10 minute dinner ideas?

Hi all,

I did slow carb last year for 6 months and shed 25 pounds. I started again this week.

My new class schedule gives me exactly 10 minutes of break between 4 and 730 (during which I’ll be moving from one building to another). I don’t want to eat after 730.

Old me would just have a burrito but I’m wondering if any of you know of something hand-held and slow carb compliant that would have enough protein?

I can snack on carrots and celery afterward, but my body is accustomed to a decently nourishing meat and beans meal around 6.

thanks !

Reading The Great Glass Elevator and came across this. Was Da Liu a Roald Dahl fan? (Dark forest spoiler)

I felt verrry surprised to see this shape-shifting Vermicious Knid attacking the elevator. 🧐

This illustration is by Quentin Blake.

Question about ending of Brutalist (spoilers)

I thought this seemed strongly indicated by the film, but I have not read about it anywhere else.

Zsofia’s adult daughter at the end is Harry’s kid.

She is played by young Zsofia (Raffey Cassidy) but slightly made up - they added the distinctive eyebrows of Harry (Joe Alwyn).

This also explains why Zsofia rushed to get married right after her encounter with Harry when she previously gave no sign of interest in starting a family, so the husband would believe he got her pregnant.

Does this make sense?

Brosnan’s Bonds free from the library

The discs are almost untouched, too.

Does anyone else miss school 😂

I am keeping busy and working an 9-5 but after all the stress of finals I feel like I have nothing in my brain to replace it with. I feel aimless and bored. I miss school.

just me or anyone else?

It was an interesting wide ranging 2.5-hour conversation. They don’t agree on everything so there was some tension over Elon Musk early on which I found interesting.

Overall this would be a good intro to Scott for someone who doesn’t know his work, he covers all his usual topics but was more persuasive and charismatic than usual and he really makes you hope he can make the leap from podcaster to actually helping set economic or tax policy (particularly to help young people).

did anyone else listen and what did you think? Link
