Dear AskWomenOver60,

I am a 25 year old man whose mother has suddenly started complaining of losing her taste. She hasn’t lost it completely, but she also lost her sense of smell due to covid. Me and my siblings were just wondering if we should be concerned for our mom having a serious issue.

We saw a doctor about her smell, but her taste is new. We appreciate any response we can get. Thank you :)

So in this game I was playing with my friends and one of them had a Godzilla King of Monsters (the Gruul one) out and told me he wouldn’t attack me if I didn’t remove his stuff from the board.

I said I would not. I did this knowing I had Pillory of the Sleepless in my hand. Dude ended up having a large amount of damage on board with multiple creatures power 4 or greater.

I then played Pillory of the Sleepless, and he did get upset (it never really matters outside of the game we don’t care after the game ends), but I told him I did not “remove” his commander. I simply made it so that it couldn’t attack or block, and he was in gruul which does have permanent and enchantment removal.

He said that I removed it from “functional play”, but he actually ended up casting a spell that gave a boost to all of his creatures’ power and roughness equal to Godzilla’s power. So really, I never really removed guns commander Godzilla, in my interpretation I just stopped it from attacking and blocking.

But now I feel really bad about it and want to know how shitty of a thing it was to do. I didn’t have much in my hand left besides actual removal in Stroke of Midnight, some lands, and Marauding Blight Priest.

Don’t feel afraid to lambast me in the comments, I appreciate honesty.

So I asked in the law school admissions subreddit and the consensus was that basically I don’t have much of a chance due to this low gpa. A large portion of it is due to time lost due to a herniated disc issue that required three different surgeries. I also did just not be the best student especially with one class this semester.

Even if I turned things around and got straight a’s to graduation, even if I score well on the lsat, is this goal to become a lawyer just something that is shut off to me?

I apologize if this isn’t very detailed or well written I’m just very stressed and sleep deprived at the moment worrying about this. I appreciate any help I receive here.
