Studio Pro license with audio interface purchase

I have the Fender Pro Plus subscription but will probably convert it to the lifetime version and not renew the Plus.

I am interested in buying the PreSonus Quantum ES 4 Interface. It comes with a license for Studio Pro. Since I already have a license, does this mean I will get a 2nd license, which I don't need? Can I sell it?

Also, is there any significance to the audio interface still having the PreSonus brand and not Fender? (the ES 4 is not shown on the Fender website interface sales page. ) Maybe no on-going support by Fender?

Magnet Strength of MagSafe Ring in Phone Case?

I have a new MagSafe case today for my new Galaxy Fold 8. This is my first experience with MagSafe so I am not sure what to expect. The case I got from Amazon (FNTCASE brand) claims it uses "38 N52 magnets with 2,400 gf magnetic attraction".

A PopSocket LowPro sticks on it very strongly. But when I place the bare case (just the back piece, without the phone in it and without the PopSocket) on the vertical surface of various steel surfaces like my toolbox, washing machine, etc., the attraction is very weak. I am sure that if the phone were in the case, the weight would make it slide down and fall to the floor.

Does this indicate that the magnets are weak? Or is that normal for MagSafe cases? My concern is that I've heard that weak magnets can affect wireless charging.

Wireless Chargers for MagSafe Case - MagSafe-Specific or Any?

I just got a new Galaxy Fold 8 (wide). I have a MagSafe case for it. I want a wireless charger.

Do I need one that is made for Magsafe -- i.e, the charging area has the size/diameter of the Magsafe ring? Or would any charging pad be OK, like a flat pad one, even if the charging surface area is larger?

Can you Rotate MagSafe Accessories in any orientation on the magnetic ring?

For MagSafe Grips/Kickstands for MagSafe cases: can you attach the grip/stand on the case's magnetic ring in any orientation; in any rotation you want?

The reason I ask is for models with kickstands that are fixed in position and don't rotate internally within the device, and you want it in another orientation, say 90 degrees rotated, I was wondering if you could just pull the device off the case, rotate it and put it back on.

But I heard that Magsafe accessories must attach in a certain orientation because of the polarity of the magnets. True?

Double-Sided Magnets on MagSafe Grips?

I want a MagSafe Grip/Kickstand to add to a MagSafe Case for an Android phone. Many of these grips are double-sided magnetic so they can stick to refrigerators, etc. as well as to the case.

My concern is that if I have it in my pocket that it will affect/attract other items in the pocket: coins, keys, magnetic strip credit cards, etc. Is this a legitimate concern?

LUBA 3 RTK Signal Strength = "None" With iNavi?

EDIT: Title should say Signal Quality, not Strength.

LUBA 3. This screenshot was taken while the LUBA was actively mowing. I am using iNavi, not the RTK antenna (which is not even mounted).

It shows RTK "Signal Quality" as "None" even though it says it is viewing over 60 satellites. Is this normal?

Mowing Progress on App Map?

My new LUBA 3 3000H, updated to the newest firmware, completed its first mowing today and managed to find and mow all the areas I had mapped. One curiosity though. I watched the map on the Android app (latest version) as the robot mowed an area. The area starts out green and as it mows a row, that row turns lighter green on the map. But when it turns and does the next row, the new row is lighter, but the previous row is back to the original green. The only light green area ever shown is the row currently being mowed.

In youtube videos I have seen for LUBA 3, a completed row remains lighter green, and more and more of the map turns light green until finally the whole area is light green, and mowing has been completed. It is easy to visually see on the map how much has been mowed and how much is left.

With the way it works on mine, the only indication of how much has been mowed is the percentage number that shows on the app screen. You can't tell visually by looking at the map.

Is there a setting for this? (I can't find one).

Dreame or Mova without GPS/RTK. Can I keep them in my garage?

Currently I have a new LUBA 3 3000H and am struggling so far (it's only Day 1) with the RTK/GPS. The problem is I want to keep it in my (car) garage and mow while I am at home to reduce theft-risk. Being in the garage results in the LUBA not getting a good GPS signal at the charging base . That is causing it not to want to leave to charging base to mow.

Would a mower like a Dreame or Mova that use LIDAR + Cameras, and have no RTK/GPS, work if I keep the charging base in my garage and just open the door and start mowing?

LUBA 3 AWD 3000H. Assembled and set up today. It's on the charging base, which is in my garage, about 6 feet from the door. I can't do any mapping or driving it around because it is raining, and is predicted to continue for 2 days.

The two screen shots show the signal status taken within 20 minutes of each other, both while on the charging base and with the overhead door open. First when I checked it, the "RTK Positioning Status" at the top was "Good" but when I checked it 20 minutes later it says "Float". And subsequent checks still show Float.

The firmware version is old if that makes a difference: 1.15.48.4429. I haven't updated because of problems reported with last firmware update.

How do you interpret the fact that the status changes from good to float within minutes? Does the fact that it is raining affect the GPS signal?

P.S. How do I add images to a post so they are not so huge like the two in this post?

Initial Mapping - Sequence of Steps?

New to robotic mowers. I will soon be doing the mapping of my yard. My understanding is that the proper sequence is:

  1. First map all areas. For example if there will be 4 areas/zones, map each of these.

  2. Then map "no-go" zones within those areas

  3. Then map channels. If the areas/zones touch each other or overlap, there's no need for a channel. The channels are for areas that have gaps between them, and for paths between the areas and the charging base.

Is that correct?

Is It Safe to Update Firmware of a New LUBA 3?

LUBA 3 3000H scheduled for delivery from Home Depot tomorrow. Depending on how long it has been sitting in a warehouse, the firmware could be several versions behind.

I keep hearing about a recent update causing new problems. For this particular model, are there known issues caused by the most recent update that would make it wise not to update?

Asking for Advice on Zones and Paths

My LUBA 3 3000H is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. A question about mapping and paths.

I plan to keep the charging base in the garage at the red X. The grass areas are only interrupted by the driveway. Otherwise the grass is continuous around the house.

I think I would need a path from the charging base to the first mowing area (marked with the yellow text). Then let it mow that part of the front yard, then the adjacent side yard, then the back yard, then go down the other side of the house, and finally do the last part of the front yard. Basically mowing in a circle around the house.

I know I need to make a path from the charging base to the first mowing area. When it finishes mowing the last area, it is already close to the charging base. The most direct route to return to the base would be to cross the driveway into the garage rather than going all the way back around the house to the original path.

I think I read that there can only be one path per zone. So would it be best to make that final mowing area its own zone and make a path from there to the charging base?

Try LUBA 3 Without Registering It?

Just ordered a LUBA 3 3000H from Home Depot. I want to keep it in my (car) garage. After much discussion in another thread, I realize that I may or may not be able to, depending on the strength of the GPS signal in the garage.

The first thing I want to do, after assembling and charging it, is test this aspect of it (while trying to keep it in as-new condition as possible in case of return). If it doesn't work as I want, I will return it to Home Depot and get the 1500H model that doesn't have GPS/N-RTK and (I hope) not have a problem with the garage.

My question is: can I test this garage/GPS issue out without registering the mower with Mammotion? If I create an account and register the mower, it would be bound to my account. If I return it, that could be a problem for a new owner if Home Depot resells it (which maybe they could do if I return it in like-new condition).

Depth of LUBA 3 3000H + Dock?

If I were to buy a LUBA 3 3000H and had to keep it outdoors, and wanted to find/build a small locking "garage" that encloses the mower and dock (for minimizing vulnerability to theft) can someone tell me how deep (front-to-back) the dock + mower is when it is docked?

I can find the mower's dimensions on the website, but not the dimensions of the dock+ mower while it is docked.

Manual Steering LUBA 3 from garage to driveway?

I'm a prospective buyer of the LUBA 3 3000H. In another thread I asked whether I could keep the charging base in my garage, and what happens if it can't get a good GPS signal there. I got mixed answers about whether it would work.

So maybe I can approach it with a different question. If it can't get a good GPS signal in the garage, and the mower won't leave the base, could I steer it out of the base (with the two steering dots in the app) into the driveway where it can get GPS and start mowing from there?

Can I keep Charging Base in Garage?

Shopping for a robotic mower. If the mower has netRTK + LiDAR + Cameras, can the base be kept in my garage? When I have asked about this elsewhere, some said the charging base and the mower have to have a good GPS signal or the robot won't leave the base because it doesn't know where it is. So if the garage roof blocks GPS, I would not be able to keep the charging base in the garage.

Others say that the mower will use its LIDAR and/or cameras to leave the base (and to return) when it can't get a GPS signal, similar to how it does it can switch to LiDAR when it loses GPS in the yard under trees.

Anyone know the facts about this? I prefer to keep the charging base and mower in the garage between mowings so the mower is better protected from theft.

Lowes Returns for Mammotion Mowers?

Anyone here bought a Mammotion mower from Lowes and returned in within 30 days? I was going to buy one from Lowes for ease of return to a local store. But I saw a thread somewhere on Reddit in which someone mentioned that when he tried to return one, Lowes wanted an RMA number from Mammotion, which he had a hard time getting.

Lowes website for this product seems to indicate that their normal return policy applies (which is 30 days for mowers). No mention of having to get an RMA number from Mammotion.

Can a netRTK + LIDAR mower be kept in my garage?

If a netRTK + LIDAR model like the LUBA 3 AWD 3000H is kept in a garage (car garage - not mower garage) between mowing sessions, can it still dock and undock in the garage and go do its mowing even if it can't get a good GPS/RTK signal while in the garage?

I read somewhere that the base and mower both have to have a good GPS signal at all times, and if it can't get one in the garage, it won't work. Is that true? I thought the LIDAR would take over when the GPS signal isn't strong.

LUBA 3 AWD 1500 vs. 3000 -- NetRTK>

Trying to decide between the LUBA 3 AWD 1500 and the 3000. I only have 5,000 Sq. ft. so the 1500 is more than enough capacity, and I hope to have it do the whole yard on one charge.

The only reason I am considering the 3000 is that it has netRTK in addition to the LIDAR and cameras. It also has stronger motors, but that's probably not needed in my suburban Indiana lawn. What would having netRTK gain me compared to buying the 1500 and not having it.

Dreame Mower Replacement Battery Availability?

Shopping for my first robotic mower. Down to the LUBA 3 and Dreame A3. Replacing the battery on the LUBA requires taking the robot apart, which I would not want to do. It looks like the A3 battery is in an easily accessible compartment that allows easy replacement. And also easy to remove and store indoors during the winter cold months.

It's probably too soon for A3 batteries to be available, but for previous Dreame mower models in past years, have replacement batteries been widely available (in the U.S.)?
