Advice on painting Converse symbol *not my pic*

I’m painting converse for my friend for her birthday. For the frog on the converse symbol, how do i go about doing that? painting it white and using pencil? maybe draw the design on paper and copy it to both shoes? i want it to be symmetrical, and this is my first time painting shoes. thanks for reading!

Running for student council- please help!!
