Work / School Accomodations

TLDR; it feels like psychological torture trying to stay awake at work and doing school work what accommodations do i ask for?

hi everyone! i’m currently having to schedule an appointment with a sleep doctor to get a sleep study done for narcolepsy. i’ve been tired all of my life and have these sleep attacks through the day where it starts out as yawning but to where it’s practically psychological torture to try and force myself to stay awake. i constantly think about even if i can find somewhere to lay on the floor at work and sleep with how bad it is without being caught.

unfortunately my sleep attacks have been coming to a head and affecting my every day more than usual mentally, emotionally, and physically where it is getting harder and harder to stay awake at work for the full time without a sudden attack or trying to stay caught up in my online masters courses / staying awake during tests / homework assignments.

i really do not want to get fired if i get caught sleeping at work or fail my courses but like i mentioned it feels like torture trying to stay awake. what accomodations should i reasonably discuss with my doctor and ultimately school / work??

adopted these brothers today :)

as the title mentions i picked these brothers up today from a neighborhood on the north side of indianapolis. they were found in an abandoned house (the neighborhood thinks they were left behind) and had been living on the street getting fed by the neighbors. now they have a nice warm home where they’ll get spoiled rotten. i’m thinking of naming them after my favorite movie back to the future - biff & mcfly

Getting Started

I just recently picked up my first model kit and am hoping to get started on it soon, however I’ve noticed there’s plenty of different recommendations for materials that I haven’t picked up yet: brushes, sandpaper, tape, glue, etc.

Would anyone happen to be able to send links / recommend products I still need? I think I am starting to get overwhelmed by the amount of options haha.

I’m super interested in this hobby, but don’t want to spend a crazy ton to maybe (hopefully not) realize I’m not as interested as I thought I was then to have all of this excess. TIA :)

Getting into MTB as a short female

Hey all, I’ve following this subreddit for years bc I’ve always found this hobby sick. I’m wanting to get into riding myself (based out of Indiana), however I’m 4’11 is this going to make it more difficult to find a bike that I fit / isn’t too heavy?

I was looking at the Liv Tempt in the XS or S. Not sure on the model though.. I see Tempt 1 has hydraulic brakes for 1k and the 2 & 4 don’t.
Is this a good first rig? What gear should I be looking at besides this?

Building my first PC : 3.5k USD

• New build or upgrade?
New Build
• Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
I have 2 monitors currently and a keyboard
• PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
Software development, CAD, (might do light gaming.. haven’t decided yet if so it’d be Forza and COD if not on my xbox)
• Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors)
USA and yes literally down the street
• Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
Not needed
• Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
Wide range from 2k - 3.5k. Hoping to stay on the lower end but realistically I want something that’s going to last years (and look aesthetically pleasing since I have to stare at it for a while lol)
• WiFi or wired connection?
Wired
• Size/noise constraints?
Hoping for something not terribly loud since it’ll be in the living area of my apartment, but I can handle some noise.
• Color/lighting preferences?
All White build. Doesn’t have to have RGB, but I like the look of the fans when they’re set to one solid color
• Any other specific needs?
I like the look of the Lian Li O11 Vision (or Compact) case, but I’m open to other case ideas / sizes

Starting tool collection

Hi all!

Just recently started collecting tools to perform all of my own maintenance on my 24 Civic & 25 Crosstrek.Just picked up a few things the other day to perform oil changes (see photo). I live in an apartment with a one stall garage so I can’t have everything, but I can have some stuff!

Anything you guys recommend I pick up for general purpose / maintenance / good to have?

TIA
