Looking for input and opinions. Looking for a 1911 w/ night sights and a rail for a light. Not super worried about manufacturer because I’m willing to work on it but looking for a good solid base. Right now it looks like the tisas raider is the best bang for your buck but I don’t think it has night sights. Not looking for a colt or other high end 1911. Already have a couple and am looking for one I’m not worried about beating up but that I can trust and that takes standard spec parts. Not sure about Springfield, I know they have some decent options but I think they are all over 1k.

Does anyone know anything about the payment counts being off? I consolidated my loans before the deadlines for everything to transfer over as far as counts go but they still aren’t there? I have talked to student aid several times about it and they say it should be there even though it’s not there now and submitted a reconsideration request to trigger a manual recount. Are the counts still updating?

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max that is working perfectly fine. Only issue is I have a busted camera lense and a scratched camera. Has anyone replaced the camera in one and what were the actual issues? I have no issues with taking things apart, replacing components, soldering etc. probably not worth putting a new camera in but has anyone done a used camera module? And will iOS 26 actually let you install it?

I am going to upgrade eventually, just trying to get a little more time out of this one before I upgrade.

Where is the best place to get the information/spread sheet for tpms disable on a 2008 expedition? I’m just wanting to check into a few things, disable tpms, and maybe activate Bambi mode.

I had a quick question for the brain trust here. I’ve done a bit of welding in the past but it was before the fancy auto darkening helmets. I know I can trust them but I’m on the paranoid side, comes from everything I’ve done. My question is about safety glasses. I’ve been doing some research and see they make safety glasses rated to protect your eyes from arc flash. Obviously not a replacement for your hood but I was wondering if anyone had opinions on them and what the best choice would be for a hobbyist?
