Looking for honest opinion on adoption

Hi there, we are a same sex couple (2 woman’s) looking into either adopting or using donor. I am wondering what would be best for the potential child to be. I hear a lot of mixed review on both side. I also rather not have a family than doing something unethical.

And one of my family member has discouraged me to adopt due to bad experience he has been hearing from other family who adopted (back in the 60’s) He has been hammering my head about how genetic is important and child trauma, kids being trafficked because of people like me, adoptee never forgiving their parents…

I do not care the slightest about passing my genes, I would love a child unconditionally either way. I feel like I want a family so much. Just wondering if there is a “better way” to do things.

Easy vegan recipes

Hello here

I am doing my best to become vegan, my problem is that I was raised eating meat, eggs and diary my whole childhood every day
I don’t like meat or cheese substitutes.

And I have literally no imagination on how to cook on a daily basis. I end up eating fries everyday now

I was looking for your go to day to day vegan recipes. Nothing overly complicated just how you manage/ what you eat

Thank you in advance ❤️

Seeking Insights from Donor-Conceived Adults

I have questions for donor-conceived people and would be so grateful for insight from those who are actually donor-conceived, rather than random people sharing their opinions.
We are a lesbian couple, very keen to have a family. However, I understand that using a donor may potentially make our future child feel uncomfortable. In our country, regulations forbid unknown donors, so donor-conceived people automatically have access to the donor file at 18. This does not mean that the donor is willing to have a relationship with the child.
Should we refrain from having a family (they have made adoption extremely difficult due to various abuses of the system), or is there a way to have a donor-conceived child without causing confusion and anxiety about it’s origin ? I would be so grateful for any experiences and insights.

Seeking Insights from Donor-Conceived Adults

Hello! If this is the wrong place to ask, please let me know.
I have questions for donor-conceived people and would be so grateful for insight from those who are actually donor-conceived, rather than random people sharing their opinions.
We are a lesbian couple, very keen to have a family. However, I understand that using a donor may potentially harm our future child. In our country, regulations forbid unknown donors, so donor-conceived people automatically have access to the donor file at 18. This does not mean that the donor is willing to have a relationship with the child. But access to information (medical, identify etc is shared )
Should we refrain from having a family (they have made adoption extremely difficult due to various abuses of the system), or is there a way to have a donor-conceived child without causing harm? I would be so grateful for any experiences and insights.
