Melanie’s twitter stans treating her like a personal Sim and not a real person

Melanie’s twitter stans treating her like a personal Sim and not a real person

Saying how she needs to “terrorize Sincere back” or hopes she doesn’t choose to leave him because she won’t make it to the finals if she does and there’s 100k on the line…

Do people hear themselves?? Better yet, DO PEOPLE SEE THAT GIRL?? Folks talm bout the FiNaLs when she’s not gonna make it to the finals in one piece if she keeps being terrorized by that demon lying ass man. If these people actually liked her like they say they do they would not value “winning” over her wellbeing.

I would prefer Sincere be shamed into self-evicting but I also would not be mad if Melanie decides to. In fact, for those of you who are concerned about her chances of “winning”
Melanie self-evicting would actually be the best move not just for her mental health but also her image, and socialite career. She’ll be remembered, admired and respected for choosing herself and leaving with dignity & that would make her following explode, much like Trinity’s did after the Casa recoupling.

That’s the real “win” to me. Remember that people who don’t win their season often win in other ways, even more than the actual winners.

Public's perception of KC vs. Sincere

I've seen a lot of people express confusion about why there seems to be a larger reaction to KC's shenanigans than Sincere's when Sincere technically has a longer rap sheet.

It’s actually very simple: Sincere is just a liar, but KC is both a liar and brazenly mean. KC shenanigans have been accompanied by belittling and tearing down Aniya whereas Sincere hasn't said a single mean thing about any of the women he’s screwed over in the process. It might not seem fair, but people are always going to react more viscerally & acutely to sneakiness when it's accompanied by outward cruelty.

I actually tend to dislike ppl like Sincere more because IRL they often can easily convince people their behavior didn't come from a place of malice & tend to face less harsh consequences for their actions as a result. Not as easy to argue when you've called someone a grandma for not sleeping with you, said you’re not happy for them, thrown things you've done for them in their face and indirectly admitted to using them to get by.

People are more likely to believe Sincere didn't mean any malice toward Melanie, Sol and Amora. He probably does like all 3 of them (and probably would have all 3 if he could) he just likes himself a little lot more. Meanwhile, KC's dislike for Aniya is palpable and a total turn off. I mean maybe he did initially like her, that is til he realized she wasn't gonna put out (sound familiar, ladies?)

TLDR: KC is unabashedly cruel in his speech, Sincere is unabashedly sneaky, and unabashed cruel speech will always garner a larger response.

Actually no, I said what I said. Parmida, Tierra, KC and Corbin cracking jokes after the recoupling was gross.

They may not have been laughing directly at Aniya but what the hell was there even to laugh and joke about? How do you see someone leave the area in tears (YES, they all saw) because of the outcome of the recoupling and find it in you to crack jokes about people “acting like they’re married after 2 days” (Which is ironic coming from Parmida who screeched at Corbin that she wants to be closed off literally the next day. How long have they known each other? 7 days? Right.)

I don’t remember anybody cracking jokes or laughing when the outcome of a Season 6 vote resulted in >!Andrea!< being eliminated and bawling her eyes out, and those girls did not even like her. Everyone sat there shook & looking sick to their stomachs because for normal people seeing someone cry is gut wrenching. And I’m not gonna let people who are unfamiliar with basic decency and empathy try to rewrite the scene or downplay that kind of behavior. I find these attempts to downplay, normalize, and validate casual cruelty & apathy so disgusting. If I was a casa girl seeing Aniya or anyone else cry would have zapped away any kind of humourous spirit I had in me.

Lol that laugh & awkward silence after…

KC couldn’t help but try to divert some attention from Aniya & Carl towards himself by cracking that “joke” but was met with silence lmao. So painfully unfunny…

An update to our For Us By Us rule

Our sub has exploded in growth since the beginning of the season, and posts from our sub go viral every night. As a result our sub is attracting a massive wave of non-Black users from across Reddit. With only four mods, tracking and removing every non-Black user has become nearly impossible, especially due to Reddit's enabling of anonymity.

In light of this, the mod team has decided to start a probationary period allowing non-Black users to participate, under strict conditions: they must center and respect Black opinions, respect this as a safe space for Black users, be willing to critically engage the topic of race, and never derail conversations or speak over Black users. Content that violates this will be removed and offenders will be banned immediately.

This change will be accompanied by a similar approach taken by r/blackpeopletwitter where certain posts (especially regarding race or Blackness pertaining to Love Island) will be restricted to verified Black community members. Verification details will be explained further below; please note that photo proof will not be the only option.

We understand this change may be disappointing, and humbly respect anyone's decision not to move forward with us. To those who choose to stay, please do trust that in light of these changes, this sub is still very much FOR US: it is a space that prioritizes the safety, comfort, and opinions of Black Love Island USA fans, and anyone who exposes themselves as being misaligned will be shown the door, permanently.

Please do not hesitate to message the mod team with any questions about this change.

How does one come back from such embarrassment?

Being rebuked by Megan thee Stallion on national television? Ouch. Trying to start a career as an influencer afterwards? Whew. Good luck😬

Tonight’s first look💔

Seeing/hearing Aniya cry was such a hard watch, I had to skip through those parts

Not that there’s anything wrong with her crying but it really just broke my heart to see/hear☹️😔💔
