If you could visit a country, what would it be?

Title's self-explanatory. For me, it would probably be Italy or Australia. Both are genuinely great countries, both have good living conditions (especially Australia), I even used to know some people from there and they're pretty nice too. I'd love to visit either of them one day.

My weirdest fear related to Steam.

What if, God forbid, Gabe Newell dies or retires and the new Steam management is the same as all the other companies? At that point, we're all cooked. In that case, what will we do?

Did anyone encounter this issue when they tried to launch CrossWorlds?

https://preview.redd.it/75ak8hm3jlah1.png?width=491&format=png&auto=webp&s=b9dd69f73f1f464156925afbce6e570a90f4741a

So, I downloaded the Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Demo and got this error telling me to download the drivers from Intel, but even after installing the driver and restarting my laptop, it still gives me this error. If I click yes, it takes me to Intel's website again, but if I click no, nothing happens. Either way, the game doesn't launch. How do I fix this?

FUCK AI FUCK AI FUCK AI

I am so tired of hearing about it. It is NOT the future. No one will get "left behind" if they don't adopt it. I am and will forever be 100% against LLMs AI-generated "art", writing, music and videos. Anyone who uses it is dead to me. Here is why:

  1. It steals from real people's hard work without compensating them in any way; this is just plagiarism with extra steps.

  2. They hallucinate a lot and will tell you an incorrect answer just as confidently as they will tell you a correct answer.

  3. It's being used in wars. The same AI you use to write emails is also being used to bomb schools in Iran.

  4. It affects the environment significantly.

What pains me more is that where I live (Egypt but applies to the Middle East in general), everyone here is pro-AI and it genuinely pains me. You will NOT catch me dead making an image or whatever using AI. I would rather learn to draw, write or edit videos or pay / commission a real human. I value human-made work over AI slop.

I only use ChatGPT (I would use Claude but I got banned from it for being under 18, and the other bots like DeepSeek and Copilot are just bad so GPT is my choice), but even that I'm contemplating deleting. I already deleted it once because it was an addiction and unfortunately, I relapsed.

However, I'm not against AI taking over manual labor or tasks that would be repetitive, but in its current state... I wish all AI companies bankruptcy and hell.

Does anyone have any advice? Thank you in advance.

How do I flash a Windows 10 / 11 USB on Linux?

I want to go back to Windows (pls don't judge). How do I do that? Thank you in advance.

Update: thanks to everyone for your help. Unfortunately, Ventoy didn't work (Windows gave me a BCD error and failed to boot in normal mode + it gave me a media driver error in wimboot mode) and WoeUSB-NG didn't even want to open for some reason. I ultimately resorted to downloading and using Rufus from another Windows PC.

Switching from PlayStation to PC

So I recently just sold my PS4 Pro so I can get a new laptop (my current one is putrid but the console hasn't been used for over a year). What exactly are the advantages of Steam / PC over PlayStation? I don't really keep up with gaming news / companies all that much.

How do I report bugs?

I found a weird bug with Fedora 44 KDE where after the initial setup, as soon as I'd click "Start using Fedora Linux", I would be sent back to the login screen and whenever I tried to log in, it would show a blank screen then send me back to the login screen. Initially I thought it was a PLM bug, but swapping to SDDM (which is still in the repos) from a TTY didn't fix it (so I went back to PLM eventually). Eventually I found the fix was doing restorecon -Rv /home/eyad which worked after a reboot. Anyway, I want to report this bug to the developers. How do I do so? Thank you in advance.

I feel cute wearing this

You see, this is a silly little invention I made: the tankdress. It's a tank top but pulled down to create the impression of a form-fitting dress. Good idea?

Weirdest struggle I have.

My English is very good from what I've been told by teachers, family, etc. and because of that, social media apps assume I'm American / European even though I'm Arab (Egyptian). That's the weirdest problem I have. Does anyone else relate?

My stance on AI.

AI-generated art, writing, code, music and videos are a HELL NO from me, and if I catch someone using them, they're dead to me. However, if they're family I'll instead just advise them not to use it (hasn't happened yet but I will do it if it happens). LLMs though... I only use them as a last resort or if it's a topic I don't want to look up or if Google's useless. Am I good or...?

Where does Dolphin put save files?

I want to back up my saves, yet I don't know where they are. I'm specifically asking about the Linux (Flatpak) version, NOT Windows.
