No response from Vinted in over a month on a suspended return

I sold a dress a few weeks ago. It is a delicate vintage dress and I was very upfront about any damage on it, which included some run dye. The buyer opened a return claiming the zip was broken. I stupidly hadn't filmed a video of the dress before sending it, so accepted the return to avoid any fuss. However when it was returned, it was clear that the dress had been improperly washed. Stains were gone whereas the dye had run more, and crucially the zip was massively warped and clearly broke in the wash. When compared to the listing photos, it is obvious that the zip closed neatly with no warping. I asked the buyer if they'd washed it and got no response, then they said that they just "hung it in the sun to air out" lol. I have messaged vinted about it seperately and was just told that I already had an open ticket about this issue and to wait. What can I do?

How bad is the traffic on Leighton Road in Northfields? What’s it like living there?

I’ve seen a property on Leighton Road W13 that seems good but have read on the Ealing website that it’s a notorious cut through road, though a width restriction has been placed on it. Ive been down the road a few times on the way to see other houses (on foot) and I can’t remember thinking it was too busy but I probably wasn’t paying much attention. any insights on what it’s like to live there?

Those who breastfed for 12+ months, how did you stop breastfeeding to sleep?

I still breastfeed my 12 (almost 13) month old. I feed her once before her first nap, then not again until bedtime and a few times overnight. She sleeps in a sidecar bed, so sort of co-sleeping. We are trying to stop feeding to sleep at night so her father usually puts her to sleep but it doesn’t always work, especially if we are not at home. For her second nap she falls asleep in the pram. Her father can put her to sleep for her main nap by reading to her but with me, its usually feeding. Sometimes that doesn’t work and I stroke her back until she falls asleep. Overnight she might wake and not want to feed and then back strokes also work. However, it’s been a loooong time since I’ve put her down for a nap without feeding st all.

how did you transition to it? She’s too young for it to be explained but I’m dreading her waking up in the night and crying because I refuse to feed her :( But I’m keen to stop by 18 months or sooner!

Did your 12 month old play with baby dolls? Any 1st birthday gift suggestions?

I’m a little stuck for first birthday gifts!

We currently don’t have space for a Pikler set or a toddler tower. I wanted to splash out on some Grimm’s blocks but they seem to be sold out everywhere. my daughter showed some interest in baby dolls at a play cafe at ten months and I wonder if it’s worth getting her a baby doll with a stroller, but a lot of them say they’re for age 3+? I feel like it could also be helpful for her when learning to walk as she can push the stroller along?

Anyway i would love some suggestions! I know that this is the first birthday she really won’t care about but I’m feeling a little stressed as I would love to get her something she will love!

Forest Hill in SE23?

We are looking to buy a house in London, ideally a victorian or Edwardian 4 bed with a decent garden. We’re looking around the windrush line, and have missed out on some properties closer to the city in Brockley and Honor Oak but have found a place we like in Forest Hill. Its the Honor Oak side, fairly close to the Horniman Museum too. I know location is the most important thing when buying a property so I’d love to know if anyone has any experience of the area? We have a baby and hope to have another one soon and are planning to stay in whatever property we buy for 10+ years. I wfh annd my partner commutes to London bridge. All I seem to see online is that it’s leafy and quiet, walking around some parts seem nice and others are quite run down, especially the area around the station. Would love some insights!

edit: just to be more specific - I think I’d just like insights on whether it’s a solidly good area or “up and coming and has been forever” as someone put it!

I think also some insights on the location, I think I was describing the area incorrectly, we are looking in the slightly cheaper area between the north circular and Perry Vale, as opposed to the area above The Horniman!

Those doing lazy EC - when did you switch to cloth diapers, if at all?

we have been doing lazy EC since she was five months, putting her on the potty before and after naps, after meals, and before and after going out. we sign for what it is and do it in the same area. she’s in nappies full time otherwise with some nappy free time but there’s no structure to the nappy free time, just ten minutes when I can.

We catch most poos but not all. We can read for cues but don’t catch them all. She knows what the potty is for and definitely tries every time we put her on it and almost always does a wee. I would like to switch to cloth diapers mostly because we are in a heatwave in the UK and I just think she must be so sweaty in diapers! However i really don’t want to deal with the mess of poo in cloth diapers!

do I wait until we are catching all her poos to switch or do I just bite the bullet and switch and hope she learns faster? Or do I wait until she starts signing or communicating her need to go a bit bette? Any tips at all?

ORDER A FAN. DO IT NOW.

If they’re a sold out, do it for the next inevitable heat wave! And not just one of those crap ancient ones! get a nice modern quiet one you can use all night. Better yet, get two fans, so one can be facing out of the window and one facing the room so one pulls the hot air out and brings the cool air in at night.

London instructors- how much can I expect to earn?

I’d like to become qualified but it’s pretty pricey and fitness isnt my career, it would be a side hustle at most. I’d like to get an idea of how much can expect to earn so I know how long it’ll take to recoup the cost of getting certified. can anyone give me an idea of how much the London studios pay?

Toddler towers - when and which to get?

we are currently in a one bed flat that we are quickly outgrowing We will be moving into a house before the end of the year but I think we need to be mindful of purchases that take up a lot of space. my girl is ten months next week and is pulling up to stand and cruising on furniture. is now too soon to get a toddler tower? we cook every day and I think she would love to hang out and see what we are doing, and it’ll get her out from under our feet, but is it too soon? theyre quite hefty so I don’t want to get one only for it to take up space, unused, for months!

also, would appreciate any recommendations!

I had a very odd experience today with an older lady in a coffee shop. It went like this:

(to my baby girl): She’s so sweet, does she look like her father?
me: Yes a bit
her: Is she the first born?

me : Yes she is

her: First born daughters normally look like their fathers. I was the spitting image of my father

me: She looked like him as a newborn, but babies change a lot

her: because she doesn’t look like you at all. (leaves)

Absolutely bizarre! For context I have darker features than my daughter (I’m Slavic with dark hair and green eyes and she has light brown hair and blue eyes, but she has my lips and cheeks). It was such a bizarre interaction and I genuinely cannot fathom what possessed her to say that? It also seems like a thing that happens quite a lot to mothers and I have no idea why?
