scammed on tickets

i really should’ve known better. you got one over on me. i stupidly assumed that CHIME was a legitimate app, and thought you were actually selling the tickets you said you had.

i’m talking to chime support, but i know that won’t work. you can send me my money back, but i know you won’t.

buyer beware: budda_belly is a scammer.

first week after orientation

brand new express courier trying to figure what i’m supposed to be doing this week. i finished my 3 day computer zoom orientation training class on friday. i couldn’t find my manager before i left, but i did text them to let them know i was done. they said they’d get back to me.

i still haven’t heard anything, and if i should reach out again to see what’s up. i think there’s only the defensive driving course left before i actually start, but i don’t have any details.

i know my what my schedule is going to be, but i’m not sure exactly when that takes effect. i’ll shoot my manager a text later if i don’t hear anything.

what is the post orientation process usually like? ground was so much easier to deal with…express has been a lot.

valve stem cover thefts

it’s such a weird & random thing to even think about, but people are out there stealing valve stem covers. i know i didn’t just randomly lose 2 on one side of my car.

i guess stay vigilant or else you should be prepared to have to buy a set of $6 punisher logo valve stem covers off of amazon.

likely happened near revolution hall. a lot of cars park in that area.

officially retiring my first vest

this was my security blanket for the last 10 years. wore it almost everyday. it’s been to hundreds of shows, multiple states, and everywhere else i’ve been.

it’s falling apart, faded to shit, and i think it’s time to retire it.

(vest used to be black)

“sorry, we missed you”

had a delivery to a job site where no one was working. had to find a door for the door tag.

the waiting period sucks

currently waiting to hear back from express after the background check company sent over their results a week ago. i reached out to my recruiter yesterday, and i haven’t heard anything back yet. i just want to know what’s going on.

meanwhile, i’ve been driving for ground for a little over a month, and i’m so fucking ready to quit.

ground vs express

started as a ground driver a few weeks ago, and it kinda sucks. i shouldn’t really have to explain why.

now, this week, i have an interview for an express pm 1-7 route. i’m guessing this is primarily a pickup route.

with this 2.0 bullshit happening, is making the switch still worth it?

i’m looking to take advantage of some of the benefits that actually working for fedex provides vs working for a contractor.

edit: i’m a courier.

from the scanner: fully involved vacant house with other houses close by (exposures), and power lines down across stark.
