LG 77” C6H or higher level 75” TCL such as the QM8L/QM9K/QM8K?

I was looking at TVs for my semi bright living room and have been on the Mini-LED train for the last couple of weeks and have been waiting for Labor Day/Black Friday deals to pull the trigger. But now I have the opportunity to buy the C6H for around $2,000 and the TCLs around $1,500. Which would you do? $2,000 is a lot of money so I would love to hear if you’d go with that.

It would be in the living room with a bay window on the side of the tv, not straight on. I’m worried about the C6H inconsistencies I’ve read, but would love to hear your thoughts. TIA!!

Would you pull the trigger on this or wait for a 2026 Mini LED?

Was looking at 2026 mini leds in many different brands but then I saw I was eligible for the LG partner store. Is this a crazy deal or kind of regular since it is a 2025? TIA!

Help a brother out, give me some TV recommendations!

If you had $1,000-$1,500 to spend on a TV, what would you get? See below for additional information.

- Living room
- Bay window in the room so it gets decent light
- Looking at probably 75 inches
- Don’t care about brand

Thank you!

Moving in 2 months after our closing date, any advice?

We are set to close on August 5th and are planning to move October 5th (2 months). We are doing this because it works best with our work schedules and we have our rental until October 31st. It’s pretty move in ready other than a couple of small interior projects like painting doors and putting up shelves. So it would practically be sitting there for two months.

Any advice on maintenance tips or things we should do with those two months? I like to think it’s the equivalent of 8 weekend projects we could do! TIA!

Reminder: Start looking now at industry roles now if you want to be out of public by next busy season

I know it is summer and public accounting is chill and you love your job right now, but remember in 6 months you are going to wake up and hate everything about your job. Dust off that resume, apply apply apply, and be picky because this is a major life change.

I was lucky enough to find an industry role right before last busy season, but I had to work half my busy season before I quit. Don't be like me. I started applying late in October so I did not give myself enough time, I just got lucky.

Backing out of an contract opinion

Other realtors, do you get mad at clients when they back out of a contract? There is a clause in the contract to back out after inspection, but the inspection wasn’t terrible, but the buyer has bad feelings. Have you ever been angry towards a client in a situation like this after you put in a lot of work in negotiations but they still back out?

Do I need to cancel the contract? (See below)

Just got a contract accepted for a home. I have about 70k saved in total liquid cash. I am using 26k for down payment, planning about 10k for closing costs. 36k was planned to be spent to get in the home. We just had inspections and turns out the roof, AC, furnace, and water heater need to be replaced. I have some family discounts that I can get these done in about 30k. That would mean I spent 66k before I even move a piece of furniture in the house leaving me with 4k in cash. That’s crazy right?? I’m not sure the seller would help with any of the costs. TIA for the advice!

Any advice for buying a house with a quick closing?

Just got a contract accepted today with inspections tomorrow, and a closing date tentatively July 3 (18 days). It was a huge factor for the seller. Any advice? Inspections tomorrow, appraisal coming soon.

Would you be mad if you were proposed to on a weekend trip to another wedding?

Me and my girlfriend are going to a wedding in a really cute small town. We are arriving midday Saturday and will be hanging out and exploring town for the day. The wedding is on a Sunday evening. The groom is a college roommate that I am not close with and my girlfriend is barely friends with either the bride or groom, so she’s not necessarily locked in on this wedding like I assume a lot of women are for their friends wedding.

Would you be disappointed/mad to be proposed to on that Saturday night? I found this very beautiful place to propose and I want to take advantage of it. The worry I have is that the reason we are in that town is for the wedding, and wouldn’t want her to feel like a second thought, or that I wasn’t willing to plan a trip solely for her. TIA for your thoughts!

There is a group of about 12 kids and 6 parents who play outside our house everyday for about 2 hours from 5:30-7:30. We live in the entrance to a cul-de-sac and the families live down the road (not in the cul-de-sac).

The kids will ride their bikes all around the area, specifically in our yards and very close to our cars. They are loud and their parents don’t watch them very well. The parents will grab lawn chairs and sit outside on our walkway and on the sidewalk in front of our house. The people don’t know us, have never introduced themselves to us, they just started within the last few weeks when the weather got nice. We have two dogs who will bark non-stop and driven and my wife insane. Also, we are a younger couple, not a crabby elderly couple who hates life. But we think it’s incredibly rude. We have tried sending some signals, like going out to wash our cars whe they are out there, or opening our windows so the could hear the barking. This has only led them to give us dirty looks any chance they get. We haven’t tried talking to them because we don’t want to cause a conflict.

So today, I put out a large sprinkler in front of our house. I made sure it just barely sprayed the edge of the road so it covered our whole yard and ensured no one could comfortably sit outside our house. Is that rude of me? AITAH?

I just can’t stand them being in front of my house for hours when they could play in their own yard.

TIA!
