No matter the winner, Shreya has lost respect

I've been watching lockupp since ep1 and all Shreya has done has been to instigate, backbite, corner and ragebait people throughout the show. It felt like a curated kalesh drama series rather than a reality show, and with Shreya going forward even after behaving like an immature uncultured human being without getting called out, it feels all too puppeted as if people are deliberately ragebaiting the viewers.

Whether Shreya wins or loses Lockupp, she will remain a loser in my mind due to her attitude throughout, entitled and rude and badmouthing every single person in the show.

She has lost credibility as a content creator (if she is even one), and her winning or not winning doesn't matter at this point.

It seems like everyone else has lost interest in winning the show and it's all about taking it out on one another, and for Sreya it's just about I'll do best I'll do best whole dragging others down. So embarrassing.

Thanks for reading my rant.

Feels good to see rivva and kushal in the same alliance

'i had made a commitment to kushal..' made me wonder, if they're so close why didn't Kushal or riva approach each other for a joint alliance, and when Mini chose to swap Zaid and riva ouff one of the best moments haha.

This show had become insufferable because of kushal tandon's behaviour towards women in general, telling sabby to 'look good' 'flirt', convincing everybody to vote out Vanshaj and Dolly just because he couldn't handle his ego getting hurt, "protecting" riva when he was just trying to bootlick her father, same with Sohail Bhai, idk man what are you trying to do? Are you trying to play bigg Boss here?

And then Aly goni comes and jaise dolly ne apni story pe bola, '5 minutes is all it took for Aly to take a stand' 🤌🤌 it was fun the moment he entered, didn't expect this.

I think Alliance gave me hope for good sportsmanship within a game show based in India, but with crowd like riva, kushal, etc, it becomes all about kalesh and what not.

My husband told his family how they hurt him. Five elders replied together, denied everything and told him to forget it.

I’m posting with my husband’s knowledge because he doesn’t currently have the emotional energy to write this himself. I’ve used AI only for formatting and organising the story.

My husband recently wrote a detailed letter to his parents and grandfather about things that had affected him from childhood into adulthood.

He wrote about witnessing violence at home, disturbing fear-based stories being told to him as a child, being shamed during adolescence, money being used to control him, unannounced visits, private calls being recorded or put on speakerphone, relatives being contacted to pressure him, and his relationship with his grandfather being damaged through family interference.

Five family elders replied together.

When he mentioned witnessing domestic violence, they said it was his mother’s concern and that he should “forget if at all such thing happened.”

When he described invasion of privacy, his father replied:

«“A father always has access to his son.”»

When he described manipulation, the response was:

«“Manipulation is a word I do not understand.”»

When he mentioned disturbing childhood stories, his mother said:

«“If you find some of them offensive, you may please forget them.”»

Almost every serious issue was answered with denial, justification or “forget it.” They also called him disrespectful and blamed him for the breakdown of the family.

I don’t want to diagnose anyone. I just want to know whether this pattern is familiar to people here.

My husband has gone from intense anger to almost complete emotional detachment. He says he has lost all respect for them and wants indefinite no contact.

How do you recover after finally explaining your pain and realising the family will only rewrite it? How do you stop hoping for acknowledgment? And how can I support him without becoming his therapist or getting pulled into the family conflict myself?

My husband finally told his family how badly they had hurt him. Five elders replied together and blamed him.

I’m writing this with my husband’s knowledge because he’s too emotionally exhausted to put this into words right now. I’ve used AI only to help organise and format the post.

My husband recently wrote to his parents and grandfather about years of emotional harm, control, privacy violations, unannounced visits and relatives being involved in conflicts that should have remained private. He explained specific incidents and asked for basic boundaries.

Five elders in the family replied together.

They mostly denied everything, called the issues trivial, told him to forget the past and said he was disrespectful. One response literally said that a father always has access to his son. They also blamed him for his damaged relationship with his grandfather.

I watched him read the reply. He was furious at first, but now he just seems broken and detached. He says he has lost all respect for them and wants to end contact indefinitely.

I support him, but I don’t know how to help him through the grief of realising that the people he loved may never acknowledge what they did. I’m also worried they will contact me and blame me for separating him from the family.

For people who have gone through this, what helped after you realised there would never be accountability? Did no contact bring relief, or did the guilt get worse first? What kind of therapist helped you process family estrangement without pushing reconciliation?

We're in india by the way.

My husband’s family believes parents should always have access to their adult son. He now wants no contact.

I'm posting with my husband’s knowledge because he’s struggling and doesn’t have the energy to write this himself. I’ve used AI only to organise the post clearly.

My husband recently confronted his parents and grandfather about years of control, emotional pressure, unannounced visits, involving relatives and friends, and refusing to respect his privacy as an adult.

He wrote everything down and asked them not to visit without consent, contact me or his friends, or share private conversations.

Five elders replied together and they denied or minimised almost everything. They told him to forget the past, said family conflict was normal and claimed that a father always has access to his son. They also said he was disrespectful and responsible for the family relationships breaking down.

This has deeply affected him. He feels that they don’t want a relationship with him as an individual. They want obedience, access and the appearance of a happy family.

He now wants indefinite no contact. I support him, but I'm lost on what to do next.

Has anyone here gone no contact with Indian parents or extended family? How did you handle festivals, illnesses, grandparents and relatives trying to intervene?

We’re also looking for an Indian therapist who understands family control, childhood emotional abuse, enmeshment and estrangement, and who won’t immediately push reconciliation. Online therapy is fine. Personal recommendations would really help.
