Best psionic power for a demolitionist?

As an example, let's say that you had a manifester (class doesn't really matter for this,) that wanted to be able to efficiently destroy unattended objects, doors and walls. What would be the best power for a low-to-mid level manifester, mostly in terms of it's power point cost-to-damage ratio? I mean, psionic disintegrate is pretty tasty, but that's a 6th level power. I'm hoping for something of a lower level. I know that the ones that deal sonic damage most often ignore object hardness, but I can't figure out which one would be best, or if there's a non-elemental power that would work better. No explosions are required, but would not necessarily be frowned upon. TIA!

The Psych-Crystal, or, How I Learned to Stop Being Biological and Be a Rock

Okay, so I just wanted to be upfront about this one, it's going to be strange. I'm looking for feedback on a homebrew template/race thing that could be inflicted on an unlucky Kalashtar who took the Kalashtar Psion ACFs and got a little lost in the rock. Please let me know if there's anything you'd change and what you think an appropriate level adjustment would be. I hope to avoid racial hit dice if at all possible. I apologize in advance if the formatting is weird. Reddit's fancy pants editor doesn't care for copy/paste. Also, I hope you enjoy the image that I so skillfully crafted for this post. It was about 85% MSPaint and 15% Adobe's free online Photoshop (which I probably should have just skipped.) I give you:

The Psych-Crystal
Being a Kalashtar is hard, even at the best of times. You've got to deal with the Inspired, stealth missions into Riedra, weird Quori monsters trying to hunt you down, and all other manner of weirdness. Sometimes, though, just getting along with your daily life can hit you with some unpleasant challenges. Presented, here, is an acquired (more like, inflicted) template for Kalashtar Telepaths who have elected to take the racial alternative class features from Races of Eberron (pg 125.) This is something to discuss with your DM to figure out the particulars of how to inflict it on your character. I'm intentionally leaving the details of the transformation somewhat vague because this is supposed to be an unintentional and unpleasant occurrence.

Basically, there are rare occasions when, upon taking the Kalashtar Psion third level alternative class feature, they inadvertently pour too much of their mental energies into their psicrystal and end up fusing with it. This causes them to completely shed their biological form, and new protuberances of crystal to grow from their psicrystal. The former Kalashtar's consciousness, as well as their quori spirit are now housed (trapped?) in these crystal formations. So, depending on what psicrystal feats the Kalashtar has, they will end up with a crystalline body that resembles the one on pg 126 of Races of Eberron, but with 4 crystals growing out of the central 'body'. One shard for their psicrystal's original personality, another for the psicrystal personality from the 'compound psicrystal' alternate class feature, one for the psion, and one for their quori spirit. But also, having the "Improved Psicrystal" feat would add another crystal protrusion to their form. The psion's Kalashtar body quickly breaks down into a strangely iridescent gray dust, similar to what happens to someone subject to the disintegrate power or spell.

This is not a template that any known Kalashtar have ever opted to take, and even if they knew about it [Knowledge (Psionics), DC 25], they would never have been able to intentionally replicate it. Not that many would want to.

• A note here to avoid (some) confusion: There are a couple of terms here that get used a lot, 'Psych-Crystal' and 'psicrystal personalities'. Psych-Crystal refers to the formerly Kalashtar psion's new form that very much resembles what their former psicrystal did. The psicrystal personalities are only marginally separate mental entities. Basically, the whole thing is a single crystal cluster that houses the Kalashtar psion's mind, their quori spirit, and at least two psicrystal personalities. Hopefully (maybe) that clears things up.

• Prerequisites: In order for this template to be applied, the Kalashtar must have the Psicrystal Affinity feat, and have taken both the 1st and 3rd level alternative class features from Races of Eberron. This template manifests as soon as that third level is taken. Special: This template requires DM approval because it so drastically changes who and what you are, and how you interact with literally everything.

Creating a Psych-Crystal

"Psych-Crystal" is an acquired template that can be added to any Kalashtar who has just taken the 3rd level of Psion (Telepath) and has selected the 3rd level alternative class feature from pg 125 of Races of Eberron. A Psych-Crystal uses all the base creature's statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

• Type: Upon gaining this template, the Kalashtar loses any racial types or subtypes and becomes a living construct.
As a living construct, a Psych-Crystal has the following traits:
• Unlike other constructs, a Psych-Crystal has a Constitution score.
• Unlike other constructs, a Psych-Crystal does not have low-light vision or darkvision and loses such abilities if they had them previously.
• Unlike other constructs, a Psych-Crystal is not immune to mind-affecting spells and abilities.
• Immunity to poison, sleep effects, paralysis, disease, nausea, fatigue, exhaustion, effects that cause the sickened condition, and energy drain.
• A Psych-Crystal cannot heal damage naturally.
• Unlike other constructs, Psych-Crystal are subject to critical hits, nonlethal damage, stunning, ability damage, ability drain, death effects, and necromancy effects.
• As living constructs, Psych-Crystal can be affected by spells that target living creatures as well as by those that target constructs. Damage dealt to a Psych-Crystal can be healed by a cure light wounds spell or a repair light damage spell, for example, and a Psych-Crystal is vulnerable to disable construct and harm. However, spells from the healing subschool, the psychometabolism discipline, and supernatural abilities that cure or heal hit point damage or ability damage provide only half their normal effects to a Psych-Crystal.
• The unusual crystal structure of Psych-Crystal makes them vulnerable to certain spells and effects that normally don’t affect living creatures.
As a crystalline being, a Psych-Crystal takes full normal damage from shatter. But also, a psych-crystal takes 1d6 damage per spell level while in the area of spells like soften earth and stone and stone shape. Likewise, a Psych-Crystal is affected by repel metal or stone as if he were wearing metal armor.
• A Psych-Crystal responds slightly differently from other living creatures when reduced to 0 hit points. A Psych-Crystal with 0 hit points is disabled, as with a living creature. He can take only a single move action or standard action in each round, but strenuous activity does not risk further injury. When his hit points are less than 0 and greater than –10, a Psych-Crystal is inert. He is unconscious and helpless, and cannot perform any actions. An inert Psych-Crystal does not lose additional hit points unless more damage is dealt to him, like a living creature that has become stable. If the Psych-Crystal's hit points are reduced to -10, then they are destroyed.
• As a living construct, a Psych-Crystal can be raised or resurrected, but will always come back in their Psych-Crystal form, and can never be permanently reverted or changed into another form, even when using a Wish spell. The change into a Psych-Crystal is permanent.
• A Psych-Crystal does not need to eat, sleep, or breathe, but he can still benefit from the effects of consumable spells and magic items such as heroes’ feast and potions, although no one has ever quite been able to figure out where the consumables actually go.
• Although living constructs do not need to sleep, a Psych-Crystal must still rest for 8 hours before preparing spells or regaining power points.
• A Psych-Crystal immediately ceases aging upon their transformation, and does not continue to accrue bonuses and penalties from aging, but retains any bonuses or penalties they had already gained as a Kalashtar.

• Size: The character's size decreases to Diminuitive. They gain a +4 size bonus to attack rolls, a +4 size bonus to AC, and a +12 size bonus on Hide checks. The Psych-Crystal must use smaller equipment and their lifting and carrying limits are one quarter that of a medium-sized creature. They retain the physical and mental ability scores and modifiers they had as a Kalashtar, but they take a -6 size penalty to their Strength score and gain a +6 size bonus to their Dexterity score. A Psych-Crystal loses the ability to flank or to make attacks of opportunity outside of their own space.

(Yeah, this means that they may be stronger and way more dextrous than a 'normal' psicrystal, but still, as a diminuitive creature, they'll probably have a very low Strength score and the resulting carrying capacity described on pg 162 of the PHB.)

• Speed: A Psych-Crystal using its self-propulsion ability (see below,) gains a land speed of 30' and a climb speed of 20'. While climbing, a Psych-Crystal uses their Dexterity modifier instead of their Strength modifier on Climb checks. They have a +8 racial bonus on Climb checks and can always choose to take 10, even if rushed or threatened. A Psych-Crystal with 9 or more manifester levels using their Flight ability (again, see below,) gains a fly speed of 50' with poor maneuverability.

• Special Qualities:
• Psicrystal Abilities: A Psych-Crystal gains abilities as though they, themself, were a normal psicrystal, except as noted, here. As with normal psicrystals, a Psych-Crystal's "racial" abilities are determined by their manifester level:
• Natural Armor Adj. (Ex): The number noted on the chart on pg 22 of the XPH is an improvement to the Psych-Crystal’s natural armor bonus (normally 0). It represents their preternatural durability.
• Intelligence Adj. (Ex): The number noted on the chart on pg 22 of the XPH is added to the Intelligence score of each of the psicrystal personalities, not the Intelligence of the formerly Kalashtar Psych-Crystal. Psicrystals are as smart as people (though not necessarily as smart as smart people).
• Alertness (Ex): The presence of the psicrystal personalities, and the fact that their forms are now a single unit with its master, the master's senses are sharpened. Because of this, its owner gains the Alertness feat as a bonus feat.
• Improved Evasion (Ex): As with the Alertness feat, the Psych-Crystal's ability to react to external stimuli is sharpened. If a Psych-Crystal is subjected to an attack that normally allows a Reflex saving throw for half damage, they take no damage if they makes a successful saving throw and half damage even if the saving throw fails.
• Personality (Ex): The psicrystal maintains its own personalities (one from the base psicrystal and 1 for any additional personalities gained from the Compound Psicrystal ability and 1 for any additional personalities gained from the Improved Psicrystal feat,) in a separate but conjoined shard of crystal attached to the main Psych-Crystal body.
This personality is still just a shard of the Psych-Crystal master's personality, and the psicrystal's personalities can be changed to different ones after 8 hours of rest as a full-round action. The psicrystal personality is now just a purely mental entity, and loses any ability to physically interact with its environment.
• Self-Propulsion (Su): As a standard action, Psych-Crystal can form spidery, ectoplasmic legs that grant them a land speed of 30 feet and a climb speed of 20 feet. The legs fade into nothingness after one day (or sooner, if desired).
• Share Powers (Su): Since the psicrystal and the Psych-Crystal are a single physical unit, now, any spells, powers or effects that affect the Psych-Crystal's physical form have no effect on the psicrystal personalities. However, any spells, powers, or effects that have a mental effect on the Psych-Crystal do still affect the psicrystal personalities as though they are separate entities. This applies to any spells, powers or effects, whether they originate from the Psych-Crystal or not.
• Sighted (Ex): Although it has no physical sensory organs, a Psych-Crystal and the psicrystal personalities can telepathically sense their environment as well as a creature with normal vision and hearing. Darkness (even supernatural darkness) is irrelevant, as are areas of supernatural silence, though a Psych-Crystal still can’t discern invisible or ethereal beings. A psicrystal’s sighted range is 40 feet.
• Telepathic Link (Ex): The Psych-Crystal and the psicrystal personalities are in constant telepathic contact with each other. This link is entirely internal to the crystal structure of the Psych-Crystal, and is not subject to dispelling or antimagic fields.
• Reach Power (Sp): Since a Psych-Crystal and his psicrystal personalities are now a single unit, it iss impossible for the Psych-Crystal to Deliver Touch Powers or Channel Powers through their psicrystal personalities. Instead, they gain the ability to manifest powers with a range of 'touch' at a range of up to 25' at 3rd level and 50' at 15th level. This is similar to the Reach Power metapsionic feat (Dragon Magazine #287), except that it does not increase the power point cost of the power used. The use of this ability does temporarily overload the Psych-Crystal's connection to their psicrystal personalities, meaning that for one minute, the Psych-Crystal loses the skill bonus from one of their psicrystal personalities. Use of this ability in consecutive rounds could result in losing access to all of the skill bonuses from their psicrystal personalities, in which case they temporarily lose access to this ability. This replaces the standard Deliver Touch Powers and Channel Powers psicrystal abilities.
• Telepathic Speech (Ex): If the Psych-Crystal has 5 manifester levels, they (and the psicrystal personalities) can communicate telepathically with any creature that has a language and is within 30 feet of the Psych-Crystal. Depending on which psicrystal personalities the Psych-Crystal has chosen, this could be very aggravating (or even entertaining) for anyone within range for any length of time. The Psych-Crystal can always hear any conversations that their psicrystal personalities are having with anyone else.
• Flight (Su): If the Psych-Crystal has 9 or more manifester levels, they can, as a standard action, take to the air and fly at a speed of 50 feet with poor maneuverability. The Psych-Crystal drifts gently to the ground after one day (or sooner, if the desired).
• Power Resistance (Ex): If the Psych-Crystal has 11 or more manifester levels, they gain power resistance equal to their base manifester level + 5. To affect the Psych-Crystal with a power, another manifester must get a result on a manifester level check that equals or exceeds the Psych-Crystal’s power resistance.
• Improved Senses: The range of a Psych-Crystal's senses increase to 80'. This replaces the standard Sight Link ability.

• Racial Skill and Save bonuses: +2 racial bonus on saving throws against mind-affecting spells and abilities, including possession. The Psych-Crystal’s multiple spirits/personalities help them resist spells that target their minds. +2 racial bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate checks. Psych-Crystals retain their Kalashtar mastery over social interaction, influencing others through their subtle psychic powers, and frankly, intriguing nature. +2 racial bonus on Disguise checks made to impersonate chunks of weird rock. Psych-Crystals have a close physical resemblance to strange rocks and crystals that permeate the world, and as such, they have little difficulty passing themselves off as such geological phenomena.

• Just Kalashtar Enough: Psych-Crystals, as rare as they are, retain just enough of their Kalashtar essence to still qualify for feats, prestige classes, etc, for which being a Kalashtar is a prerequisite. Of course, they still have to be able to meet any other requirements, as normal.

• Construct-Adjacent: Psych-Crystals are also in a unique position where they qualify for feats, prestige classes, etc, that are usually reserved for living constructs like the Warforged, as long as they meet any other prerequisites. However, Psych-Crystals are not able to take 1st Level Only feats for Warforged, like Adamantine Body, Mithral Body, etc.

• Naturally Psionic: Psych-Crystals retain the 1 extra power point per character level that they gain from their Kalashtar heritage.

• Psi-Like Abilities: Mindlink (3/day, see text). This ability is like the psionic power manifested by a wilder of Psych-Crystal’s Hit Dice (minimum 1st level). Since this template requires taking both the 1st and 3rd level Kalashtar psion alternate class features, you will have at least 3 uses of this ability. However, if you decide to also take the 5th level Kalashtar psion alternate class feature, you gain another use of this ability, for a total of 4 uses per day.

• Automatic Languages: Common and Quor. Bonus Languages: Draconic and Riedran.

• Favored Class: Psion. A multiclass Psych-Crystal’s psion class does not count when determining whether he takes an experience point penalty for multiclassing.

• Level Adjustment: Hell, I don't know.

[desktop web] Trying to create a user-editable flair, but can't enter text in the box.

As the title, trying to create a user-editable flair to go next to their usernames when they post/comment, but I cannot create the new flair. When I click on the box where you'd type in what you want the flair to initially show up as, it will not let me click on the box or enter text in it. Obviously, this is sorta holding the process up. How do I fix this?

Edit: Nevermind, I just had to go into old reddit for it to work. Are they ever going to fix 'new' reddit?

Mod Post - What user flairs would you like to see added to the sub?

Edit: Okay, so I went in and made a new user-editable flair that currently says "Edit this one for your own, keep it appropriate/SFW" so that way, people can add whatever descriptor they think fits themself best, but without me having to go in and add a whole bunch of new flairs. Even adding that one was a big enough pain since I had to use old reddit to do it. But again, keep whatever description that you choose as appropriate to the content of this sub and also SFW. But also, some of the other pre-existing flairs, like "Atheist" and "Theist" are (and have always been) user-editable.

The original post:
A request was made to add a new flair to the sub for a particular brand of movie-based atheist, at least, that's the way I understand what it is. It got me to thinking, what self-identification flair(s) would you like to see added to the sub to give people the choice to better identify themselves? Please keep things reasonably SFW and appropriate to the subject matter of the sub. Stuff like Naturalist, Materialist, Secular Humanist, as well as identifiers for specific real-world religious sects won't be a problem. Cenobite, Last Thursdayist and Jediism are ones I would probably be willing to allow depending on the number of people who want them, but not so much with something like "Adonitologist", despite my own personal devotion. IYKYK (but also: /s.)

Let's try to avoid duplicate entries. As we get comments on this post, please read through all the high-level replies to see if the one you want has already been listed by someone else. If it has, give it an upvote and/or comment. The ones that get the most upvotes/comments will probably get added first.

Suggestions for three replacement consoles, please.

Okay, so I used to run plasma damage, almost exclusively. But when the Hysperian Intel Battlecruiser came out, I absolutely fell in love with the Five Magics trait and the Dragonsblood Flame Reactor. So I switched up my build and have been running disruptor damage and various consoles/boff abilities/traits/whatever that either boost disruptor damage or add in radiation, electric, cold or fire damage. Plus, I just really like my clickies. Psionic is pretty much left out because it's a pain to add it to the build and just doesn't seem worth it.

As sort of a leftover from my plasma days, and the three consoles I'm looking to replace, I've been running the Cutting Tractor Beam, the Retrofitted Assimilator consoles, and a Plasma-Generating Weapon Signature Nullifier.

On the Cutting Tractor Beam, I liked it mainly because of the temp boost to damage on other Universal Consoles, although the Hull Restoration and Energized Hull Plating plus the kinetic damage that it does aren't anything to sneeze at. For the Retrofitted Assimilator, having a new little friend wasn't bad, but Exotic Particle Generator and Control Expertise were the real draw. With the Plasma-Generating Weapon Signature Nullifier, it was always about the Control Expertise boost, but the little bit of extra damage from the plasma explosions was okay, too. But also, I used to think it was really important to minimize threat generation, but anymore, it doesn't super seem to be an issue.

Ultimately, I think I would like to replace all three of those consoles, but I'm not sure what to replace them with. I already have my fill of the Isomagnetic Plasma Distribution Manifolds, so I'm not wanting to add any more of those.

What consoles would you recommend that would boost EPG, CRTX and maybe provide some additional synergy with Five Magicks/Dragonsblood Flame Reactor?

Edit: Clarity, I think.

So about the Psion Nomad ACF "Personal Space"

Here's the text from the Mind's Eye article where it was introduced:

>Personal Space
You have an extradimensional storage pocket available.
Level: 1st.
Replaces: The bonus feat at 1st level.
Benefit: You gain an extradimensional storage space within your body. You can access it as a psi-like ability by expending your psionic focus. You may send an item to it or retrieve an item as you wish. The size of the storage space grows with your own power. At 1st level it is equivalent to a belt pouch, at 5th level it equals a sack, at 10th level it is the size of a backpack, at 15th level it is the size of a chest, and at 20th level it is the size of a Medium creature.
You cannot store anything that has extradimensional properties, such as a bag of holding , within your personal space. Any attempt will fail.

Bold, mine. As you can see, it specifies that you can't put extradimensional spaces in your personal extradimensional space. But, what if you tried to go into an extradimensional space? It doesn't say anything about that? Would normal astral breech rules apply? Personally, I'd be more inclined to say that it would fail until you emptied your personal extradimensional space out and 'dismissed' it. You could then later expend your psionic focus to re-open it.

Ideas?

The Kuvah'Magh, stuck on 'Regroup with the Doctor'

Trying to do the The Kuvah-Magh for daily progress and the new mission rewards, and I got stuck on the objective "Regroup with the Doctor." The clock counted down, and currently shows 0:00 and Singh is next to the transporter room, but I can't find any options/objects/people to interact with. I beamed out and tried to continue, but it's still stuck. What do I do?

Edit: So, after this issue happened this morning, I beamed up and left the mission active. I went and did Defense of Starbase One, just so I could get the event progress. I waited until after maintenance was done and got the patch, then I tried to resume the mission, got stuck at the same spot. So, I beamed up, dropped the mission, and then completely restarted it. Same problem as before. I get to the final room with the enhanced Gorn, where Singh is off in another room by the transporter pad and I'm supposed to Regroup with The Doctor and the timer is at 0:00. The Doctor is just following me around and I'm not being given any prompts or anything I can interact with.

Gne25jskcfss Water/Ice issues

Okay, so I've got a Gne25jskcfss french door refrigerator (freezer on the bottom), and the water isn't working in it, anymore. One day, I just went in to get some water, and it quit dispensing. At about the same time, it quit making ice. When you press the button to dispense water, there's the 'normal' click sound, plus a hissing sound sort of like it should make when dispensing, but nothing comes out. For a while after it stopped making ice, it it would make noises like it was trying to make ice, but no water flowed in and no ice was ever dispensed, so I turned off the ice maker.

I've replaced the water filter and used the bypass plug. I've checked the lines as best I can and they seem clear. I've defrosted the fridge multiple times. I've checked the water line to the fridge and it seems clear. Today, I was in the fridge getting food, and the fridge kicked on (the compressor, I think,) and there was a weird noise that came from the water filter. So, I reached over and hit the water dispenser button, and a brief jet of water shot out, but then it stopped, again. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, and moreso if it means I don't have to start taking stuff apart.

Suggestions on a build to mimic (not perfectly replicate) a Yautja hunter from the Predator movies?

Let me preface this by stating that this is a ECL 10 build that will likely never see play, there is no DM, and this is purely for boredom-mitigation. I'm mostly talking through this in my head as I'm typing this out, but I would very much appreciate input on what you think would work the best.

I've been watching the Predator movies, and I was thinking it might be fun to build 'The Ultimate Hunter', or at least, one that's good at hunting prey that can hunt him back. I know about the Zern race, but frankly, that's a bit much, both LA and racial HD-wise. So, I'd like to go with a race/template combo that has, at most, a +1 LA. I might be willing to go with a +2 LA if it was really good. The problem is, no race/template combo really sounds good, right now. I mean, Feral has great abilities and would fit really well thematically, but the gut-punch to Intelligence is painful. Plus, I'm not sure what kind of race I'd want to even start with, other than human for the extra feat/skill points. Some of the jungle racial variants, like halfling or goblin, don't sound bad either, despite them ending up as small creatures. Jungle halfling for the poison use, and jungle goblin for the climb speed.

For the class, I was thinking ranger or barbarian, leaning ranger, and possibly doing a slight reflavor on the Forest Reeve PrC for the 4th lvl Camouflage ability. The Forest Reeve seems like it'd be the closest PrC, flavor-wise that would give Hide in Plain Sight (or a similar ability) at or below an ECL of 10. Plus, increased movement speed, some healing, unhindered by undergrowth, faster tracking speed, etc from that PrC sound like a really good fit.

I would probably also take at least two of the following feats, mostly for flavor: Snatch Trophy, Trophy Collector and Trophy Hunter. I'd also have to give him Endurance to qualify for Forest Reeve, but Track is a bonus feat from Ranger. Part of the reflavor I might do for Forest Reeve would be to change the requirement for Endurance to Heat Endurance, since the Yautja are depicted as very hot-climate creatures. But also, he gets the bonus feat for his chosen weapon style, and now that I'm re-reading the Ranger class description, he'd also get the Endurance feat as a bonus feat. Still, I don't think a smattering of homebrew to change that to Heat Endurance would be horribly out of the question.

Many of the common Predator weapons are covered by simple and martial weapon proficiencies, but I want to work in proficiency with the chakram, shuriken and nets. For the plasma caster, I'd probably just give him the Stone Spitter Maug graft with the Flaming enhancement and some special ammunition.

So, if you were going to do a Predator-inspired build that didn't necessarily have to replicate every single little detail perfectly, but was trying to be at least moderately faithful to what the Yautja are and what they do, what would you build them as? What race/template, class/prestige class, and feat combinations would you pick for such a hunter?

Cast change/Karina Departure Megathread

Okie dokie, folks! This thread is going to be the one-stop shop for any AND ALL discussion about the recent news about the cast of Drawfee changing due to Karina's departure. So, if you have something you want to discuss on that topic, please keep such discussions in the comments of this post. But also, please keep the discussion about the situation relevant to what we actually know (from here and here), which is mostly that Karina is stepping away, and that we should follow her socials and support her work moving forward. As was specifically asked for by Drawfee, please respect their privacy in this difficult situation.

So, again, please keep all commentary and discussion related to the cast change in this pinned post, and do not make new posts about it. But also, please do not engage in unfounded speculation or go digging into the social media or personal lives of the cast. The mods of this sub understand that a lot of people are feeling a lot of ways about the whole thing, but you have to remember that the Karina, Julia, Jacob, Nathan, and David are people who deserve our respect, and their privacy.

Some of the posts that have been made recently are going to be removed, mostly the ones that are just unfounded speculation and show a lack of respect for their privacy. If you have questions, feel free to ask the mods, but c'mon folks, let's all try to be nice and pull together as a community and support the artists that we love.

Edit: I admit I was mistaken about the whole burnout comic thing. I didn't realize how old that comic was and I thought that it was a much newer thing in reference to this whole situation. I apologize for the error and have corrected the post.

What type of abilities are those granted by Quori Embedded Dragonshards? Spell-like, supernatural, or extraordinary?

Pretty much the title of the post, but in MoE and ECS, the quori embedded dragonshards don't ever really specify (as far as I could find) what kind of abilities their effects are. A page reference would be awesome, too, please.

"Some" is entirely a subjective term that depends various factors like the subject matter of your post and the number of replies on it."

Emphasis added, here, because the mod settings wouldn't let me add bolded or italicized text in the actual rule. This topic has been discussed multiple times on this sub since I took it over, and I thought it was a reasonable (and obvious) enough expectation that it didn't need to be an official rule of the sub. However, it was recently brought to my attention that it was not laid out clearly enough, for which I apologize. Hopefully this will clear things up.

And while this is not a debate sub, it is a discussion sub.

Also, I don't know for sure, but it sure seems like reddit is tightening up their filters when it comes to stuff getting removed for 'Potential Harassment'. I would rather that the sub didn't get restricted or whatever because of people being disrespectful, insulting or hateful towards each other, so I'd also like to remind you folks of rule 1 - Be Respectful, which can also be found in the sidebar. I don't normally go looking for comments that violate that rule, and I rely on reports from you all to take care of what needs taking care of. But an increasing number of comments have been showing up in the mod log as 'Removed by Reddit.'

So yeah, if someone is being disrespectful, definitely report it, but let's all try to remember that this sub is for asking questions, discussion, and communication.

Not tagging a specific edition because I'm curious to find out how this would work, in general.

Okay, so a Tremere tracks down a lower-generation Salubri, gets the jump on them and drains them to the point of final death, but they keep sucking and manage to suck the soul out of the Salubri. Huzzah. Then there is some sort of contest (Willpower, I think,) where the two souls fight over control of the diablerist's body.

If the Tremere wins, they consume the Salubri's soul, get the weird vibe-thing, the black streaks in their aura, and maybe end up lowering their generation, among other possible effects. But what happens if the Tremere fails and the Salubri takes over the Tremere's body? Does their third eye open on the Tremere's body? Do they absorb any knowledge or information from the Tremere? Do they end up with black streaks in their aura, or, do they get the weird vibes thing? Do they test positive to thaumaturgical tests that would sniff out diablerie? I mean, the Salubri isn't the one who committed diablerie.

Tibbits are a race from the Dragon Compendium that are sort of a feline-coded halfling-adjacent race that can turn into house cats. From their entry in the book:

>Feline Transformation: At will, as a standard action, a tibbit can transform into a house cat. This effect is similar to the spell polymorph but with a number of key changes.
...
A tibbit can transform from a cat back to her humanoid form as a full-round action. She must wait 1 hour to turn back into a cat after reverting to her humanoid form.
...

So, turning into a cat is moderately quicker than turning back into a humanoid and there's a delay before being able to turn back into a cat. The ellipses in the middle and at the end cover all the rest of the details about the transformation, but I left them out because the actions to transform and the delay before being able to turn back into a cat are what I'm mostly concerned with. What I would like to do, is formulate some sort of racial feat for tibbits that would make it faster to turn from humanoid to cat and vice versa, and to cut down the length of the delay to be able to turn into a cat again. I do sort of like the way that Raptorans (RotW) get their flight in stages based on their HD, so I'm basing this, somewhat, on that. This would mainly be for balance and to make it accessible with just one feat. Here's my initial pass at it:

>Faster Transformation (Racial)
Prerequisites: Tibbit, 3HD.
Benefit: Taking this feat will speed up your changes in form granted by the Feline Transformation ability, and eventually, decrease the delay you must wait before being able to change into cat form.
At 3HD and above, you can change into your cat form as a move action.
At 6HD and above, you can change back into your humanoid form as a standard action.
At 9HD and above, the time you must wait before switching from humanoid form back to cat form is reduced to 10 minutes.
Normal: Normally, changing from humanoid to cat form takes a standard action, while changing from cat form to humanoid form takes a full-round action, and a tibbit must wait 1 hour after transforming into humanoid form before they can turn back into their cat form.

Does this sound reasonable? Overpowered? Underpowered?

Desktop. When I go to the Mod Tools for my sub, it takes me automatically to the Queue. There's used to always be a button to the left of where it says "Queue" at the top, that looked sorta like a door, but also sorta like columns on a spreadsheet. When I would click on that, it'd take me to the mod menu, where I could see the sub rules, settings, mod log, etc. Now, that button rarely shows up, and when it does, it disappears as soon as I click on it and I can no longer get to the mod menu. Is this a change with reddit, or a bug, or am I doing something wrong? I was able to get to the moderator list for my sub and my permissions have not changed, if that matters.

How good do you all think a multiclass would be between like 8 or 9 levels of Dragonfire Adept and probably 1 level of the Shapeshifter Druid from PHB2? I ask, because as I was flipping through the books, I was going over that Druid ACF and though it might be kind of neat to have such a character running around in their Predator form, breathing fire. I'm pretty sure that sort of thing should work as the ACF says you keep your Extraordinary, Supernatural and Spell-like attacks, as long as the form you assume has the requisite body parts. So I can see how the DFA's invocations with somatic components wouldn't function, but the breath weapon clearly should. Am I right about that, though? Would this be a reasonably viable multiclass combo, generally speaking?
