Love is found in the peeling of an orange

I hate peeling oranges. I hate getting the peel under my nail, and how it squirts juice or orange peel oil. I hate how sticky the juice is, and I hate how they make my hands smell like oranges even after washing. I hate the seeds and the stringy bits. They usually don’t taste good enough to me to make the juice worth the squeeze, so to speak.
I had a hell of a few days, doing a staycation with my husband and 4 yr old in the big city I’ve lived an hour away from my whole life. Husband is working, so just me and kiddo really. Kiddo and I had a really hard time the day before yesterday , with a big meltdown when trying to evacuate for a tornado warning. On the stairs, while I was trying to carry him and a stroller down flights of stairs by myself- he wouldn’t walk just wanted to sit and cry. Rough day. Yesterday though…We took stinky loud public transportation, and my kiddo did great, stayed close to me and got in and out of stroller as needed to do stairs. We got caught in the rain and absolutely soaked through our raincoats on the way to the aquarium. Kiddo did great, I had some dry clothes for him but not for me. Our shoes stayed wet all day. He accidentally splashed fish water all down my pants legs and shoes at the touch tank. I didn’t freak out, but my feet were wet ALL day. We spent hours at the aquarium. Lunch in the aquarium cafeteria.
He wanted an orange. And I peeled it for him.

Bit of an odd request- fragrance oils to scent other products that aren’t awful?

I’m big into indie nail polish, and as such, oil my cuticles pretty obsessively. Lots of brands have scented cuticle oils, but they all seem to use the screechy, nose burning scents that had me thinking I hated perfume most of my life. The others seem to use essential oils to scent, which I’m also not a fan of.

Does anyone know where I can acquire something to scent my own cuticle oil so I can enjoy a lil sensory treat that doesn’t burn my nose hairs out? I’ve purchased a couple of oils meant to scent soap but found the same screechy issue.

Tl;dr
Has anyone here used a perfume from their collection to scent an oil or lotion? Or know where to get fragrance products that aren’t harsh and super synthetic smelling?

I need an app to link up women who are single parenting while married, especially SAHM

I’m just rambling after reading another post about a crap husband, and dealing with my own for three years. Like let’s do fun activities with our kids while our husbands play golf or drink or game or whatever shit they do to avoid family time. We can batch cook and clean together, while the kids, ideally, play together.
I don’t know. It just seems like there’s so many of us with no village to speak of, that got trapped with neglectful, if not downright abusive men.
We then get blamed for our choice in partner, even though it’s basically a trope for men to do a bait and switch and completely change post marriage or post baby. Can’t leave because no family, and have been a sahm, and it takes TIME to get your feet under yoh while being the primary parent and it seems like people get so impatient that you won’t (can’t) just leave- let’s work on our exit plans together… And I know people don’t wanna hear me bitch about my husband constantly, and I don’t really want to! I want to build new connections and an emotional life outside my husband but not working outside the home makes that so hard.
Just a ramble I’ll likely delete. I’m just tired of being lonely, and feeling ostracized.

Shipping single plate

How would yall ship a single stamping plate most cost effectively? US based. Bubble mailers seem like too much, but everything I’ve read says they would jam up the sorting machine if they’re put in a paper envelope. Would that still be the case with a cardboard mailer? I suppose I can go to the post office or ups or fedex and ask, just wanted to see if the great collective here had any experience in this.

My first two projects

Mushroom is 1 and sheep is 2. My husband got me some kits for Mother’s Day and I’ve been quite enjoying the process, and the tactile sensations of working with the material.
Project number three is in the works and I’m figuring out how to “grab” the fibers to pull them into the design to create more definition.
Does anyone have a favorite place to acquire supplies? I’ve been looking at felted sky and the prices seem pretty good!
