we’ve been led to believe that the children who were sacrificed were born in the dark then sacrificed in the dark, but does that make sense?

the children who were sacrificed all look to be about 9 y/o. this would mean that all of their mothers had them around the same time. it would also mean that they were kept alive underground for about 9 years. for it to make sense, the children would have have to of been born for the purpose of the sacrifice, because why else would the townspeople chose to not only all get pregnant around the same time, but also raise their children that way?

if this is true, then that means that original jade and tabitha chose to have a child who they were going to sacrifice. one, or both, then change their mind.

i suppose it’s possible the miy made a deal with them and played the long game while waiting for them to raise kids for the sacrifice. but why did they wait so long? why not sacrifice them as babies?

my fiancé and i [40f] have been engaged for almost 2 years (together for almost 7). when he asked me to marry him, it was very spontaneous so he did not have a ring. he told me that he would take me to look at rings when he was ready as he wants a longer engagement (which i am ok with) and also wanted to save up.

about 2-3 weeks ago he told me he wanted to take me to look at rings. we went to a jewelry store a few days ago and it was still a little out of his budget (again, totally ok with me, i don’t need some huge diamond or anything) but i noticed he was kind of closed off while looking, like he didn’t want to be there. when i brought this up, he said he didn’t necessarily WANT to buy me a ring as he doesn’t see the point, but he knows i want one.

he’s not having any doubts about being with me, and our relationship is doing better than ever tbh, but my feelings are hurt. should i let it bother me this much? is an engagement ring really not important? i just need some advice bc i feel selfish for wanting one.

this is just a random theory i came up with:

we assume the miy is trying to stop the ritual from being completed. we know that jade <!is murdered by the townspeople in every cycle. what if the miy makes a deal with the rest of the town that if they murder jade, he’ll let everyone else go? it’s been theorized that if you die in town your soul is trapped there. what if the miy does a kind of reset where he drops everyone back off in time to right before they see the tree in the road? no one would have any memory of what happened and anyone who was killed in town would be “restored”. i think it’s also possible that tabitha will need to die in some way as well. them dying in fromville is how they’re able to be reincarnated, which the miy needs to happen so he can keep playing his game, but he does not want them to win. victor claims he saw the miy eating all the people from the last cycle, but we also know he’s not a reliable narrator. i think the biw did something so that victor wouldn’t be sent back like the others, as a way to “cheat” in the next game. i think it’s also possible that he couldn’t be sent back bc he’s a child of tabitha’s reincarnation.!<
