I had a sale for $40 item in June. June 1 printed the label and it was at the post office drop off either the first or the second. The package never arrived and the tracking showed label printed.

The buyer asked for refund via ebay as did not arrive, so I gave a full refund.

I assumed it was lost some how. Now 1.5 months later I get a message from ebay saying carrier scanned and should arrive Thursday.

Am I out the money for this item or will I get the $40 back once it arrives?

I reached out to the buyer and asked they refuse it. I have not heard back.

I have a low cost item up ($1 bills @ 1.99 each free shipping if you buy 3). I do ebay for the fun not to make a living so i don't mind low end sales as long as I don't lose money.

I have been playing with the pricing and shipping it was 1.99 +shipping then 2.50 free shipping. I figured out the promotion shipping rules and now its free shipping when you buy 3 or more. I use the ebay standard envelope for the small orders

Earlier in the week i had a buyer with 6 feed back who was just recently active after a few years of inactive asking a ton of weird questions. I ended up blocking him.

Since then i have made 6 to 8 sales with buyers with 0 feed back or under 10. I had 1 that was a repeat customer so not worried about that guy.

I am wondering is this some sort of scam? Its not a lot of money to lose but still i don't want to lose anything if I don't have to.

If they claim dnr i can easily get the money back. I'm just wondering what is going on
