Reliability of KTM 690 R? Previously owned KLR 650

The KTM 690 Enduro R and the Husqvarna version have been on my radar. I owned a KLR 650 1st Gen in the past and never had any breakdowns. I know the KTM does not have as good of a reliability reputation.

If a person purchases a new KTM, what kind of break downs can a person expect after a few or several years when the bike has 10, 20, 30, 40 thousand miles, ect?

How much does it cost to fix these issues if/when they come up?

Specific question about Gen 3 compared to previous generations

Is the Gen 3 KLR feel more stable on the road than the previous generations when going relatively fast? 55, 65, 75 mph, etc?

Question about ADV tires

I guess stock tires on the V-Strom and similar bikes are 90% on road and 10% off road.

How much better are 90% on and 10% off tires on wet roads, gravel roads and packed dirt roads compared to tires that are 100% on road?

Hidden fees in Karate

I took karate as a kid in the 90s. There were no contracts but I don't think my parents were told there were exam fees for belts/steps. For yellow belt 1 and 2, the testing fee was about $70 in todays dollars. For green belt 1 and 2, the testing fee was about $85 in todays dollars. That is where I stopped. For the next belt up, my guess is the testing fee would be about $105 in todays dollars. Oddly, I knew the black belt testing fee, which was about $725 in todays dollars

Testing was every 3 months and can not recall someone not passing.

Is not telling someone interesting in joining about testing fees considered unethical?

Is it considered unethical not telling a potential customer the testing fees go up for each belt unethical?

Hiring mechanic for pre-sale inspection: Question

If a person sees a used Sportster (evo, air-cooled) for sale and has a mechanic do a pre-sale inspection, what is the chance he will avoid one in bad or even less than good shape?

I took ITF Taekwondo when I was a adolescent, which was quite some time ago. I know many say traditional martial arts aren't as effective as MMA and are less than good for self defense.

I was thinking, perhaps traditional martial arts like Taekwondo, various karate styles, and Aikido/Aikijujutsu are very effective if a practitioner becomes very or extremely good at it. Could it be if a person is extremely good at the aforementioned arts he can beat a man 100lbs heavier than him on the streets? Defend himself against a knife wielding thug? Defend himself and put down 3 or 4 men trying to hurt him at the same time?

If I am not mistaken, the founder of ITF Taekwondo is General Choi. Towards the end of his life he moved to North Korea, aka DPRK. Why did he move there, knowing about human rights abuses, ridiculous laws, oppression, and starvation?

I think I took ITF Taekwondo as an adolescent back in the day. The gi was the traditional crossover jacket (not pullover). OTOH, the flags in the dojang were South Korean and U.S. The dojang owner was a bona fide master from Korea, though I'm not sure which Korea.
