Another dissapointment

July 4 is one the biggest festival events in our area. This year we had excessive heat and a dangerous thunderstorm. Last year the city workers were picketing the site and the entertainment cancelled. Two years ago we had excessive heat and a dangerous thunderstorm. Sales were greatly affected negatively.

I'm dehydrated, tired, annoyed and disappointed. I can't wait to see what this week brings.

Should I go back next year?

I worked a Monday night food truck festival last night. It was a beautiful evening. My sales, as well as everybody else's, were down 40% from previous years. We still make money (on a day that we usually don't make any money) but I'm wondering if it makes sense to go back. When do you say I like money, but it's just not worth it anymore (just for this event).

Rained out

The whole weekend was rained out. Friday night, Saturday, Sunday and now Monday. There are no rain dates when you are booked every weekend from now until November.

Opportunities lost that can never be recovered. It just sucks, but life moves on.

Sometimes. I think we invented suffering

Part of a 10 truck caravan doing a lunchtime employee appreciation event tomorrow.

Parked in the middle of a parking lot with temps expected to be real feel of 97° but will certainly feel hotter.

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it.
