This one was so fun! I love historical costuming and cute calico critters. This time I got way better photos, and she just looks so adorable lol. Everyone was so nice and kind with my last post I thought I’d try to do something a little more detailed than I’ve done before! I was thinking of maybe making a working class one next, but no clue what era, thoughts? I also made an instagram for those who might want to see more photos or find it interesting, also was thinking of starting to document the process of making one of these things, for anyone who’s it’s “historical_calico”, there more up close photos on there!

Everyone was so nice and kind with my last post and really made my day, so I decided to try my hand at this one! I saw a comment suggesting it and I thought it was an amazing idea! I have more photos this time and better quality lol, I also made an instagram for anyone who wants to see more photos of it, it’s “historical_calico”! I made some accessories for her, I call her “Bunniè” Antionette lol, which was fun! And I forgot about some cool historical details that I rediscovered while making this which was fun, like the perfume chatelaine! I’m thinking of doing working class next, what era should I do?

I recently finished making historical outfits for Calico Critters ranging from the 1490s to the 1920s. All except the 1700s outfit (my worst and first attempt!) have found new homes.
I have a passion for historical clothing and it’s even better in these cute calico critters!. I’m thinking about making more and documenting the process because it’s been a fun project.
Do you think there’s much interest in historical Calico Critter clothing? Are there particular eras or styles you’d like to see? I’d also love any feedback or suggestions for improving the outfits.
