90's
Hello, I've been trying to identify a bar/restaurant that was around in the 80's and 90's in West Allis. I believe it was located on 62nd and National, just west of that crazy intersection where Greenfield, National and 62nd street cross.
What I do remember:
- The restaurant was on the south side of National Ave, east of 62nd street. (It could be further down National but I think it was just past 62nd)
- The restaurant had a parking lot in between it and the building to the west of it, which was some sort of Stool shop. They sold bar stools.
- The restaurant had a Friday family style fish fry. They'd bring big plates of haddock fish, bowls of fries, potato salad, and tartar sauce.
- It closed sometime in the 2000's I think. My guess is it's where Antigua is currently located (6207 W National). However I could be mistaken and it could be further west on National.
Does anyone remember the name of this place?
Edit > Found it, it was called The Chalet!
