Neal Adams covers Thor vs Silver Surfer!

The legendary Neal Adams redid the iconic cover from Silver Surfer no.4, by John & Sal Buscema, for a 2019 Wisconsin Comic Con poster giveaway. The colors were kinda flat, so I redid them, and gave it a "Journey Into Mystery" title as a nod to Thor's first book. Swipe for Neal's inks, the original poster colors, and SS4 cover.

BWS - Conan v Rune pg 3, recolor

The third page of my recoloring of Barry Windsor-Smith's 1995 Conan vs Rune. The full art for the issue is on Heritage Auctions, and I am going color in my retro pulp-ish style, limited color palette with a dot matrix for blending. From what I understand BWS hated the colors, I have to agree with him, the blacks are too blown out. It was the early days of digital coloring so I give Marvel some slack. Swipe for his original art and the original colors. I posted pages 1&2 a little while back if you missed them.

Kirby colors on John Severin (p) and Will Elder (i)

If you saw the Steranko's speech at the Kirby street sign ceremony, he mentioned being amazed at Kirby's coloring abilities. This is the original art from the cover Prize Comics Western no.89 (1951) that Kirby colored and displayed in his kitchen. The printed cover is from Fantagraphics The John Severin Western, a great book for Severin and Golden Age fans.

Barry Windsor-Smith - Conan vs Rune, pg 1 & 2

I recently started coloring BWS Conan vs Rune from 1995. From what I understand he wasn't happy how it was printed. I am playing around with just using 12 colors and painting with a dot matrix to give it an old school feel of being flat while having texture and depth. Swipe for BWS original art and zoom to see the coloring method. You can find all the original art from the story on Heritage Auctions if your curious. I eventually want to color the whole book as an exercise.

Like the title says, I recolored a panel from FF no.82, Joe Sinnott on inks. I have strong dislike of Marvel's colors on classic Kirby so here's mine attempt to make the King sing a little extra. Swipe for the original art, the yellow & green that hurt my eyes, and a zoom of my faux classic coloring.
