Often when I boot up my Windows PC, bzfilelist.exe hangs the system, to the point where even opening Task Manager takes a long time. This happened on Win10 and now Win11.

I have a single 2TB NVME SSD (XPG Gammix S50 Lite), using 1.38TB of 1.86TB capacity.

The PX / backup is many years old (at least 5).

I only really do gaming and basic home office stuff (e.g. few spreadsheets, light web browsing, printing recipes, etc.).

Settings are as follows:

• Auto threading / throttle = false
• Manual throttle = faster backups
• max num of backup threads = 4 (AMD Ryzen 5600)
• Schedule = once per day at noon; end at = when done
• I have a number of exclusions (program data, program files, steamlibrary)
• File type exclusions are: wab~,vmc,vhd,vo1,vo2,vsv,vud,vmdk,vmsn,vmsd,hdd,vdi,vmwarevm,nvram,vmx,vmem,iso,dmg,sparseimage,sys,cab,exe,msi,dll,dl_,wim,ost,o,qtch,log,ithmb,vob,tmp

What can I do to get Backblaze to stop hanging my PC on bootup? It can take several minutes to resolve.

I have a UCG-Fiber gateway with a Hitron Coda56 modem. For wifi I use a U7-Lite. These are physically in New Jersey, using Xfinity cable internet.

Recently Google's geolocation service been wrongly reporting that "Warsaw, Poland" when I'm connecting through the UCG-Fiber. I've changed the IP address by temporarily altering the MAC address of the UCG-Fiber, but Google still thinks my wired-only PC and wireless laptop and phones are located in Poland.

I tried connecting my PC directly to the Modem (bypassing the UCG-Fiber). The PC received a new IP address, different from the UCG-Fiber, and the PC correctly geolocated as being in New Jersey. I'm verifying this by calling navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition() from chrome devtools (also same result in edge and firefox).

As soon as I reconnect the PC via the UCG-Fiber, the PC starts getting geolocated as Poland again. If I disable my ethernet adapter on the PC entirely, then geolocate, it immediately correctly identifies my PC as being in New Jersey (I have this set in Windows settings). If I turn the wifi off on the phones and use cellular data, they correctly identifies as being in New Jersey.

I don't use any VPN on most devices, except for one phone where I occasionally use AdGuard VPN. I had been using Cloudflare DNS on the UCG-Fiber. I've swapped it to 8.8.8.8 to see if that helps, but it doesn't appear to have made any difference.

I am truly at a loss here. Every time I open Google maps, or look at Google shopping search results, it displays Polish locations and prices.

I've already reported this to Google's IP address geolocation reporting portal, but even a new Xfinity IP address has the same exact problem.

Can anyone suggest what to try next? Is this somehow related to a feature on the UCG-Fiber that I can change?

Not sure if this is common knowledge but each of the paid/premium seasonal reliquaries has one item that's redeemable for free, without buying the reliquary.

Why did this happen? I've had to adjust it on various referral threads. I don't know how long it's been changed and I've been missing potential referrals.

Fortunately my points balance remained intact.

I have a single U7-lite AP upstairs, as a temporary setup until I can add one downstairs. It's connected to a UCG-Fiber.

It works great, except when I hit -75db signal (according to wifiman app on my phone), I get dropped. My phone will still show its connected, and shows 2 bars on the wifi icon, but connectivity will basically stop, web pages will hang, etc.

Is this just a fact that after -75db the connection simply cannot be maintained, or is this a setting I can adjust to keep working down to -80db or whatever?

I found a setting that looked promising in the wifi options, but when I tried to adjust it it said "Failed to save roaming assistant changes".
