I found a unused cover to Swamp Thing no.8 (2004) on Heritage Auctions, decided to color him to celebrate the late great horror legend. Swipe for Corben's original art.

Those firefighters were true superheros, they gave it all. Went for long walk today in Brooklyn, saw many firefighters in dress blues coming home from Manhattan. Never Forget.

It was released this past Wednesday as $9 88pg regular size comic. It's been out of print for 30 years and goes for at least $100 on the secondary market. Run to your LCS and get this classic Mignola comic.

I inked and colored some crazy Thundarr The Barbarian proposal art from 1980. Here's a six legged goat for the goat of comics, and Narwal/Whale/Shark/Dragon Sea Monster!

Like the title says, I recolored this Herb Trimpe & John Severin, what a team, panel from issue no.131 from 1970. Brighten it up a bunch for pop art feel!

Here's a Kirby Spider-Man I digitally inked and colored. The pencils are are from a sketch he did for his granddaughter Tracy in 1975.

I am currently reading all of Gil Kane's original Hal Jordan stories, I'm about half way through. It is crazy how much he charges by the time he's drawing the Death Of Gwen Stacy a few years later. Anyways I recolored this page from GL16, the title pages would often show you the story climax then page two you'd be back to the beginning. Heritage Auctions has the opening splash page of ToS39 by Don Heck available now, current bid is ~1.15 million with the vig. I don't have that kind of bread, but they have a nice scan up on their website to look at. I also decided to color it, swipe for the original art and the facsimile edition colors.

I recolored Dale Keown's variant cover of The Incredible Hulks no.624 (2011) celebrating Captain America's 70th Anniversary. I wanted to see how Dale's art looked with a more classic color job on two classic characters.

The legendary Neal Adams redid the iconic cover from Silver Surfer no.4, by John & Sal Buscema, for a 2019 Wisconsin Comic Con poster giveaway. The colors were kinda flat, so I redid them, and gave it a "Journey Into Mystery" title as a nod to Thor's first book. Swipe for Neal's inks, the original poster colors, and SS4 cover.

The third page of my recoloring of Barry Windsor-Smith's 1995 Conan vs Rune. The full art for the issue is on Heritage Auctions, and I am going color in my retro pulp-ish style, limited color palette with a dot matrix for blending. From what I understand BWS hated the colors, I have to agree with him, the blacks are too blown out. It was the early days of digital coloring so I give Marvel some slack.
