Hello community,
I am planning a trip with my partner to visit Asia, we will start in Japan (Tokyo- Kyoto), stop by Vietnam (Hanoi- Tam Coc) and end in Thailand (main stay is in Bangkok). We are from Mexico so visiting again is very unlikely. We would like to make the most of this trip and part of the goal is to visit some beautiful beaches while in Thailand.

We are staying 10 nights, end of november to early december.

We thought about going to Krabi but considering we are already doing a lot of flights, we would prefer to visit close enought to Bangkok that you can take ground transportation. Also, hotel stays and day excursions seem expensive in Krabi compared to other places.

The main island we have been seeing is Koh Samet. It looks nice, small but easy to explore and with good beaches. However we have heard many different opinions, mainly people saying it is overcrowded on weekends and very polluted with trash along the roads etc. Would it be worth it to stay there 3-4 nights?

We would also love to visit mountain areas, nature reserves, waterfalls, rivers or ancient sites, maybe day trips that leave from Bangkok and come back same day.

Any advice is welcome, as is comments on Koh Samet or other beaches accesible from Bangkok.

Hello everyone, I know a lot of people read Hazard books asap. I just finished book 16 of the Straight Guys series (Just a bit crushed) and would love to discuss.

I read it in less than 24 hours 😅 so I’m not gonna say its bad… but its starting to feel like the decline of a great series?
I mean, getting 16 books in with a specific trope is already hard, I really applaud her for her creativity and she can 10000% write bomb sex scenes. Once I got into the groove of the book I enjoyed it but it wasn’t there for me like in other previous books.

Specifically I always loved Xavier and Sage, Rutledge and Shawn, Zach and Tristan, Roman and Luke, Dominic and Sam and Nick and Tyler (this last couple has a lot of people on the fence which I understand).
A couple of books in the series before book 9 never really clicked for me (Ryan and James for one and Vlad and Sebastian took a couple of rereads for me to get it more).

Book 10 for me was a complete DNF , ive tried several times and just can’t, it feels “fake” in a way I can’t describe but just ludicrous and I can’t suspend belief enought to finish it. (I know I sound contradictory because several other books are just as ludicrous lol, they just worked for me I guess.)

Unfortunately from book 10 onwards I feel there hasn’t been as STRONG of a couple for me, and it feels more repetitive and like the characters themselves have less depth to them. I also feel they were set in more “normal everyday” scenarios and jobs (once Gabe showed up a bit less due to the fact he was a huge soccer player) but now every single books is like “the super rich sheik” or “the mafia boss” or in this case “F1 champion and billionaire” and it kinda makes me want a simpler storyline that I can relate a bit more to.

This post has no real intention other than expressing my opinions and asking about everyone elses. Would love to talk about this more and if others see the same things I do or not. Friendly discussion! Really hope I dont come off as overly critical or yucking peoples yums, just wanted to share my take as a long time AH fan. This is probably my most re-read series for comfort reads!

Scott came off like a douche for outing the woman and attempting to embarrass her and I felt it was to try to show how progressive or whatever Cam could be but come off just weird and gave me an ick feeling.!<

Hi hello to all!

As the title states, I just did a Heartstopper binge angain and I loooove how Kit Connor embodies the character of Nick Nelson. But for obvious reasons it gives me the ICK to think of those characters involved in the kind of smutty scenes I enjoy from adult novels.

I would love any recs to help get this itch out of my system. Mainly my focus is on how the character is : super wholesome and a golder retriever attitude, is very protective of MC2 (hates to see him bullied etc etc), has an uncontrollable attraction to MC2 (hearts in his eyes, cant help but hug and want to kiss when he is near).

Id rather avoid too syrupy sweet characters, I enjoy that Nick is loveable but is also just enjoying hanging out with Charlie, its not insta love nor is it uber sweet and over the top with compliments etc. They rib each other, are competitive and such.

Hard nos: omegaverse, fantasy.

Would prefer contemporary but historical is ok.

I WILL PREFACE THIS TO SAY I AM FREAKING THE FUCK OUT. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!

I have a very sensitive excel doc that I work on exclusively on my usb configured to FAT 32 to switch between mac and pc use. (I know that is not the best use for it, just bear with me please for the solutions).

I worked on the file a bit on my Mac, saved the file, ejected it correctly using finder. A couple of hours later, I connected it to my Pc (running on windows 11 which I know I need to update). It opened up to the last version of my file (the previous one to my last update). I wondered what happened, ejected it and went to the Mac again. Now the computer doesnt even recognize the files in the usb, just shows up blank in Finder. Wondering what the hell. A quick search suggested that I use First aid in disk utility, did that, recovered access to all of my files EXCEPT FOR THE ONE I WAS WORKING ON.

Now when I try to open the file it says "cannot open due to file extension" or something like that and I cannot get it to open, even with a previous copy etc. I ejected, went to the PC again, same thing, cannot for the life of me open the file.

I already tried to use a file repair program Tenorhsare 4DDiG, tried opening it using Libre Office, which 1) didnt work and 2) opens a completely empty file.

I am seriously crashing right now. Its at least 5 months of solid data on there that I cannot at all redo, it would literally be impossible.

Please help!! My trusty computer repair person will come tomorrow to check on it, not sure if I should stop fucking around with it or try anything else. She has already let me know that it will likely be hard to recover because Macs have that issue when working directly from a usb and not a file saved to the computer
