Can you get underneath fabric on back of seat without effing it up?

Trying to address a rattle (I'm crazy) in the back side of the 3rd row seat (red circle). I see I could pull the fabric up easily in the lower right corner (light blue circle) but seems like it would be near impossible to put it back together tightly and neatly like it is now.

Can you get underneath the 3rd row seat fabric without effing it up?

Trying to address a rattle inside the seat on the back side. (I'm crazy) Can you get underneath the black fabric without it being impossible to put back together again? I see I can pull it out in the corner (light blue) but looks nearly impossible to put back in so it fits tightly again.

Do dealership employees handle annoying rattles differently than regular customers?

Dunno exactly which community this fits with but figure people here have an idea. A curiosity question: how does someone who actually works at a dealership deal with small weird rattles? Like a Mazda sales rep with a CX-5 or a Ford finance manager with an Explorer. If their own car had a dumb interior rattle (something harmless, just very annoying and shouldn't be rattling), like sunroof piece or small panel on a door...would they get it sorted faster? Pull a tech aside informally? Or do they have to go through the same service department process as everyone else?

Mainly just curious if being "on the inside" actually gets you anywhere with this stuff, since dealers are notoriously bad about chasing down rattles for regular customers.

Sunroof water drain panel rattle / creak. 23 Plat

Got another rattle for ya. Consistent rattle / creak sound from the sunroof water panel drain. I've seen other posts, and don't think it's the square rubber pads at the ends. Sounds like the plastic from the panel itself. If I wanted to just replace the thing new, could I ask a local mechanic to do this? How hard would it be to replace myself? Ford dealer would take days and $$$$ to make the official diagnosis, then parts and labor. (The piece is $210)

Rattle in 3rd row

Whether going 25 or 55mph, got this annoying rattle. 2023 Platinum. Can't tell what exactly is doing the rattling. A piece in the seat crease? Something loose I could tighten? When we press against the backrest it appears to stop. Or sitting in the seat. Would the dealer handle this? It doesn't rattle all the time, so I could see them saying something like "oh interesting, well we couldn't reproduce the rattle, doesn't seem like it affects the car" or "yea it's just normal rattle sounds that happen over time".

Carmax vs Carvana vs Private sale of 2008 Exped

Wanting to sell my 08 Ford Expedition Limited. In decent shape. Got it detailed couple months ago, looks clean. I've put some money into it for good fixes (a/c, hvac stuff, axle seal leaks, new alternator) & regular oil changes last couple years. 215k miles. I've read good things about Carvana and Carmax. Unless private sale really outweighs one of those two options, should I go Carvana or Carmax?

2023 Platinum with previous accident

Currently have an 08 exped. This explorer might be the one. Drove well, had 1 accident in past but was serviced by Ford collision center and is now being sold at Ford dealer so it's had all the checks. (Prob just cosmetic issues?) Most expensive one I've driven at $35,400 with 56k miles. Has the 26C11 SYNC SCREEN UPDATE recall, but remedy available... Go for it??

What's the smallest repair you asked dealer to fix before buying a car?

Cupholders, light bulb, dents,... wondering how small is too small a repair to ask a dealer to take care of before buying it. I'm doing some used car SUV shopping 2020+ and sometimes I feel like it's a game of inches. There are sometimes small things that bug me that I really don't wanna take care of after buying, I'd rather it already be fixed and wonder if I'll sound like an ass if I ask the dealer if they can repair/replace a part.

Which is better buy? 21 Limited $24k @ 81k mi vs 22 Limited $27k @ 76k mi

Comparing two Ford Explorer Limiteds and could use some outside opinions.

Both have:

  • 2 owners, clean title
  • 4WD
  • 2nd row captain seats (21 has console in between, kinda weird setup imo)

2021 Limited — $23,990, 81k mi

  • Silver ext / black interior
  • Has tow hitch

2022 Limited — $27,082, 76k mi

  • Black ext / black interior
  • No tow hitch (not a dealbreaker...can Ford dealer install an OEM style hitch aftermarket??)
  • the 2nd personal owner had fewer maintenance history reported & it was eventually repo'd. Big deal or nah?

Basically: is the 22 worth $3k more for ~5,000 fewer miles and one newer model year? Or is that price gap not worth it given how similar they otherwise are?

Quietest Electrolux washer/dryer set?

Looking for QUIET reliable front load machines. I've read mostly good things about Electrolux and LG, but only Electrolux offers reversible washer door which I'd really prefer since that's how my house was built with the washer on the right side (idk why).

Closing GE Profile washer is loud

Just got these today. Is this washer latch supposed to be a really loud click when it closes?? Way louder than my Maytag washer closing. Like the first thing I noticed when I went to check after install. Idk. Seems loud. But what do i know. 1st world problems. I guess I'll need to put a rug in the laundry room.

Cheap electric range worth it? Frigidaire, Amana, Whirlpool

Trying to find a good (decent and reliable enough) range for a basement rental. Don't wanna break the bank. Looking in the 600 ballpark more or less. Thoughts on Frigidaire, Amana or Whirlpool electric stove? They seem to be the more affordable brands < $600. Maybe GE, still seems reasonable. But ideally would like to get the whole set with the same brand - range, micro, dishwasher. Thoughts?

Coaching-how do you coach athletes that don't follow cues or directions?

Example: warming up for push press. "Ok everyone let's get set up, feet under hips, jump the bar up there, elbows slightly on front of the bar, now dip! etc." Basically going thru a progression, then a couple athletes just start doing the full dip and drive, or whatever the movement is. Or, cueing reps with "go" or "squat", and the athlete keeps going and does more than you want them to or just does reps at their own pace.

Is that a culture thing? How does that change? If I'm watching CF YouTube coaching progressions and BHOTD videos and trying to implement cues and progressions into my coaching but some athletes don't really get it, they don't care, they don't want to or whatever, how does a coach deal with that?

▲ 7 r/Tile

Got glass shower guys to finally enclose my shower since it was built as an open concept. Came in after to check their work and the side wall tile was chipped! Also a small crack in the floor that looks and feels like they tried to fix. Can I ask for some $$ back? What can I do practically speaking. Anything? Super frustrating and annoying.

Edit: ok I'm open to the idea that glass people did not do this. I would swear this edge was not chipped before glass being installed and would have bet money on it til just a few mins after I initially posted this

Just had glass people come in and install a glass shower enclosure. Came up to check their work after and saw that this wall tile was chipped. What could have cause that?? Also, shower floor was clearly cracked then looks and feels like they tried to fix. What can be done now, practically speaking? Glass people don't fix tile or floors. Super frustrating.
