Context: Iem Newtown/uem, btech cse (AI)

I genuinely can't find any placement data regarding the course I was allotted or any seniors in this branch, I'm being told that placements do take place but how much % of students get placed? What are the criteria to sit for placement or internships?

Stupid of me to ask but if I study cse core syllabus online will it be of any help...

Parents already did full admission not sure if i can back out from this now either

I'm still debating whether I'll commit to this college or not, parents paid semester fees despite my attempts at convincing them and now the admission office keeps telling me to buy books and uniform immediately but I want to wait until I give wbjee exam and see if how I do

Did any anybody give Xavier's engineering admission test in April?? How was the paper and what level of questions came???

My parents forced me into a college in btech cs specialisation in ai, the cost seems unreasonable to me honestly, it's 9.45lkh for the course fees itself plus additional costs will culminate in the end, we aren't that rich to spend this much but my parents won't listen as I couldn't clear jee but I have state exam left but they won't listen anyway

It does sort of have decent placements I guess? As far as I've heard and I am ready to grind but seriously having doubts as I don't really have knowledge in coding just boards level stuff

I did manage 97% in boards but this damn college isn't giving any scholarships or being clear about it, I could get scholarships in St Xavier's in other courses or if I clear their btech exam but again that's in June and my admission is already done here, can't figure a way out. I fight my parents everyday as this is quite a financial burden and my parents are quite old and will probably retire when I'm in college so the financial burden will be on me and I'm quite scared i won't be able to keep up

Should I still continue with this? I don't think I'll get any better college than this in btech even through state exam which is why they don't want me to drop out from here, really confused man can't even take a drop I ain't allowed for it nor am I being allowed for courses such as B.sc

For online marksheet or marksheet upload in general am i supposed to upload digilocker one?? Do I gotta sign it by principal or something I read somewhere but forgot

Also do I need to print something immediately?? I saw "printing facility required" don't have one at home

I already know I ain't getting shi but would like to know any potential courses I could be eligible for (category included)

So I'm a 12th pass out this year, still not a confirmed college but going for btech in ai or cse probably, and I've been told about certificate courses in ai and ds by colleges or the IITM bs data science or bits pilani ai ds courses.

My doubt is do I have to enroll in these courses immediately??? I was seeing application deadlines and it's all in may or batches have even started, can I not do these after i enroll into a college in first year?? Or must I enroll now as all eligibility criteria are 12th passout, also confused between the benefits of a certificate course and a full fledged degree, which will be more beneficial and does the certificate hold up in a resume? I don't think I could handle the full 4 year courses as it could get hectic and a bit expensive for me but if it's really worth it then I'll consider it.

Also some suggestions for such degree/certificate courses will be appreciated

Do I need to wait for physical marksheet to fill up the form? I started filling then realised it said I need the final marksheet but then it also said if it's not out yet I can give the online one, is screenshot valid or do I just play it safe and wait for the physical one

Uh so isc results came out and I had done provisional admission but I'm unsure if i really want to take the course but at the same time I'm not gonna get good at wbjee so I don't wanna sit with 0 seats and end up getting nothing in the end. They told 3 days after boards results full fees needs to be paid but I don't really know what to do anymore. So if I do pay now for a guaranteed seat but then not take classes later on could I get refund?

Also dumb doubt but it's 2nd day after results today I can't go today could I go on Monday instead, I could go tomorrow but it's a Sunday idk if they'll be open

I'm very unsure of what to really pursue as a degree man. My interests lies in chemistry and research but I also have interest in computer and wish to learn more of it but I'm much more knowledgeable in chemistry and better at it too.

I'm being advised to opt for engineering instead but I'm really scared that I won't survive in the job market in the future as my base is bad as I wasn't serious enough for jee.

myquals: ISC 97%(best of 4), 95.8%(pcm) with 99 in chem and computer both.

Can I get St Xavier's or other colleges with these? I'm also open to advice for degree suggestions itself.

I will try for wbjee too but I doubt I'll get good rank so I want to keep B.sc as a option too. I'm ready to work hard in the future but I don't want to feel hopeless and burnt out throughout my college life either.

Also what could be the career options if I do take B.sc ? .

Does anybody know if St Xavier's kolkata or calcutta university began taking applications for bsc or not?? If so what's the last date I don't wanna miss out but I can't really understand the information online. Jadavpur uni for entrance too

Pls don't tell "don't take admission here" stuff first of all I probably won't in the end I just need to know if I can give multiple times or not because my parents are adamant that I give it a 2nd time for a better branch. I gave exam in January and I took provisional admission in cse ai(uem) through counselling. Am i eligible to give the exam in may again? Will they deny me counselling knowing I took provisional admission already? If anyone has given it twice or knows pls do tell

I have taken provisional admission in cse ai uem, is it any good?? Any seniors studying in this branch can you tell how is it? Does it have placements? And are the teachers good?

I'm also preparing for wbjee and vitee but I doubt I'll get anything decent through them, should I take admission here?
