To get the stripe isn't very complicated and it is based on John Montroll methods. What do you guys think?
I think it would be funny for a short gag of showing of Benjamin Jacob "Ben" Grimm aka "The Thing" of the Fantastic 4 as a Volkswagen Thing.
Im not the only one who went to see the Gridlock Volkswagen Car show on Governors Island. I have seen Volkswagen Things in the city, but these two were in such pristine condition, they looked new.
This is the best one I made so far.
This was a practice attempt for when I made it with an orange and black paper.
One of my favorites.
This one is a lot of fun.
Its a beautiful beetle and was in prestine condition compared to some of the other beetles there that looked like they escaped a junk yard.
Today in NYC on Governors Island there was a car show of vintage Volkswagens. This 13 window bus, the owner said it was from Brazil and they took the head light from a Chevy and made the cyclops headlight and that it was a thing in Brazil. This is the type of Bus I want the 13 window one, but like it doesn't have to be a camper, unless it only comes like that.
So, some of the people here were pretty bitter about my review of "Manhunt In Space" and I am really shocked how some grown adults can be so petty over a movie we already know was bad and I was agreeing with how bad it was.
However, I digress. Tormented, was actually not as bad as most of the movies they were forced to watch. The plot was pretty believable. Moreover, the acting was better than most. Though the sound of the girl Sandy sounded so tinny. I liked the practical and special effects for the most part. But when Tom is holding the head of Vai the prop was pretty basic.
Though, I thought Sandy was going to be pushed from the lighthouse by the ghost as punishment. But, when it was revealed she saw Tom kill the boat captain that was going to blackmail him and then at the end Tom made it pretty clear he was thinking of pushing Sandy to her death. As a result, when Tom got pushed off by Vai's ghost, that was pretty nice.
Additionally, the practical effects in the church of the candles going out as well as the wilting flowers was well done. However, the seaweed transformation was weird and awkward. This one was alot of fun. I like this one like the Screaming Skull its fun to watch.
This movie was so weird, like "Science Jargon" about the cold light. The names were so boring and I had a hard time keeping track from the ordinary ones and the ones they tried to make "Space Like". The villainess was like Cleolanta and it was said different by every actor. Also the villainess wanted the space pirate killed and never went through with it. They never seemed to be in any danger at times because they were able to get out of it quickly. The ending was so sudden "we'll blast those ships away"
The tonal shifts of that movie are so damn jarring. Most of all after the girl "Baby" who dies of a miscarriage they go back to singing and dancing. Moreover, the song and dance numbers had music and instruments that were not present in the footage, so where was that coming from. It just makes me think of those youtube videos where people take the music out of a music video and its just the sounds of people dancing and moving. That would have been a more accurate portrayal of how their song and dance numbers actually sounded like. The movie got so dark I half expected the song and dance numbers to be hallucinations of the delirious farm staff. The goofy kid with glasses looks like one of the kids from those "Teenagers" film.
This is the best one I have made so far.
The first Satoshi Kamiya model I ever learned how to make
I have had Satoshi Kamiya's volume 1 for a couples years now and I have only made a few models from the book. Volume 2 even less. Volume 3 I only made the penguin chick. Now, I have Volume 4 and I see how stagnant I have become in my origami studies. I have paper, but many of the models I make are ones I can complete in a under and hour. I have to buckle down and make the ones that take as long as a Wagnarian Opera. I have many other books I haven't completed.
