falling asleep RIGHT after session?

has anyone else ever fallen asleep within 10 minutes of their session ending? i practiced last night for about 15 min as usual, admittedly it was a more intense session, then laid back to really feel the benefits… and then woke up hours later with my lights still on. i’ve read normally about the inverse, where people have a tough time falling asleep after their session. has anyone else experienced this?

when to start my job search

hi, i’m planning to move to the city in may of next year. i have a bachelor’s in neuroscience and a few years of experience in healthcare admin and ambulatory tech work. i see a lot of people saying don’t move without a job, but also that finding a job without an city address is impossible. i’m looking for remote jobs but i don’t have high hopes given the state of the market. when should i start to apply for jobs? it feels too early almost a year ou🌟

is subletting the only way

i’m moving from upstate ny in may/june 2027. is subletting to start inevitable, or do i have a chance at renting? and any tips on how to get a good sublet would be greatly appreciated. i have a credit score over 750, but i won’t have a job lined up, just savings. i could get a guarantor if necessary. thanks 🫡

how to start/join a conversation

i struggle with social anxiety and always feel like i might be “intruding” on a conversation, even when my friends are having it right in front of me. this leads to a lot of awkward silent standing around, which i know is worse. do you just… join and start talking? is that rude?

i know i have to initiate more, i know that taking the first step is the biggest hurdle to connection, but i literally don’t know what to say or do

healthcare jobs?

i’m (24M) strongly considering moving to brooklyn next fall. i have a bachelor’s in neuroscience and several years of experience doing low level healthcare admin work like reception, being an ambulatory tech, surgery scheduling, etc. i’m wondering if anyone here is in healthcare and knows what the market is like? i know “healthcare is always hiring” but i also know we’re in a recession. thank you!

it’s just not fair. why did it have to be multiple people, multiple incidents, why did any of it have to happen at all? i was assaulted four times in five months, within that time raped twice by two different people.

i don’t want this to be the rest of my life. it sounds so childish to say, but it’s what i get stuck on. they don’t have to fee like this, only me. i have a hysterectomy in a few hours and i should be ecstatic, and all i can think about is how the rest of my life will be randomly waking up in the middle of the night and sobbing over what happened to me. wondering if i should move out of this city to get away from all of them, and lose my support network in the process. worrying that it’ll happen again and i’ll shatter and not be able to pick the pieces back up. a body stuck always looking for the next threat.

i don’t want this to be forever, but it just is. broken.
