The only one I can find thats any decent is the TREX Arms Iron Side, but when I look for OWB holsters I prefer they have multiple screw hole options so you can adjust how high the holster rides. Other than the one from TREX arms, there are next to NO options for this thing for some reason, am I missing any? I'm really surprised I figured there would be many since the micro is so popular.
I'm not looking for the paddle kind of holsters that WeThePeople has, I'm looking for the belt loop ones if that makes sense
Out here almost shitting myself mid MPRE because I forgot to take lactase before having coffee on my way to the exam center. How did your guys MPRE go
Where was this in any PR class or MPRE prep course
This this is fairly new, I'm looking into getting it (i was stuck between this and the MPA defender). I would like a folding charging handle for it but since it is fairly new I have yet to see ANYONE put one on it. Are there any third party companies that have their on folding CH's that will fit in this? Thanks
FM paratrooper foldingCH? HB Industries MAT-9 folding CH? Anything else
Is this an out of battery discharge/detonation? I’ve noticed in videos I take this fireball from the chamber happens occasionally. I’ve never had any kind of damage or catastrophic failure the way I’ve seen in actual videos where the gun basically blows apart, it’s a little concerning either way. When I clean the BCG I ensure it’s properly put back together so if this is an OOB I don’t think it’s my BCG or firing pin. I also have an H3 buffer with loose titanium weights if that makes any kind of difference. Thanks!
Always out of stock... how often do they come back up? Also, how often are micro frames on sale? Debating if I should just buy the frame now on sale and hold on to it until I can get a slide for it when it's back in stock. Thanks!
How easy were older bar exams that were maybe from 20 to 30 years ago? I’ve heard from more than a few people (professors, older family, members, family friends, etc) who took the bar exam around that time that told me “don’t worry I only studied for two or three weeks and I passed no problem, you’ve been studying for months you’ll do just fine.” These people that I’m talking about are very smart, however, it seems impossible that they learned or reviewed so much material and passed in that little time, assuming that the bar exam was around the same kind of difficulty than that it is now. was it so much easier back then? Was there much less material back then? Or was it about the same, but these people are just very smart?
It's a little difficult to find this answer online but hopefully yall can help:
I have a Gforce Jawbone (hold your tomatoes) and I've been looking into upgrading the lower. The easiest thing to do is just buy a PSA PX9 or something right? However, I HATE HATE HATE glock mags in PCCs. It absolutely kills the look in my humble opinion. I love straight mag or curve mags for PCCs.
So I was wondering if I could buy a dedicated 9mm Colt lower or any lower that takes curved mags and just slap it on the upper? For reference, the Jawbone uses an FM9 upper.
Of course I understand that the lower has to have a buffer tube recoil system, thank you for any help yall can provide! Also, if its not possible or not worth doing what I'm asking for, I am willing to suck it up and just buy the PX9 so this isn't like life or death.
I cut a big chunk of my thumb and it was bleeding for like two hours straight so I went to the ER and they put a fat dressing on it. I can type no problem. It just hurts a little still, but I was wondering if this would pose any kind of issue being let into the exam room. I can’t imagine that they would be so harsh and strict about it that I wouldn’t be allowed in and the most I figured they would do is just inspected to make sure there’s nothing written. I have a doctors note just in case from the ER and several photos of the incident. I also called the board of examiners for my state and I emailed as well no response out of course because they’re probably very busy. Will this be an issue or am I good?
Just my luck though huh. Timing is crazy.
Thought I had it, then I did a targeted set of new questions solely consisting of hearsay. Why is there so many exceptions, plus there's so many exceptions within exceptions, the fact that a right vs wrong answer can also solely depend on whether the declarant is available or not, I can't remember it all at this point
I hate to ask because I know everyone is posting these, but I’m trying to get a realistic sense of where I stand for a 270+
On first time mixed MBE sets, I usually score in the low-to-mid 60s. When I redo older timed mixed sets, I usually get 70–80%, but I know those scores are inflated because I remember a few questions. I mainly use them to see whether I’ve improved in weaker subjects under timed mixed conditions
My MEEs usually average around a 4, with some higher and some lower. My MPTs are generally around a 4 too, but I have only done about five total, including the two on the simulated exam. On the Themis simulated exam a few weeks ago, I got 58.5% on the MBE, which was extremely discouraging
My fear is that, on exam day, I score only around 60–62% (potentially worst case scenario but also knowing myself could be more than likely) on the MBE and slightly under 4 on the written portion. Taking into account the progress I’ve made this past week in my weakest subjects, is that realistically enough for a 270, or am I still too close to the line?
Also, how does UBE scaling actually work? Is it comparable at all to a law-school curve? Can scaling ever lower scores, or does it only adjust them upward? How much should someone realistically rely on scaling rather than raw practice percentages?
We got this my friends, one and done so we never have to think about it again!
Potentially stupid question, but I have the 3d printed Kabuto drop in for my ar15, will any 3pos ambi safety work with it? Or should I just buy the metal one that supersafeco has on their site? I would prefer an ambi 3pos safety but I’ll stick to their normal one if necessary
I know the Brandenburg and Counterman standard and the two conditions necessary for something to go from protected speech to unprotected. But im getting mixed answers online when I look this up.
Assume for the sake of this hypo that the speaker is walking past some kind of LEO, is a reasonable distance from them so not up on the LEO’s face or anything, and simply says it casually and not in a loud or yelling way.
There’s no context like a nearby riot protest or anything of the kind that would lead someone to think the speaker was trying to incite a group to do anything violent.
ETA: counterman standard also because true threat more than incitement issue
Would this be protected speech?
Broke law school grad PCC build
-Gforce Jawbone 9mm
-Holosun ARO-CORE
-Toughsoul light/laser combo
Don’t mind the fuckass sling loop setup on the brace, it didn’t come with a QD point 😓🙏🏽
I had to flip the side charging handle so it’s pointed downwards otherwise the light would get in the way when racking it, otherwise the light on the top rail is pretty much the perfect size since I run this with my hand on the magwell basically
I’m happy with it everything except the optic is super cheap, I used to have a Cyelee optic that was more or less the same as this one except half the price
Edit: the optic is a Holosun ARO-CORE series 2, I wrote ARO EVO at first. ARO-CORE is also budget at around 170
I just finished a 200 question simulated MBE and I am confused about what to make of the results.
For the last month, I have done at least one practice set almost every day, usually between 50 and 85 questions. My pattern has been pretty consistent. My biggest weaknesses have usually been Property, Con Law, and Civ Pro. My better subjects have usually been Torts, Crim Law, Crim Pro, Contracts, and sometimes Evidence. Crim and torts, especially have generally been extremely good with scores of usually at least 80% in those subjects. My scores on the smaller practice sets are usually between 60 to 65 and last week Themis assigned100Q set which im using as a benchmark was 66%.
Last week for the 100 question set im using as a benchmark that basically confirmed that pattern:
Con Law was weak
Civ Pro was weak
Property was shaky
Torts was strong
Crim Law and Crim Pro were strong
Contracts was solid
Evidence was okay
But on this 200 question simulated MBE, everything flipped in a way that makes no fucking sense to me
My overall score was 117 out of 200, so 58.5 percent.
The combined subject breakdown was:
Crim Law and Crim Pro combined: 19 out of 28, 68 percent
Con Law: 20 out of 29, 69 percent
Civ Pro: 18 out of 27, 67 percent
Torts: 17 out of 29, 59 percent
Evidence: 15 out of 29, 52 percent
Property: 14 out of 29, 48 percent
Contracts: 14 out of 29, 48 percent
So my usual weak subjects, especially Con Law and Civ Pro, actually did a lot of the heavy lifting. Meanwhile, the subjects that usually carry me, especially Torts, Contracts, Evidence, and Crim Law, dropped hard.
That is what I do not understand. I could understand Property being bad because Property has been shaky. But Torts has consistently been one of my best subjects, usually around 80 percent or higher, and this time it dropped to 59 percent. Contracts also dropped badly even though it had been much stronger in prior sets.
Genuinely what the fuck do I make of this, Does it mean fatigue, question mix, endurance, or that my prior practice scores were misleading? I am trying to figure out whether this means I need to radically change my study plan or whether this is more of a volatility issue where weak subtopics got hit all at once.
Need help ASAP😓🙏🏽
I want to strongly emphasize that my strong and weak subjects has been repeatedly affirmed throughout the last month of practice set. Again torts and Crim are usually very, very strong and con law and civ are very very weak. But for some reason this time towards decided to take a dive face first into the kiddie pool. If I had just gotten the normal score on torts that I’ve seen before on every single practice set I would’ve been well above passing
I don’t want to be too detailed in case other people have yet to write the Themis essays
But goddamn, it felt like for a couple specific subjects they were testing a rule or chapter that I have never done a practice essay on in any of the other essays we have been assigned. Did anybody else feel this way?
Overall, I didn’t do bad at all. But I’ve been feeling safe on the MEE’s the last couple weeks because the essays we have been assigned are seemingly things that are more commonly tested both within the essay and MBE portions. This practice exam felt like a gut punch because of that (I had another phrase in mind to describe what physical attack on a different part of the body this felt like, but for propriety sake, the gut punch will have to do)
The attached image is my score from the 100 question Themis assessment last week (66% score). I keep scoring around 60–66% on most mixed sets, usually around or slightly above average, but I feel stuck and worried I’m not breaking into the safer 65–70 range. Most of my recent practice sets given by themis have been low to mid 60s, with Civ Pro and Con so bad, and sometimes Property dragging me down. Property used to be one of my strongest subjects in May earlier in prep but has been god awful lately. Evidence isn't great but has significantly improved. My biggest weaknesses are always Con and Civ. I've been doing sets of 15 Qbank questions for Civ and I always score higher than average, but I completely bomb them in large mixed sets.
I'm afraid that I won't pass simply because of those two subjects, and maybe some poor performance in property to top it off. I really need to break out of this 60-65 range I've been in since early June but can't seem to get it. I'm also seriously struggling with insane burnout and I can't really afford to take day long breaks. The good news is I'll finish my course by this Friday and have nothing assigned (except another 100 question assessment next week) until the exam. How can I best spend my time improving the weakest subjects? Doing them alone isn't making a difference in my mixed set scores because even when I do really well on civ pro sets for some reason that isn't showing in my mixed sets. I also have been writing a line or two for each question wrong and reviewing them but that also isn't making a difference. Should I just try relearning Civ and Con by rewatching the lectures? I'm not sure what to do anymore, please advise!
This might be a really dumb question, but why aren't there triangle style braces that can go over a buffer tube? Anything I find online is only for rear pic rails. I wanted something like this for my jawbone 9mm. Obviously since it has the buffer tube, without some kind of adapter it can't fold but I don't really care if it can fold or not. I just wanted this kind of look on it but I can't seem to find any kind of skeleton triangle brace or stock that can just like slide over a buffer tube
