So let me add to the classic 30+ meme where "dude puts on his console and just goes through his gaming library and then turns it off"

I grew up gaming since 1994. Started with both the SNES and megadrive.

My siblings and I had all the consoles to date (minus a few handheld that were skipped)

Gamings was a huge deal to me and my brother.

At 35 Im connected with 3 gaming friends in real life, we play light CoD or Gears of war time to time once a week worst case scenario.

Currently Im a heavy Rianbow 6 player. Thats all I have been playing dialy for 3 years.

The old me loved Nintendo, JRPGS, Action AAA games, cosy gaming and fighting games. I play all genre but sports

I keep upto date on Youtube, socials regarding gaming news and discuss gaming hardware with my friends daily in our group chat.

Having said all that... I stopped feeling it in my core since 2020.

I lost my job so was dealing with depression at the time and then the pandemic happened which added a timeskip in all our lives.

I remember seeing the PS5 and listing all the games to my friend that I was going to buy/play.

I had a list of 10+ games I showed interest in and yet to this day still didnt play them.

I dont want to. I dont care.

I enjoy watching others playthrough om youtube but I myself just dont care enough too install it and give it a go.

For betyer context, I purchased the PS5 and only played Elden Ring, Cyberpunk2077 and FF7 rebirth. Thats it. Yet back on my PS4 I owend and played over 120 games.

I dont understand if this is depression, if Ive outgrown gamimg or if the gaming industry is the problem for me?

All these games today look good but theyre all the same, so many soulslike games or samurai themed etc

I was so hyped for GTA6 and now...i couldnt csre less if I dont play it.

I'm trying to remember an anime from roughly 2000–2010.

Near the very end there's a final battle/confrontation with the whole main cast together.

During the fight (or immediately before the final phase), one of the female main characters suddenly dies or sacrifices herself.

I remember it being a complete "WTF just happened?!" moment because it came out of nowhere.

I distinctly remember thinking she was a permanent party member, and her death completely shocked me.

I originally thought it was Persona 3, but after rewatching the films, it definitely wasn't.

Does this ring a bell for anyone?
