Looking to switch from 11 Pro to 11 IoT LTSC for video editing purposes and gaming

So I'm planning on buying a new hard drive soon, and with that I was thinking about wiping my system clean so I can build my own file system from scratch, as it got too cumbersome to navigate at time, since the program I'm using (DaVinci Resolve) doesn't like being installed on anything else other than C: drive, I'll take it as a new opportunity to finally have my files in check. Now with that, I was also fed up with the constant Windows updates that I keep forgetting to delay (I'd rather disable them altogether, but alas there's no option to do so without running scripts). So I recently came across this edition of Windows that's stripped of bloat and most telemetry by default, and I'd like to know if there's going to be anything I need to be prepared for when I make that switch. The main program I use is, as mentioned before, DaVinci Resolve, as well as Photoshop. I do run the NVDIA Studio driver on my machine as of now, instead of the dedicated game-ready one, and I haven't encountered any issues with any of my games, so I really don't care about the "cutting edge" stuff for video games. Any feedback is appreciated!

It's time to put my AKG K52 to rest. Looking for an alternative in the same price range.

So I've bought those back in 2020 and they served me well. It was a blind purchase at the time, and yet I really enjoyed how they sounded in games, media and music, without tinkering around much. However, those 6 years got to them, and recently they just fell apart. Now I'm looking for something similar in soundwise, even though they aren't truly neutral, but I do like the clarity. My only gripe with them was that the ear pads were too small, and prolonged use hurt my ears and forced me to take breaks. I'm also open for IEM suggestions as I own a pair of Moondrop Chu ll, so I know they can be a bang for their buck, but I don't like how bassy they can get.

[Help] Graphic issues on a 15' MacBook Pro 2011

So I've installed latest EndeavourOS on my old MacBook Pro 15' 2011 from a live USB stick and during the installation screen with KDE, everything seemed fine. No visual glitches, Wi-Fi chip connected normally. The problems start after the installation. I tried using XFCE, and now reinstalling, using GNOME, the same graphical issues persist. The icons in UI are garbled, and "flash" when they're being highlighted. The screen on XFCE is particularly bad with this, with the windows movement being teary. Using GNOME, the same garbled icons persist, albeit more smooth than XFCE, now the background has thin black stripes over the default EndeavourOS Titan Neo wallpaper.

Now, I know that the root of the issue is the faulty AMD card that is notorious for failing in these devices, and the solution to it would be to manually disable that GPU and force the system to use Intel graphics. That's where my problem starts, because even after creating GRUB files, editing the GRUB menu in Terminal and bootloader – nothing helps me. I even used Mac's native recovery mode where I entered a long command in the terminal and nothing changed either. The only line that actually helped me was nomodeset, but it removed all animations and everything went back to same thing after reboot. I'm losing hope and sanity fixing it all by myself, any helpful advice would be very helpful, thank you.

Looking to buy an older (2011) Macbook Pro, what should I look out for?

So, I've been meaning to get a laptop solely for the purpose of using it as a glorified typewriter, so I can get into bed and write some Obsidian notes and organise my thoughts and ideas as well as run Linux distros on it for the sake of tinkering and bringing more life to it, to which I found this offer for just 70$, a macbook with 8 gigs of ram, 500gb of storage and a battery that lasts 4-6 hours. The owner also dual boots Windows 7 on it along with MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6, however here's my concerns.

I never owned a Mac family device before, and I'm basically going in blind here, so I'd like to know if there are any pitfalls to look out for when purchasing a machine like that secondhand. Any advice, tips will be appreciated!

This character makes me wish we had more zebra representation in the show (OC by @F4ll3n4ng3lMLP via Twitter)

So I remember playing this game on Windows 7, I presume (unsure) it was one of the older Alawar titles. The game was a 2D side-scroller style shooter with 3D pre-rendered sprites for the player and the enemies.

As far as I can remember, the game features no human characters, only sleek-looking alien ships with technology. Game's plot goes as is: the Earth is invaded by alien ships, and since the humans already live in a very futuristic high tech society, they came up with the ultimate weapon (that you play as) to fight them.

In the game's opening cutscene, a sleek futuristic society city is visible, and one of the buildings, that creates a white sphere vessel being shot up in the sky, that you then play as.

Gameplay starts shortly after the cutscene in the sky with no HUD (not that I can remember), where you are just a tiny flying glowing ball. In that state, you are vulnerable and you're only able to do one action - consume one of the enemies that will eventually fly up to you on the screen. You are able to move in 2D space (left right up and down) with the camera moving automatically.

Once you begin "consuming" one of the alien ships, you're put in a short animation of that enemy being sucked into the ball, and the ball transforms into a light version of that enemy, that you now control and you're using the same weapons as that alien ship. However, you're still prone to damage in that state, and if you get hit, you return to the ball state and you need to consume another enemy to deal damage again.

That's all I can remember about the game, let me know if anyone can help me find it, I've tried so many times to find it but no search gives me what I'm looking for!
