Sunborn or Elliott

I'll be going to a wedding at the Cathedral of The Holy Trinity and am weighing up options for where to stay. I've stayed on the Sunborn previously and thought it was beautiful but the Elliott is closer and seems similarly priced.

I appreciate that most people on the group live in Gibraltar so probably aren't staying in either, but I would appreciate any advice or input on where to stay.

ETA: thank you, seems as though the Elliott is the best option and I can wear heels to the wedding without worrying about too much walking!

Is this a realistic Itinerary for March 2027?

Is this a realistic Itinerary for March 2027?

My partner has always dreamed of seeing the fjords, we've looked at cruise options but I know he'll hate the constant business on board so I'm looking at alternatives, how does this plan sound?

*day 1 - land in Oslo and explore the city for the day, stay overnight in Oslo

*day 2 - full day boat tour of Oslofjord. Stay overnight in Oslo

*day 3 - Flam railway. Stay overnight in Flam

*day 4 - Cruise of Fjords, waterfalls and Stalheim Road. Train to Bergen. Stay in Bergen overnight

*day 5 - Day in Bergen

*day 6 - fly from Bergen

Provisionally, I was looking at 24th March to 29th March but I don't know how much of an impact Easter will have on activities, please can you let me know if you have any knowledge of this.

I am happy to change dates but would probably push back to April, rather than bring forward.

Why isn't it nice?

Talking to my 7 yr old niece at weekend, who told me that I looked pregnant (nope, just a bit more of a belly after my holiday), and i told her that isn't a nice thing to say.

She asked why it isn't a nice thing to say and I couldn't for the life of me think of an appropriate response beyond, we shouldn't comment on people's bodies.

I didn't want her to think being over weight is bad but that is essentially why I think its not a nice thing to say... its an absolute minefield!

NB. This is a child who hasn't any confidence issues with her appearance, I asked if she had chocolate or her face or a freckle and she proudly told me it was a beauty mark; she also tells everyone she only has one eyebrow and I told her there was a famous artist who had only eyebrow, she asked if she could be a famous artist, I said she could if she wanted, she mulled it over and decided she'd rather be a doctor or a hairdresser.

Norwegian Fjords

I want to book a cruise 3rd - 10th April next year with P&O on Iona.

I've never been on a cruise and am looking for any information, tips or advice that you would give to a total newbie or any experiences that you've had on similar cruises or the same boat.

I know this is a bit vague but, its a lot of money for me to spend on a holiday and I want to know as much as I can before I book.

Liverpool o2 academy

I've not been to the academy for about 10 years and am wondering how horrible it is going to be in this weather?!

I'm there on Friday and want to mentally prepare lol

My tortoise came back!

My pet tortoise escaped 2 weeks ago from his enclosure in the back garden and after a visit from a bird of prey to the garden this week, we thought that he must have been eaten (or dropped on a philosopher's head)

I've just gone outside to find him strolling across the patio!

Bought something from Tesco, shows on the receipt as Tzatziki but didn't buy any Tzatziki!

I'm guessing the bar code was entered into the system incorrectly but I have not idea what it was, any ideas?
