Mixed media cut paper collage with ripley and jonesy

I used my own blown up brush stokes as collage pieces and found where they formed interesting/representational images. White gel pen is the other media I used.

Made this 2D image by cutting the negative space out of a black sheet of paper (like a stencil) and then layering that paper on top of a lighter colored piece of the same size. I was happy with the depth and dimensionality I achieved with such a limited technique.

I plan on bringing “Spikey” to a ren faire in a few weeks. I made this little buddy on my own with no pattern; I used dk yarns for the body and back spines, velvet and felt for the wings with an internal wire armature, and beads for the spike details. There’s thick wire running through the body so he’s posable. He turned out a little overstuffed and asymmetrical but I’m pretty happy with it.

I’ve been crocheting various artificial botanicals (plants, flowers, cacti and fungi) and arranging them in vases and terrariums.

Pattern from Etsy, altered by me to change body and wing shape. I experimented with different yarn textures (velvet, eyelash, super bulky)

Strange little scene I crocheted for a friend. I used different textures of yarn (cotton, acrylic, metallic sparkle, velvet), wire for pose-able limbs, colored safety eyes, and modeling foam and glitter for his accessory.
